Nalshene blinks. Blinks again. "I... would accept that honor, if it can be given to one such as myself. The things I could learn about the universe, about magic, from you... transcend comprehension. Would you have me as an avatar of your divinity, Cassandalee?" Diplomacy: 1d20 + 41 ⇒ (14) + 41 = 55 I figure if she's retiring, I may as well take her out with a bang, no? Let's see what the new goddess thinks.... :-D

I am 100% in agreement, this was fantastic. Now Nalshene will be going officially into retirement (I'm going to use a convention boon on her that will give her another 3 XP if I don't play her for a full year, so she'll end her career at a respectable level 19. :-D

Nalshene stares slightly blank-faced at the dissipating digital god, and then whoops with joy! "We did it! I must admit, I was a bit worried there! That was the most challenging thing I've ever engaged, to be sure. I only wish my magic could have been of more help... but no matter, we won!"

Nalshene can't make that Reflex save, but I guess a natural 20 is possible, right? LOL
Last round of my boosted caster level, let's hope I can make it count. Nalshene deftly jumps behind some rubble, partially shielding herself from the blast, but Narshala takes the full brunt of it. Leaves Nalshene with 1 temp HP and 88/89 regular HP, and Narshala with 60/110 HP. Then Nalshene flies forward a bit to within 15 feet of the new Unity and casts a powerful spray of bright colors.
Seeing her colorful spray wash over the "god" with no effects, she bites her lip and just casts a spell that will deal some damage to the thing.
Nalshene then sighs. This creature is frustrating.

ACK! I missed my +2 on the SR check from True Magic of the Shadowcaster! The diamond spray should have hit her. (I remembered the +2 for the chains of light, but forgot it on the second spell). Maybe the GM will have mercy on me and still deal the damage? :-D Narshala chases after the last angel, reaching up to bite it. From what I can tell, it's only 5 feet off the ground, so she can reach it easily. bite: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (3) + 16 = 19 damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7

She then flies forward toward the "god" and casts a spell with a few simple movements of her fingers, quickly conjuring a spray of diamonds.

Nalshene grits her teeth as she feels her magic leave her once more. "This is getting gods-damned ridiculous!" she fumes. She moves to just outside the area of the anti-magic field, her magic flooding back to her once more. She says a quick incantation and slices open her hand, letting some blood flow into her incantations as she casts two spells in rapid succession.

Nalshene rushes past the fallen angel, going through the excruciatingly-frustrating anti-magic area and coming out the other side, becoming Tiny and winged again. She then quickly casts a shadowy electricity spell and hurls some balls of energy at Unity.

Nalshene moves forward a bit and frowns at the (blue) creature in front of her, knowing that its revolting anti-magic field will continue to keep her from getting anything useful done. "My friends, please destroy that creature so that I may be of assistance to our poor Agata over there." She then calls Narshala to her.
Female gnome Sorcerer 16/Oracle 1 | hp 88/89 (1 TEMP) | AC 15, T 13, FF 14 | Fort +6, Ref +6, Will +11 | Perception +25
Nalshene casts a spell at Unity, hoping to distract it from killing poor Agata. A ball of shadowy fire shoots from the floor, engulfing Unity and swirling around the false god.
"Narshala, to me." Nalshene says, and prepares to cast a spell on her companion that may help her deal at least SOME damage to the creatures we are facing. Calling Narshala to myself and prepping to cast form of the dragon II on her during her turn.

Nalshene, once again tiny and winged thanks to the AMF going away from her, flies the opposite direction from her wall of iron and sees Miranda dealing with another creature. This one will likely also have an anti-magic field around it, so she will have to leave Miranda to deal with it, unfortunately... also unfortunately, she has no way to get around the damnable thing without losing all her magic and likely being flayed by it, so she'll have to remain where she is. Man, I just have literally nothing I can do against these AMF angels. My only conjuration spells are shadow conjuration, so they would still wink out inside the field. UGH.
Female gnome Sorcerer 16/Oracle 1 | hp 88/89 (1 TEMP) | AC 15, T 13, FF 14 | Fort +6, Ref +6, Will +11 | Perception +25
Ack, yeah I got confused because of my veil affecting it. Let's see... wow this is tough. So many of my spells are entirely useless, and I'm kinda nothing without spells LOL. And I can't just run away cuz there's another monster nearby. Ugh. Nalshene sees that her veil worked to slow the creature, but not to stop it. She decides to at least make it work to get near her. "To me, Narshala!" she calls, and waits for Narshala to get away from the creature before throwing up a Wall of Iron between herself and the creature. Okay, so Nalshene will ready an action to cast greater shadow conjuration to create a Wall of Iron between herself and the creature as soon as Narshala comes back toward her. The creature will get a Will save to disbelieve it, and if it does disbelieve it, the wall will have 1/5 its normal hit points, which is normally 30 points per inch of thickness. Since this is an instantaneous conjuration, the wall appears and is unaffected by the antimagic field. I think this works. LOL

