I am filling the xp gap between Crypt of the Everflame and Mask of the living God

When my players come out of the crypt with Roldare and his sister. Two higher rank Pathfinders who have tracked the Rasmirian cultists from Tamran are at the Crypt entrance.

I will give them a choice which way to go, back to Kassen or back on the track of the cultists.

if they go to Kassen it is this:

Filler content one

if they go on the trail of the cultists then this:

Filler content two

I am concerned that the encounters look to hard, they are rolling over everything in CEF with little difficulties (except the specter)

thanks

I need some content (PFS scenarios most likely) to bridge the xp gap between Crypt of the Everflame and Mask of the Living God

I am 2 sessions into Crypt. I have adjusted the CR to accommodate 5 players, no problem there.

This is how I am going to link the stories.

After the players kill Asar and speak to Kassen, they will find 2 mid level Pathfinders waiting for them outside the Crypt. Arriving that morning. The Pathfinders have followed the cold trail of the Razmir Cultests, to the Crypt. After seeing potential in the players, the Pathfinders extend an offer to join the Society. Then the Pathfinders will split up. One will escort the rescued Roldare and Dimira back to the Town of Kassen. The other will continue to track the Cultist's.

The players can go either direction. Either way they will end up on the river barge, with a report for Reginar in Tamran.
This is where I need to make up about 5000xp. That is a lot of random encounters, I would rather run something with a mini plot i can tie in.

When they finaly get to Tamran, Reginar who is working with a member of the Tamran City council will ask them to infiltrate the Cult. The players will learn that Iramine and a group of Cultists have ridden to Vellimus to hire mercenaries in preparation for the expedition to the Isle of Terror.

To bridge the gap between Mask and City of Golden Death I plan on running PFS scenario #17: Perils of the Pirate Pact. Changing the setting to the lake and some other plot points. (I got this from the Chronicles Podcast) The party should then be able to cross the Lake and arrive a few days after Iramine. Who was delayed with overland travel and hiring mercs.

thanks

This is my first Magus and I want to be sure I have a basic understanding on how the Spell Combat and Spell Strike thing works.

The character is lvl 2

As a full round action, he can declare Spell combat and spell strike,
Then he:
- makes a melee attack at -2 (or I can lower attack roll to add to concentration checks, at 1 for 1)
- casts shocking grasp
- (spellstrike ability) makes another melee attack, where if it hits will discharge the spell into the target (the crit stuff is pretty clear to me)

I am not concerned with an uber build here, I just want to know if it will be broken or not.

I will be playing a Fighter (Trip/Disarm build) in a Ptolus campaign. For some role play reasons, I am thinking about moving him to a Paladin at 6th level.

he is human

here are Ability stats at lvl 1:(i will take Cha at 4 and 8)
Str 17
Dex 14
Con 14
Int 13
Wis 10
Cha 10

Feat progression 1-10:
1.Weapon Focus (Light Flail), Combat Expertise, Imp Trip
2.Imp Disarm
3.Combat Reflex
4.Power Attack
5.Cleave
6.None (1st pally lvl
7. Greater trip
8. none
9. Greater Cleave
10.none

What I am aiming for is a medium Damage character with lots of option in combat. There is a full party, casters, existing Pally, bard and rogue. They are experienced players.

In what book, (product) can I find a Paladin of Torag's code of conduct?

if it is in the PRD or srd I cannot find it.

The only mention of the Code of conduct in the Players guide that I can find is:

CRB pg 63: wrote:
Code of Conduct: A paladin must be of lawful good alignment and loses all class features except proficiencies if she ever willingly commits an evil act.

How many of you have a FGII light, full, or ultimate license?

I am contemplating running a short campaign where most of the RP would be handled here and the combat would be handled in weekly or more than weekly FGII sessions.

this is really just an interest check

You wake on a cold stone floor. This is not the blackness of night. This is the complete and total absence of light. You try to remember where you are, and how you cam to be here to no avail. As you stand, you begin to feel about your person and realize that you are dressed in your full set of gear. You take a step and stumble over another figure laying on the floor. He/she..it? begins to stir.

You pull a torch from the outside of your pack. The flint sparks are almost blinding, in short time the torch illuminates what appears to be a large natural cavern. Oddly enough, the ground under your feet is flat and polished smooth. A large circle about 50' in diameter ringed with strange markings that you have never seen before.

Others are laying on the flat circle still asleep or beginning to wake up.

You think to yourself,

"Where the hell am I?"

Several weeks ago you received a letter from your faction leader instructing you to travel to the small town of Golsifar on Taldor’s coast. Your orders are to be there by mid month to rendezvous with your other team members. Once you are there a Society operative will give you the rest of your orders.

The rain has not let up for days, a constant drip and drizzle, working it's way into your cloths and belongings. The Goring Boar Inn is the one saving grace of Golsifar. Your team trickles in one at a time from the far points of the map. There is still another day until mid month so your team takes the opportunity to rest, relax and get to know each other.

Introductions please...

Yep...

Here it is...

I am the 1st to admit that I may not fully understand what I am doing here.

