Archetypes. There are enough base classes as it is, and PrCs should be reserved for special groups/organizations or for *really* unique ideas that can't fit into an existing class in any way.

I totally agree.

Any news concerning this update file?

There's a lot of reasons why the Mega-Dungeon seems like such a fascinating concept to many. I'll list a few below:

You absolutely can upgrade items.

You can make a +1 weapon into a +5 weapon.
You can make a flaming weapon into a flaming burst weapon.
You can make a belt of giant strength into a belt of physical perfection.
You can take a staff and add a new spell to its repertoire.

In each case, you simply pay the difference in gold. You still must have the appropriate magic item creation feats and must make the appropriate magic item crafting checks, however.

I second carrion Hill. A very good module and it's pure Lovecraft.

Don't forget "From Shore to Sea".

Cthulhu fhtagn!

The Order of the Cockatrice Cavalier's Challenge bonus ability reads, "... he receives a +1 morale bonus on all melee damage rolls made against the target of his challenge as long as he is the only creature threatening the target".

+1. At most, masterwork bastard sword.

Book sounds awesome! More undead is always a good thing in my mind.

But...Carrion Crown? This I had not heard.

Carrion Crown is the Adventure Path that starts in February, after Serpent's Skull ends. It's set in Ustalav. Where the horror lives.

Listen to them. Children of the night. What music they make.

After carefully reading the Afflictons section in the PRD, I need clarification.

If my character suffers damage from poison, he must make a save to avoid the affliction. If he fails, must make another save after the onset period has elapsed. If he fails this second save, begins to suffer the poison's effect.

Am I right? What happens if the poison have no onset?

From the PRD (Creature Types):

Quote:
ANIMAL: Proficient with no armor unless trained for war.

Accordingly, a combat trained animal gains armor proficiency (the text does not say to what degree).

Riding dog has nearly identical statistics to wolf (CR 1), and better than any CR 1/2 animal (except dolphin).

Your creature is not proficient with the armor it wear, and CA50 seems excessive for a CR23 monster.

My suggestion is that, using the base creature, add 3HD and the Advanced and Giant creature templates, without class levels.

I think this would be a proper CR23 monster.

Imagine a room with some dim light, a couple torches here and there. And some monsters fighting some PCs.

An oridinary rogue can hide in the shadowy area because it gives him concealment (20% miss chance and allows the use of Stealth).

I'm not sure that you can use Stealth in dim light if the monsters are observing you. "If people are observing you, you can not use stealth."

Sure, rules say that "[...] finding cover or concealment allows you to use Stealth." But I think both points must be applied. If you succeed in create a diversion to hide and you are in dim light, then you can use Stealth. Hide in Plain Sight allows you to hide in (or near) dim light while observed.

I'm not sure if a monster with darkvision can see a character using Hide in Plain Sight. It is a supernatural ability, so I guess this is not an ordinary hide. What do you think?

Also, the tengu has climb +5. It should be +7 (+1 skill point, +3 class bonus, +3 Dex)

Climb adds Str bonus, no Dex.

Drow:
This makes BAB +1, so the Rapier attack correction is wrong, as the blighter has a Rapier and Weapon Finesse, and Dex 15 (+2). Rapier Attack should remain +3, not be errata'd to +2.

Drow Noble, Cleric 3 (BAB +2)
Again, the errata makes an unneeded change, as it has Rapier, Weapon Finesse and Dex 17 (+3), Masterwork rapier (+1 Atk), for a total Rapier Attack +6 (as was printed, pre-errata).

The errata is ok.

From Weapon Finesse feat: "[...] If you carry a shield, its armor check penalty applies to your attack rolls."

Core book, magic weapon description section, page 468:
Damaging Magic Weapons: An attacker cannot damage a magic weapon that has an enhancement bonus unless his weapon has at least as high an enhancement bonus as the weapon struck.

Does this mean that it is impossible to damage a magic weapon with a normal weapon regardless the wielder's strength or the normal weapon's material?

Can anyone explain me why a medium dog is a CR 1/2, and a wolf a CR 1? Both creatures are identical. The dog is even stronger.

The comparison between an orc and a goblin is even more flagrant. An orc has better statistics than a goblin. With its superior strength and ferocity, an orc always will be a more dangerous opponent.

Someone can enlighten me on this?

Sarenrae, Godess of Redemption.

What happen with 'Shield Focus'?

Seelah has a +5 shield bonus to her AC. A +3 heavy steel shield AND 'Shield Focus' feat must be a +6 shield bonus.

Am I wrong?

Giant SUBTYPE?

Combat Maneuver Defense?

Maybe I'm alone, but I prefer the Flat system for hit points. The Standard system is (in my humble opinion) insufficient, the Double system is excessive and the Racial system may condition the race chosen for the character. A Flat system of +6 hit points at 1st level seems to me a moderate and balanced solution for the low level's durability problem.

Please, excuse my English. This is not my mother tongue.

Dazzling Display (p.70) needs clarification too. With a successful Intimidate check, can I frighten or demoralize (shaken) all foes within 30 feet?
The heading text says "frighten" (but this text usually is to give flavor) and Intimidate rules says "shaken".
Please, excuse my English. This is not my mother tongue.

Extra Turning (p.66): In Prerrequisite and Benefit says "turn or rebuke" instead "channel energy".

In Alpha 2, using lay on hands is a standard action. This sentence is omitted in Alpha 3. Is this intentional? Can a 6th level paladin use lay on hands as a full round action to make two touch attacks against an undead?

In Races (p.11): "Halflings receive a +2 racial bonus on sound-based Perception skill checks."
In Skills (p.63): "A halfling has a +2 bonus on hearing- AND TASTE-based Perception checks." (emphasis mine)