Crappo, totally forgot that. Also means Nalshene got de-magicked again and is Small again instead of Tiny and flying. GM, can you confirm for me that the anti-magic field is still up, just to be sure?
Female gnome Sorcerer 16/Oracle 1 | hp 88/89 (1 TEMP) | AC 15, T 13, FF 14 | Fort +6, Ref +6, Will +11 | Perception +25
Nalshene smiles broadly, flits back just a bit, pulls out a bit of the essence of magic, touches a rod at her side, and fires a blast of colorful light at the angel.
BAH! I got excited and didn't realize it wasn't my turn yet. Can we just hold these actions for when my actual turn starts? LOL

As the Deva gets close to her, Nalshene suddenly grows to her normal, Small size, and as she falls to the floor, the creature swings its sword and takes a sizable chunk out of her arm. "Cursed creature, you'll pay for that one." she spits through gritted teech as she holds the arm which is suddenly much skinnier and more... bony. Without her magical abilities, she is forced to simply scurry out of the way. Full withdraw around the corner. Hopefully that gets her out of the area of the antimagic field. If it does, she will then cast a Quickened Tenebrous loathsome veil right in front of her (shown by a line on the map) which the outsider will likely see when it rounds the corner before it can de-magic-ify it. If so, DC 27 Will save or become nauseated based on its hit dice - 11.

Nalshene, hoping to quickly put the two angelic creatures out of commission, casts a veil of twisting, pulsating colors. Once we're able to rest and prepare for the next day, Nalshene is going to use her Versatile Spontaneity feat to prepare control construct so that she can use her own level to determine its effects, and use her 3rd-level Ring of Spell Knowledge to learn Disable Construct.. She'll also request that one of the divine casters use restoration on her to remove her negative levels. "I believe with sufficient preparation, we can vanquish this false god. "I don't know about the rest of my friends here, but it would take me a minimum of weeks or more of study to understand anything about these 'augmentations' you speak of, so I doubt we would be able to help. Instead, it may make sense to send you elsewhere while we rest and during our time in the Godmind, so that Unity does not suddenly take control of you and force you to harm us when we are vulnerable. What do you think, my friends?" The cloak of resistance +3 would be an upgrade for me, so if she is not averse to it, I would take that and wear it.

Nalshene looks at Ophelia. "You seem like the pragmatic type. Join us in our fight against this threat to the universe. You can already see that we will win this fight, I think. That was all of Nalshene's False Life, but it meant she only took 2 real damage, so that's nice. :) Nalshene, hearing the end of the herald above, cancels her pit and rises up.
So, I currently have 2 temporary negative levels and 27 damage. We're all hurting, but damned if that wasn't an awesome battle! :)

GM Upaynao wrote: Just so you know; I was under the impression you were hugging the ceiling of this room. Otherwise, you are totally in the blast radius. I think it can be reasonable for you to create a pit and fly down it without taking damage. If you decide to let yourself fall, you will be taking fall damage. Let's go with that, then. I may very well have said before I was hugging the ceiling, just forgot. I should probably indicate height on the map when I'm flying, anyway. Falling damage shouldn't be much more than my temporary hit points, so I think it's worth it.

"Eep! Hold on guys!" Nalshene flies into the middle of her allies and casts greater dispel magic trying to dispel any of the spheres that materialized around them. It's a 20-ft burst, so she had to move 10 feet to do it.
Then, in order to separate herself from her allies as best she can, Nalshene quickly conjures a pit directly below her, and allows herself to follow it downward to the bottom.