I am trying to set up a RSS feed for this thread:

http://paizo.com/threads/rzs2p3y9?PFS-Scenario-024-Decline-of-Glory

When I add the rss feeds url to Google reader, or my rss feed reader in MS mail it does not give any posts.
here is the rss feed url:

http://paizo.com/paizo/messageboards/community/campaigns/recruitment/v5748r zs2p3y9&xml=atom

As an experiment I set up an rss feed for the recruitment section of the online campaign's, located here:

http://paizo.com/paizo/messageboards/community/campaigns/recruitment

it worked both in google reader, and in MS mail

here is the RSS url:

http://paizo.com/paizo/messageboards/community/campaigns/recruitment&xm l=atom

What am i doing wrong? I cannot get it to work on any individual threads.

thanks

The Society has sent a group of Pathfinders to to the secluded town of Railford to establish a new lodge. The lodge master's words echo in your head as you travel the disused roads and paths.

“This mission is easy,” he said, “All you need to do is travel
to Railford, find the son of Iodon Railford and convince him
to let the Pathfinders use part of his distillery as a lodge. We
have finances, we can protect him, and if nothing else, we can
help him honor the work of his father, who after all, was one
of us.”

This will be my 1st attempt at a PBP game so bear with me.

Requirements:

- PFS legal character
- Society number
- If seclect to play I will need all chronicle sheets for your character.
- ability to post 2 times or more a day (i will not be a nazi about this)

Recruitment will stay open until Nov 7th, at that point I will pick the party.

Tier of play will be determined by applicants, feel free to submit multiple characters (you can only play one though). Tier's are 1-2, 3-4, 6-7.

Party size will be no more than 6.

I will be using maps with coordinates for battles.

We will have a short discussion about game protocol and ground rules when the players are picked

thanks, looking forward to the game!!
I will set the event up with Pazio before the weekend.

I think I read where there will be as many as 3 NPC settlements when the game launches. I also read somewhere that the buy/sell orders will be linked. I am not sure if this will extend to player owned settlements or not. I think that if handled in the correct way it could be done in an immerse way that does not force the suspension of belief.

my ideas on linking trade hubs in a iron age/magic culture. a tier system should be set up, unlocked by skills

- player to player transaction - (no link/update, no tax, no broker fee, inventory on hand)
just one player buying an item from another, anyone can do it w/o skill restriction.

- trading post - (daily link/update, minimal tax, minimal broker fees, able to order )
player or npc small trading post, they get market updates from a major trade hub daily via courier. items posted for sale will be linked when trade hub is updated (when the courier makes it to a linked hub) taxes will go to who controls the region, brokers fees to pay for the trading post upkeep, both are minimal. accessible with minimal skill investment.

- Market - (twice daily link/update, moderate tax, moderate brokers fee)
market link is updated twice a day, via messenger bird. Taxes are higher, as are brokers fees. takes a moderate skill investment

- high traffic market - (hourly link/updates, high taxes, high brokers fees)
Updates are made via magic remote viewing spells every hour. I think that the NPC trade hubs should be set here. High taxes, and high fees to pay for casters/ spell components. very high skill investment

- Trade hub - (continuous link/updates, large upkeep costs and maintenance fees)
Large, wealthy player settlements will eventually get these. highest lvl skill investment

Distance will be the great equalizer with a system like this, delivery will become a profession all to itself.

I have been reading the blog and I want to voice my opinion.

I think that the death mechanic should more closely resemble the tabletop game, with some modifications.

1.) when you die, you become an incorporeal spirit who can communicate with other PC and NPC but not physically interact.

2.) you can choose to re-incarnate to become another playable race, with a skill penalty.

3.) a player or npc can resurrect you. (all sorts of mechanics can be employed for this, your spirit can contract someone to retrieve your body and gear, or perhaps you leave some hair, or other part of yourself with a local temple that specializes in resurrecting dead adventures)

4.) i think gear should remain with your body and be loot-able, but a decent chance it is broken.

I am looking forward to this game and I do want it to be as imersive as possible.

One of my players ran a lvl 4 pre-gen last night. I do not have all that much experience as a gm and need a quick clarification.

The Scenario was run at sub tier 3-4. His options to apply credit for the chronicle sheet are:

1.) I issue the Chronicle sheet and he can apply it to a character when it hits lvl 4.

2.) He can apply the chronicle sheet to a lvl 1 character now, but he must take the lower tier (1-2) gold and item reward on the sheet.

Are there any other options?

thanks

Can a character lvl in the middle of a Sanctioned Module?

or only when the chronicle sheet is awarded?

I stumbled across PFS a few months ago, and have been running some games online using Fantasy Grounds II and having a blast.

I want to get some advice on some consumables for my two main characters right now, a lvl 2 bard and a lvl 1 fighter.

They both have 3 potions of cure light wounds, and i just realized they could get a wand for 2 pp, so they both will do that.

A wand of Mage Armor, is pretty tempting, especially for the Fighter.

What other wands should I pick up? (i do see the need for a few CLW potions, and some nifty stuff like bulls strength, enlarge, ect)

Also, my understanding of how the wands work is:

1.) if my fighter has a wand of CLW, he must let another party member who has CLW in his/her spell list cast it, or the fighter must take skill points in Use Magic Devise and then roll and make a DC 20, or the charge is lost.

thanks
