The duo manage to only get singed by the first flame, working together to dodge most of the damage, but neither see the second one coming as each of them get sizzled to about half their health.

Naiar quickly whistles for Boots to engage the left drake as he slides around beside Aurora and slaps her with a Cure Moderate Wounds.

Naiar feels his healing energy flow through his statue-like arm, into Aurora, as Boots moves in to bite a drake.

Only to feel his teeth dig into the hard scales and do nothing.

Gamin senses Naiar's life dwindling and whispers some Guidance to him as the battle ensues.

Naiar is the quiet uncharismatic sort so he's been sitting in the back of the group talking amongst himself, Boots and Gamin. He watches for when the group needs to know something, but since nothing has come up recently, he's just watching Aurora be the face of the group.

Naiar pulls out his own Wand of CLW and whistles for Boots to come over so he can heal him up a bit...

Boots rears up on his hind legs and takes a hop towards the guard before doing a full power attack on him!

The spirit rolls its eyes at Naiar as the target is already confused, so he shoots off a pair of snake magic missiles instead at the closest target in sight.

Boots makes a double move straight, running through the doors and stopping in front of the nearest guard to prepare for an incoming storm of attacks as Naiar runs up behind him 40 ft and if he has 30 ft sight to the guard near Boots, will whisper a word to the spirit of Lore and watch it go bother the guard as part of his Confusion Curse.

DC 17 Will Save negates; if he fails become Confused for 5 rounds. 1 per target per day. I believe he will get an attack of opportunity on Boots though. Boots has 24 AC.

Gamin speaks up from Naiar's hip, "This sea creature is taking your glory!" to which Naiar replies, "Shut up! Boots, GO!"

Gamin's words echo as Guidance on Naiar as he follows Boots' path and points his staff at the caster, firing off two magical snakes, one white and the other black, both entwined and homing straight towards him.

Naiar and the group arrive and see Valsog through the doors. "Just one more stop." He turns to Aurora and gives a little bow, the stone-skinned statue-like human letting her do her thing as he becomes distracted by one of the invisible spirits of Lore. "That's the blacksmith you've been looking for! Praise the knowledge of Nethys." it whispers as he nods in agreement, looking down at Gamin.

Naiar may be pretty on the outside but for some reason his Oracle Curse causes him to be pretty bad when it comes to diplomacy, so he stays out of conversations. (Wasting Curse)

He'll nudge Aurora and motion for her to maybe try and talk to the people who own the establishment. "Maybe they'll be quiet if we tell them that we're starting a revolution so we can start a riot at a better time instead of now..." he whispers to her.

Naiar tries to bring a reasonable debate to Dizzy, "The guards know of our presence and will likely report about it. If Tygora is preparing to come after us this very night then he will probably pursue us outside of the city as well. I understand your worry and it's valid, but I vote we face our fate head on. We can expect visitors and sleep lightly, if they come after us then it only gives us more reason to take down this tyrant." he says as he pets Boots. Gamin speaks up with a little more input, "It might also be easier to watch a door than the surrounding darkness of the forest."

lol that was a fun read, I like the part where he yells for someone to stabilize the guy he just chopped down, then proceeded to say that his plan was to get them to negative HP, stabilize them, and then bribe them to ignore them from now on? It's honestly players like that who really make me not want to play Pathfinder Society sometimes. :P

Naiar smiles at the tengu, "I'm glad to see you're no longer traveling with him, haha. My sword and I are the peaceful type." before Gamin interrupts, "The scholar would dare not raise me in combat. Never has, never will." to which Naiar grins and nods in agreement. "Gamin is a friend and one who provides guidance." Literally, he can cast Guidance at will, haha.

Question, actually, Mister Kludde. So Gamin has the Allying property and I just tried to do a quick google search for the answer but couldn't really find a definitive one. Do I have to wield Gamin in order to give the +1 bonus he has to another character or can I merely have him "sheathed" and give away the enhancement bonus?

Naiar nods and bows to the guards before heading into the town towards the tavern that they suggested. As they're walking he explains to the rest of the group that the so called "curfew" is every evening at sundown.

Naiar turns back to the group, "They said they haven't seen a group of three people come through here. They suggest we find lodgings as quick as we can and respect some sort of curfew. I'm asking them where the best lodgings are, what time the curfew is, and also why this city is magically hidden. I'm not sure they'll share much but it seems at least we are allowed in the city." He pets Boots as he turns back to the guards and waits for their reply while ushering the others to start heading in.

Naiar smiles and tries to answer them when they speak Ignan, but is interrupted as they change languages to accomodate us. After they finish in common, he responds in Ignan:

Guh, sorry I get so behind sometimes, days are just melting together and I forget when I last checked, haha.

Naiar consults with the Spirits of Lore about any local events that have been going on, slipping into another trance...

...and shares any information he receives, along with his earlier information about the geography which is basically two large peaks (inactive volcanoes) and lots of beasts and draconic monsters.

