I would very much like to join a play-by-post!

Is anyone interested in starting one up? Anyone?

Personally, I would love to play in the Falcon's Hollow series.

I have a question about the Character Wealth table in the DMG page 54.

I am suppose to roll up a 5th character for a game tomorrow and use the Wealth table to figure out what kind of magic items to buy.

5th level says Expected Wealth Gain 4,000 gp.

Does this mean I have 4,000 gp to spend or do I add this up with all the prior levels for a total of 13,000 gp (900+1,800+2,700+3,600+4,000)?

This is not meant to be negative towards the Seeds of Sehan which is a great adventure, but where are the Far Realms?!?

It seemed like all the hype leading up to the new arc suggested it was a Far Realms adventure...I guess I was looking for something more along the lines of Dragon #330 than a half-farspawn boss.

Does the third installment add some more Cordell flavor?

Really, otherwise it's great. I love the Child of Sehan!

Hey everyone, when I do a literal reading of the rules it appears that whenever my character takes a first level in a new class I get the x4 skill points boost. Is this right? I sorta understand the initial bunch of skills as a reflection of your life up to that point. It seems a bit odd that after a few levels of fighter all of a sudden I get oodles of skill points by taking a level in Rogue.

I have a question about the DCs for spells cast by Favored Souls. The Complete Divine states that the DC is based on the character's Wisdom bonus. Is this correct? (yes)

I ask because if the Favored Soul is suppose to be the divine counterpart to a Sorcerer, which bases its DCs off Charisma (the same ability that governs spell level and bonus slots - same as the Bard, by the way), why is the Favored Soul different? I mean, even the assassin and shugenja uses the same ability for both features.

I concede that the spirit shaman has the same twisted (but opposite) ability score uses.

I guess I'm looking for the crunch and fluff reasons if anyone has any insights.

Question, and I understand the consensus might be to RTFM (Read the Fantasy-role-playing-game Manual) but I have. Several times. And I'm still confused. So please excuse the new guy and help me out if you can.

How do calculate the DC for a wand?

Many thank yous
