Necalli Will: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (2) + 15 = 17 rrrrrrrrip Necalli falters briefly as the breath is rent from her lungs! 76-62-Drained for 9 = 71? Not sure if Necalli is downed quite yet unless I'm missing something. (Might be referencing the Level 8 HP, Level 9 HP is Ancestry 4 + ((Class 6 + Con 2) *9 Level = Total 76)

Reflex save: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (3) + 17 = 20 Necalli lets out a screech as the lightning courses through the owl's body. Admittedly not sure how useful Necalli was going to be in this fight anyways so it could have easily happened to a worse target, still very painful however.

The hawk-owl is busy preening the blood from her heavily bandaged wings when Ro tags her, drawing a derisive glare from the hawk owl. Seeing his companion agitated, Amada takes a break from preparing his magical wards to speak up with a smirk. “I see someone’s feeling defensive about a lack of contribution to today’s battles. Go socialize, lazy girl;, maybe a little exercise will get you in gear for the next fight.” Necalli ignores the elf’s suggestion, instead choosing to brood alone…

◆ Command an Animal (Amada) Necalli swiftly moves to continue flanking with Astrid before tearing into the foe with her beak as best she can. ◆ Fly
Necalli's expression is one of annoyance, unsure of what is keeping her partner. She'd have to berate him later. Amada may as well be out of the combat since his ranged weapon is currently on the ramp, so assume his two actions are spent trying to climb back up; shouldn't be relevant with how much is left in the combat.

GM redeux wrote: Ranger Animal Companion free actions when not commanded have to be directed towards the hunted prey of the ranger, so Necalli sadly is forced to idle. Since Necalli is left to her own devices, she likely just Hovers until commanded again or a new Hunt Prey is established; either that or she moves toward Amada to attack him next turn if you think she'd have any idea what was happening. I'll leave that up to your call GM. Mature Animal Companion (Ranger) wrote: During an encounter, even if you don't use the Command an Animal action, your animal companion can still use 1 action that round on your turn to Stride toward or Strike your prey. Necalli hovers in place, somewhat confused by the sudden disappearance of her foe. Checking back to Amada, the owl begins to agitatedly hoot, expecting some sort of command.

Fortitude: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (11) + 14 = 25 Success, Drained 1 Responding positively to the elf's thoughts, Necalli braves the worst of the cyclops' draining gaze, before diving in to harry Amada's target in tandem with Ro. ◆ Fly to Flank ◆ Bite vs Hunted Pink: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (17) + 14 = 31 vs FF

Necalli continues her frenzied assault against the wounded cyclops to little effect, distracted as she is by the wind. -◆ (Amada) 1Action: Command Animal
--Added Precision damage to first successful hit: Hunter’s Edge: 1d8 ⇒ 7
If first strike kills the hunted cyclops, Necalli Flies instead of second strike.: - ◆ Fly into Flanking with Pink. [directly across from Ro, 15’ north of White Cyclops] (ground level, vs rough terrain, so effective speed is 25')

Hearing Amada's whistle, Necalli takes flight, beating her wings heavily in pursuit of the signaled target before attempting to tear into its kneecap. - 1Action: Fly (ground level, vs rough terrain, so effective speed is 25') - 1Action: Bite vs Hunted Green: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (18) + 14 = 32 vs likely FF from Quinoline

Necalli bristles somewhat, apprehensive of the strong winds and suddenly very conscious of the barding donning her form. For now, the bird continues obeying her last instructions and follows Ro's lead.

My bad, keep forgetting that I couldn't figure out how to modify the alt to show stats without me C&P'ing them every post. Looks like a basic hit unless that save really nerfed AC.

(In case I need to roll Nature for this to offer this slightly more complex command to Necalli, the roll is Nature: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24 to have Necalli hopefully find Thomas.) Necalli lets out an abrupt "SKRaw!!" before leaving the room, and with any luck will gain altitude and find Thomas in the town. (Perception, with results that may vary depending on GM's allowance for animal intellect: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24) Edit: Wow this thread is active at this hour!

The bird resting on Amada's shoulder rotates its head fully around to stare back at Thomas, seemingly more curious than anything else. After an uncomfortably long time, the bird begins preening its feathers. |
