I just want to cancel the Companion subscription. Everything else can stay.

Thanks!

Hello! Is it possible to have my subscription skip over the beginner box? At this time, I would like to skip this product.

Would a cleric of Shelyn be considered proficient with a Glaive-guisarme, or is this truly a different weapon from the standard glaive?

Also, I noticed that the glaive does not have "brace" but the glaive-guisarme does. Is this a misprint or should the standard glaive also have "brace?"

Liberty's Edge

so we know its coming...just a question of when.

With that said, what are some monsters that folks would like to see in Bestiary 3?

Liberty's Edge

Paizo crew,

Any chance that Paizo would develop and publish a hardcover adventure/dungeon crawl?

I kicked off my LoF/Necropolis campaign, which I am calling "The Forgotten Gods" Campaign, this weekend with character creation. I am using the new PF RPG rules, and I had 9 folks show up to create characters with another 2 or so who will be at my next session. There is a lot of excitment with the new rules, and I was a bit surprised at the large turnout.

I had the players start off at 2nd level, as it feels that PF 19 is a little light on encounters, and the final encounter in that one is a bit rough. I will be starting them out at a small dungeon (which is getting bigger by the moment, but that is a different story) several miles from the Sultan's Claw, in which their camels are currently at. The background is that they are basically treasure hunters looking for an artifact called "Rod of Rahotep" which they believe is in this dungeon, which I am calling "The Goblin Cave."

Next session is in 2 weeks, and then the fun really starts!

We need to get a section started for AP5 CoT, as August is rapidly approaching.

The adventure is not even out yet, and I am already kicking around a number of ideas. One of the ideas as a follow on adventure is linking this to Necropolis, by Necromancer Games. Basically the AP should finish around 15 level, which is in the ball part for Necropolis.

This would mean mixing Arabian flavor with Egyptian flavor. Necropolis is a wealth of good stuff, that it seems like I should be able to pull some of it out for LoF.

Update from earlier: Necromancer Games

February 29, 2009: Big things are on the horizon for Necromancer Games!

First, With the upcoming release of the final version of the Pathfinder rules from long-time partner Paizo Publishing, look for Necromancer to begin supporting that system. "Erik and Lisa and everyone at Paizo are the absolute best. With Pathfinder, they have perfected the branch of D&D that started with 3E and grew to 3.5. Its an amazing system," says Clark Peterson, president of Necromancer Games. "We are in discussions now with our friends at Paizo on how best to support Pathfinder," Peterson says.

Second, Peterson finally reveals plans to bring First Edition Feel to 4E: "In addition to our support for Pathfinder, we believe in supporting the most current official version of D&D--and that is 4E. We plan to create a community-sponsored, grass-roots development of some old-school rules alternatives for 4E, not to replace 4E but to supplement it. To let old school gamers like me play the game we want but with the modern rules and the modern tech," Peterson says. "Keep an eye on our site and boards in the coming months as we start this process. A design team is in place. But we intend to enlist the help of all of you--the real old school players--to help design the rules that you think are lacking, much like Paizo used an open playtest to develop the Pathfinder rules."

And in more news, look for a redsign of the Necromancer site coming soon, along with a hosting switch over. "If you notice a glitch with the site in the next week or month, don't be alarmed. The sacrifices and rituals are going according to plan, but demon princes are so finicky, Peterson says.

Now that the first three AP's have been fully released, I was wondering which one is the fan favorite?

The purpose of this thread is to give the fans a place to banter a bit on their favorite AP so far, and to provide the Paizo team some feedback on what resonated well with fans.

In particular:

1. How would you rank the 3 AP's?
2. What are your top 4 books?

Let me start off the discussion:

My ranking:

1. CotCT
2. RotRL
3. 2nd Darkness

Top four modules:

1. PF #2 The Skinsaw Murders
2. PF #11 Skeletons of Scarwall
3. PF #12 Crown of Fangs
4. PF #1 Burnt Offerings

Liberty's Edge

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Will the Pathfinder RPG has a recommended reading list included, similar to what was in the 1st ed books?

Liberty's Edge

I know this may have been said before, but I think it is worth stating again.

My wish list includes:

1) Large vinyl map
2) PF RPG DM screen

Lots of good announcements today!

I could not resist taking the first post on AP4!

Liberty's Edge

I will be moving to Shanghai for a year. Any gamers in that part of the world?

Liberty's Edge

Will Paizo ever do a special edition 200 page pathfinder?

Liberty's Edge

When is this module expected to hit the warehouse?

Liberty's Edge

In another thread, there was talk about Pathfinder conversions for C&C. When can we expect to see that come out? I am thinking about kicking off a Pathfinder adventure using the C&C rules.

I know I saw a couple of folks mention the use of Tome of Horrors from Necromancer. But, I thought I would start a thread just to give the idea a bit of a push. Necro has published 3 Tome of Horrors, and all three have some great little beasties that are waiting to be used. Since these are open for all to use, it would be great to see them work their way into a Pathfinder or into a Gamemastery module. I am ok with seeing them reprinted in a Pathfinder Book, especially if they were featured in that issue. for all the work that went into them, I feel like they have not seen a lot of use in published modules outside of Necro's own adventures.
