I have read many places that it is better for a monk to use brass knuckles than regular unarmed strikes. Can anyone explain this to me as it seems that you are taking a severe hit in damage by using them.

My character in Kingmaker died. I am thinking of a Brutish Rogue. Someone that will sneak attack with a nodinada (?) d10/18-20x2 I think.
I see him at lvl 5...since the party is lvl 5. I am thinking 3 rogue/ 2 fighter. It is a 20 point buy and am thinking of taking a half-elf as my race so I can get favored class bonus for both classes.

I have never played a bard before and don't know exactly how to make them. First I know that CHA should be my highest stat, and that I am mostly perficient with whips. So should DEX or STR be important and I suppose that a high INT would also be advisable.
So as far as skills and feats go what should I focus on.

I have never used poisons in my game play, but I am making a dhampire ninja and one of the main class abilities is the use of poisons. How do they work and which ones should I focus on.

Any games going on in the Provo, UT area that need a player. I have the itch to play again and at this point I am not picky about the format.

I know in the advanced race guide there was a generic centaur, but I want to know if anyone has played one or had one in their campaign. Also if you could post your version of the race. I am trying to make one to add to a Kingmaker campaign.

Can you apply sneak attack damage while using an elvan curve blade if you are a medium sized creature?

I have been dying to play in a star wars campaign setting. I just don't know if anyone Dms them....

I have always wanted to play a barbarian and never seem to be able to get him into a campaign. He would be an intelligent barbarian and rather well spoken. He is a half-orc, but he looks human until he rages then his tusks emerge and you can see his orcish features. I post frequently so that should not be an issue.

This is an epic scale campaign where the dragon that keeps evil in check is dying and you must find the hidden dragon age and get it back before she dies otherwise the world is lost.
Party make-up:
Half-orc Barbarian
Half-orc Inquisitor (he thinks himself a paladin)
Dwarf Armiger
Half-Elf Ranger
Human Sorcerer
Rules:
Characters start at level 2
Any class and race from Core, APG, Ultimate Combat, Ultimate Magic, and 3rd party races and classes with approval.
28 point buy
Average Starting Wealth
2 traits and a 3rd will be given at a later time
We really could use a healer.

I am currently looking to fill a vacated spot in my kingmaker game. We are in need of an arcanist of sorts.
The current party consists of:
Centaur Ranger
Human Ranger (skill monkey)
Hobgoblin Fighter
Human Cleric
Any class from Core, APG, Ultimate Magic, Ultimate Combat and I am open to 3rd party classes, but they need a good backstory.
Rules:
28 point buy
2 Traits (one must be a campaign trait)
Average starting wealth

I have a campaign going in which I need to fill 2 slots vacated by players who left due to RL conflicts.
Characters will have a 20 point buy
2 Traits (and one campaign will be given at a time in the future)
The characters are currently lvl 2

Background:
The dragon that keeps the balance between good and evil has been poisoned and his army destroyed. You will be thrust into a fight to find and bring a single dragon egg back before the dragon dies or all hope will be lost.

We could use a magic user (wizard, sorcerer, alchemist) and a skill monkey or a defender type class.
Please no evil characters (as from my experience they cause problems in the party)
Any class from core, apg, ultimate combat or ultimate magic.
Any race from the core or apg and any of their alternative racial traits are acceptable.

Male Half-Orc Monk level 1

Ok guys here is our campaign thread. In case you have not noticed we have 3 rangers that were chosen (William I realize that you are more of the rogue / skill monkey role). None the less I had committed to Chiron during our building of his race that he could be more of a damage ranger. So with that said is there anyone who would consider changing their class? If so just let me know. When everyone has checked in I will get this thing started.

Recruiting players for a Kingmaker PbP
25 point buy
Medium starting wealth
2 traits and one must be a campaign trait
Core races only, unless a very compelling backstory
Classes from Core, APG, Ultimate Combat and Ultimate Magic

I am an experienced player looking for a pathfinder game somewhere in Utah County. I can meet most nights.

Ok...since there is a lot of interest I will start a Kingmaker PbP.
Characters will be a 20 point buy
Average starting wealth
2 traits one of them campaign related.
Stick to Core, AP, UM, and Ultimate Combat.
I will leave this open until Saturday at midnight EST, upon which I will make my decisions.

You find yourselves in the small farming town of Lakeshore, and by happen stance it appears to be some type of festival. The festivities seem to be all near the center of the town around the Fancy Farmer Inn and Tavern. A rather substancial group of people all seem to be happily greeting each other and enjoying some of Fanny's special ale. It seems that each year she produces a different flavor and this year people are saying that it is better than usual. As you look around the town you notice that all the buildings are made of sturdy walls and thatched roofs, in fact they look almost identical from the outside. You notice a singular man of importance at the far end of the festival.

I have written a novel that would work great in the pathfinder system, so I am looking for players who would be interested in my campaign.
Story background:
You start off in a small village at a festival. A series of events happen and you have to flee the village. You are sent on a quest to find the dying dragon (the creature in charge of maintaining the balance of good and evil). You have to make it to him before and find the lone dragon egg before the dragon dies or else the world will be overcome with darkness.
This is a campaign that can be for good and evil characters, but good or neutral characters tend to make for more party cohesiveness.
If interested post your character idea and I will choose a party of 5 for my campaign.
Please limit your character ideas to core book, apg, ultimate combat and ultimate magic.
Thanks!

I am new to pathfinder, but am looking for a play by post group. I am open to roll out any type of character, but prefer melee based ones. Thanks you!
Or I would be willing to GM a game for play by post. I have been writing a novel that would fit very well into the pathfinder system, and I would be willing to play that novel out with a group of willing adventurers.

Would a druid know when his companion was killed no matter the distance between them. Also if he would know and they were just separated how would the companion act (i.e. would he try and find the druid) while the druid is out looking for him. Last question is how far away would the companion have to be for a druid to not be able to sense them anymore?
Thanks!

With the pyromantic racial trait for gnomes it says that all fire spells count as 1 lvl higher. Now does this increase the damage or is it just that the D/C check is higher to resist the spells. Thanks

The advanced players handbook does not mention if a witch can be either male or female. Perhaps if it is a male it would be called a warlock?

I am sure that there is already an answer to this question somewhere, but in the description of lightning arc it says that it "targets any for with 30 feet with a range touch attack..." does this mean that you can target only 1 foe or is it all foes? I am reading it as it hitting a single foe, but the wording is different that others such as fire where it says, "any single foe...". Any help or clarification would be appreciated. Thanks!

Do mounts gain levels and hp with your character? Specifically with the cavalier mount?

Since a cavalier is essentially cavalry is it assumed that they get the feat of Mounted Combat upon creation.
Also is it assumed that they ride their mount bareback or do they start with a saddle of some sort?
Thank you again!

In the Core Rules Book under Cleric and in the Advanced Players Handbook it says that Clerics and Inquisitors cannot cast spells that are opposed to their alignment and the alignment of their god. So can a neutral cleric with a chaotic evil god use spells like cure wounds or would that be considered a spell opposed to their alignment? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