Not going to bother with perception, but happy to see another worshipper of Gozreh. My main is a pretty devout follower and I am a follower IRL. Got a Gozreh themed tattoo on my inner forearm and I plan to get the matching one sometime soon!

Yeah Naiar was my first attempt at a skill monkey focusing in knowledge checks without being a bard and he turned out to be one of my best characters, haha. That Focused Trance from the Lore Oracle mystery is just ridiculous in situations like this where we aren't in combat. The new Ioun Stones I just purchased before this adventure are all Mossy Disk, basically going to get one of each knowledge check.

Boots the Owlbear catches Dizzy's scent and backs away a little, Naiar following him as he can feel a little bit of the musk reaching him also. He turns to Dalligar, "Ah yes, we were sent here also by the Dark Archives for some Pathfinder business. I see you noticed my scarab, this signifies me as a living monolith, more specifically a living monolith of Nethys, a house to store his knowledge in. This is Boots, my owlbear companion that I received for helping a small goblin tribe, and Gamin, my talking sword. If you notice me babbling off into the winds, it's only the spirits of Lore that I speak to." Naiar nods to the other two members, "Pleasure to meet you both."

Naiar, a tall slender human with gray skin that made him look like a moving statue walked next to his companion, a medium-sized adult owlbear by the name of Boots. He has a sword hanging from his belt with a large crack down the middle of it, a small strap around his belt hooked under the hilt to hold it up with the cracked blade in plain view. He wears a light breastplate over his thin frame and carries a tall quarterstaff carved to look like a black and a white serpent entwined together.

Naiar turns his head to look over at Boots as they walk to where the Society told him to meet up for his mission, "They said it was somewhere around here." he groans as he slowly walks along. Boots gives out a loud growl in response and Naiar retorts, "Oh shut up.", before he's interrupted by a voice coming from his sword, "I believe our destiny awaits in another direction, young scholar." Naiar stops in his tracks and looks down at the sword, "I'm not going to hear it from you too!" he shouts before becoming distracted by an unseen entity, capturing his attention as he looked up into the air to the right of him and waited a moment before angrily shaking his head, "I don't NEED a lecture about the geography of Golarion!".

He closes his eyes and slips into a trance, shutting out all the sounds around him as he focuses on his whereabouts to make sure he's in the right place, using the vast maps in his head to figure out his location.

Bah, I don’t have all of Boots’ stats and stuff with me at work. Sorry I didn’t get around to posting yesterday, I’ll post when I get off work or maybe during lunch. Is Boots getting a +5 from various things? And Charm Person is an Enchantment effect, correct? So my Devotion would work against it? Just need to know for when I post.

I vaguely looked into stuff for Boots, but my Ride skill is awful so I didn't bother, but I think there are straps you can get for flying mounts and stuff so when you get knocked off you kind of hang there? Don't quote me on that, I feel like that's a thing though.

Boots didn't quite make it to the Alu-Demon before it started to fly (that was literally his FULL move, so if it's difficult terrain then he'll just stop a square before) so Naiar whistles for him to go attack one of the ground targets instead.

Handle Boots: Trick - Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26

Somehow I felt I knew I was going to waste a nat 20 on him, haha.

Boots runs over to close the gap between him and the succubus, ready to attack next turn.

Naiar's barbarian training proves useful as he takes a 40 ft move through the terrain and comes up behind Boots, formulating some random bits of knowledge together to inject into the succubus' mind.

Correct me if I'm wrong Kraang, but I believe you can still use a Wand of Shield on another person, but the duration is still a minute so yeah, you'd either be wasting charges or burning through them really fast.

Naiar runs up into the garden area and recognizes the alu-demon which resembles the others they fought, and fires off two magic missiles from his staff at it.

Naiar feels a little faster from the spell but has no use of it.

Would have been more beneficial to Haste Boots, hehe. It's all good! Next fight, if you Haste again. ;P

Naiar takes a small step forward, speaking to the Spirit of Lore in his mind as he gathered LOTS of random information and combines them into what he likes to call a "Mind Bomb" and hits the furthest Alu-Demon to the bottom right of the map. (Confusion Curse, DC 17 Will)

Confusion Curse (Ex): The shaman's command of lore can cause weaker minds to become mired in confusion. The shaman chooses a single intelligent target within 30 feet. That creature must succeed at a Will saving throw or become confused for a number of rounds equal to the shaman's Charisma modifier (minimum 1). Once affected by this hex, the creature cannot be the target of this hex again for 24 hours.

After unleashing the curse, Naiar whistles a Flank command to Boots, so he can try and help the others since these creatures have ridiculously high resistances.

Handle Boots: Trick - Flank: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24

Boots makes a double move, either intelligently skirting around the outer corner to avoid an attack of opportunity, or simply running straight up on it and running around it to get a good position.

If you feel my 2 INT Owlbear is too dumb to avoid an AOO, feel free to take one. AC 24.
