Background:
Niralzi has had a varied life. She hails from Karcau – raised by a musical family who taught her life’s lessons through song. The Anut family migrated over millennia to Karcau – finding refuge in music from the terrors of their past in Nidal. Though Fletchlings by birth, her family has long distrusted the ShadowPlane – choosing instead to embrace their more human characteristics imparting strong superstitions against outsiders and undead. Niralzi grew up in a musical community and was fortunate enough to live near an instrument store wherein she was able to practice on many different instruments. Her family scrimped and saved to afford the occasional silver instrument to more beautifully play their songs of lore. Though loving the music and protection of her family, Niralzi longed to travel. She set off with a group of traveling musicians – able to make a meager living as an entertainer. Her travels brought her to Absalom where she was fortunate enough to play for a pathfinder who appreciated her talent. In exchange, she was allowed to study in the vaults beneath the Grand Lodge. Here Niralzi found her true calling in the stories of famous bards applying knowledge in song to combat shadow and evil. It was while in her early Pathfinder lodge studies that she crossed paths with the venerated Professor Lorrimor. The professor recognized the Ustlavian songs young Niralzi would sing while studying. He proposed to pay for her travel back should she be willing to entertain along the way. Missing her family, Niralzi jumped at the offer. During their lengthy travel together, a band of goblins came upon their caravan. Niralzi’s song of distraction gave the guard enough time to protect the professor and fend off the foes. Professor Lorrimor and Niralzi parted ways upon arriving in Ustlav however he profusely thanked her again for saving them all. Back in Karcau, Niralzi continues to practice her music however itches to adventure and again have access to the great libraries of the world.
