A man follows behind Romane, pushing the crowd that forms in her wake aside. He is broad shouldered, and carries himself with a boastful stride. He is rather handsome, with tailored clothing lending to his appearance. He looks hardly over twenty.
He glances at Beatrice, giving her a smile before turning to Marcus. He waits for Romane to finish speaking before offering his hand Marcus. “Gerard Viuexpont.”
After the exchange, Gerard stares at Marcus befuddled. “Tamarin. Marcus Tamarin. Wait, wait!” The man’s excitement builds. “You were one of her "Closet Crew" on New Year’s weren’t you? You were! Thought Ro was making up stories. How much I have to get you drinking to tell that tale, huh?” He smiles, and slaps Marcus on the back as if they were old friends.
Beatrice appears quite confused by both Vieuxpont children, not understanding either of their relations to Marcus, or the context for Gerard’s questions. She hangs on Marcus, smiling idly.
