Mundreil falls down the steps on his way to catch up the party. He crashes into the floor and breaks his neck....

I'm outta this game, sorry but I don't see it progressing and being enjoyable.

The Exchange

Mundriel finding himself the only one left on the ramparts, decides he'd better get with the rest of the party, he leaves the ramparts and heads down.

More bump

The Exchange

Not around much this weekend, family commitments...back to normal Monday.

Blackfingers, surprised to see his arrow stick into a goblin, sees him stay up, tries another shot at the same goblin.

ok start of round 2

What happened to my ranged attack in round 1?, BD didn't include my action in his list. Confused me with the good Brother Widfen. Apologies for missing posting later, was too tired after the RPG tabletop game..Tuesday night is my night for the RL gaming group. Also is Blackfingers the only one left on the ramparts?

So who's on the ramparts and who is with Grent going down and out to take the battle to the goblins? It looks like Grent, Markus, Widfen, Dumpling and Bane are heading for a bit of a melee, whilst Blackfingers, Jonin are atop the ramparts. Not sure where Staehan or any others are?

With Jonin's casting, Blackfingers considers the battle started, he lets an arrow fly at one of the golden glittering goblins. He tries to pick one with the least cover. With a deep breath he stands by the ramparts, steadies himself and lets fly a arrow from his longbow.

Ranged Longbow 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
Damage 1d8 ⇒ 3

Mundriel, his fingers itchy with bow and arrow cocked and ready, waits for someone to tell him what to do. He is very excited, this is all so new to him. He has read the history books, describing the great heros and battles of yore, now this is his time to make history. He wanders along the rampart to whoever is next to him, and starts a conversation, "Look I can see lots of those creatures over there. When do we get to shoot at them, I'm sure I can hit one from here. What do you think?

He continues his monologue, repeatedly asking when he should do something and which one should he go for.

Blackfingers follows Grent's command and positions himself on the wall, but seeing no enemy close, takes his bow and knocks and arrow. He takes the opportunity to look out to see what Strehan has obviously seen, he squints his eyes as he does so.

Perception 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (16) + 12 = 28
Initiative 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12

Blackfingers looks at Staehan amazed, "Really, already.... oooh, that's exciting, how do you know?" As he says this he takes his writing implement and starts to write in his book.

No worries. I was thinking 'Wow. He must be FASCINATING for me to blow a 26 Perception roll.' LOL

Blackfingers continues his dialogue, or was that monologue with Straehan, Blackfingers is blissfully unaware of the deep growled warning.

Rework of previous post, to clarify. Sorry, punctuation was a bit off, it was meant to mean Blackfingers is blissfully unaware of the goblin as he is taken up with talking at Straehan.

A beaming smile cannot be wiped off Blackfingers face, he even seems to be standing a few inches higher than he was before. He turns back to the next person, Straehan, following the big man. "Did you hear that, he wants me to use concoctions and he says its a good idea. Would you wonder at that, those stuffy military types back in Bellis never let me try them out. I bet you're excited by this whole thing." As he talks non-stop about the excitement he feels about using his alchemist skills to create these concoctions, but never giving the whole story about how these recipes are put together. As he continues with this, he takes out a notebook and starts to read and write notes, making strange annotations, they look like magical writings but not in draconic or any other magical alphabet that anyone might recognise. He keeps talking and endless stream of fast words until they are on the south wall. At some point he will introduce himself as he has before, and asks for his companion's name. He will of course try to sell potions at reasonable prices.

He is walking and talking with Straehan to the south wall.

It looks like the big man marching off to the south wall is in charge, Blackfingers hurries after him. He busily walks, without quite breaking into a run. By the time he is alongside he is a little breathless."Excuse me sir, you seem to know what you're doing? Let me introduce myself, Mundriel Blackfingers, alchemist extraordinaire, purveyor of fine potions and alchemical products. Can I interest you in any potions, I have many to sell at very good prices. If you wouldn't mind, would you allow me to try some of my experimental alchemical concoctions against any foes we face? I have to prove them in a real live action to determine their usefulness. You are in agreement?"

The elf, confused by this getting in line of well armored men, walks in circle for several seconds, before deciding what to do. He walks to the end of the line, in a most un-soldier like way and gets out his sickle, the blade shows evidence of it being used in anger to cut flowers and other flora. However, finding no real reason to keep the blade out any longer than required, he sheathes it and places it on his belt again.

He gets out a notebook, and starts to mumble to himself. Turning to the 'soldier' next to him he says, "You want any potions I'm your elf, Blackfingers the name, herbs, potions and alchemy's the game. I'll sell you good potions no hidden costs, what d'ya say?" You see on his back a haversack, with necks of vials protruding from a side pocket. A longbow and quivers of arrows are slung over one shoulder. Unlike the sickle, the bow looks well looked after, or its not been used very often.

Probably talking to Markus

Bane:
Chaotic Good

The Exchange

Male Gunslinger/1

An elf, ill at home here wanders around absent mindedly, occasionally getting out a notebook, looking at his notes and continuing on. He wears leather armor, which is blackened and seemingly a little damaged, there is an faint burnt odor. There is no evidence that the armor has ever been used in earnest, none of the damage looks to have come from any piercing or slashing weapon.

He accidentally walks into the man, who earlier had introduced himself as Bane. "Oh, excuse me I am most terribly sorry, I was lost in these notes you see. If I could mix some ground leg bone of a gnoll, with the dried leaves of the water poppy, the waters of Lake Farain, I'm sure under the right conditions, it could prove to be a very useful potion. You do think that's possible don't you?" In answer to the puzzled look, he continues, "Oh yes, how remiss of me, let me introduce myself, Mundriel Blackfingers, alchemist, inventor and shopkeeper. One half of Blackfingers Healing Emporium, purveyors of fine potions and alternative medicinal remedies." The elf bows, expecting the those around to be duly impressed. "The Andoran Military, asked me to join this military operation, to prove the usefulness of my potions and other extraordinary inventions. I hope we can all work on this together and I can generate even more trade for my brother and I's business."

Elven Alchemist enters

The Exchange

Yep, good to go, but if you want to make the background fit more into your game, re: where there is an elven society let me know, but the stats and stuff are there.

The Exchange

Think I'm done, just some background words to finish off....

The Exchange

HP 5d8 ⇒ (6, 3, 6, 3, 8) = 26

The Exchange

Running a bit behind on equipping the guy, tomorrow I'm getting drunk with the guys from work, cos its been a living hell the last 2 weeks, and we might be nearly over this pile of hell...

However, I know his weapons and feats, traits etc...so pretty close...
Going to sleep now, I'm cream crackered...

The Exchange

Not sure what starting gold we would have and if I can buy potions I can make at half price? Other than that the guys almost ready, obviously after you've had a look.

And any extra spells from previous excursions, or just the min no of spells in the book? And can I buy poisons cheaper as I can make poisons too, I are say at half street price, can't remember what it says in the book.

The Exchange

The start of my alchemist, same sort of backstory as previously, but changed the race to Elf, will change the early part story of his life to an elven settlement, but will keep the same flavour of development. Will up his development to 6th level now. More of a 'Boom' than a 'Stinky'.
