![]() there are a few ways he could have cast it within the rules, i just wanted to point out that anyone with a passing knowledge of the spell in game would know that it was very unlikely. Reaching out his hand to his rum bottle Morvius surveys his fellow players for signs of a fight breaking out, better risk it to save a brawl on the first lie. Reaching to fill everyones glasses "Here, everyone have a drink and calm down, we're playing a game based on lying to each other. If we're going to get offended everytime someone cheats we will never finish. ![]()
![]() Flipping his cup Morvius reveals a two, two fours and two sixes. "Thats some brass balls, but you'll need another three even to have your cheating pay off." just to drop this ooc to help the halfling clear his name, i don't have spellcraft or knowledge arcana but most people who do would know for silent image you need a bit of fleece and the halfling has been holding his cup not his spell component pouch. ![]()
![]() "The halfling has some balls alright, but he's going to lose his ante with outlandish lies like that!" laughs Morvius as he sprays rum across the table in surprise. we ante up at the begining of the game when everyone says their in, a silver or something, then when you lose a challenge(either by being caught lying or calling someone a liar who isn't lying) you lose a die and your ante then you have to ante up again. Once you have no dice your out and the last one in wins the pot so the winner of this game could win 25 <insert coin type here> depending on what we're playing for, probably copper or silver though, i doubt anyone around here can afford to lose 5 gold. ![]()
![]() "Seven sixes, a bold lie indeed. Lets see if the Halfling has the brass to call you on it,"Cries Morvius with a wide grin,"This game will not get back around to me, and i had but one six in my hand!" He looks over the table to Zaketta and throws a cheeky wink, "And i already told you Besmarans make their own luck." 6 players, 30 dice. 7 sixes should be about average including the wild ones but going up to 8 sixes is well above average. one way or another someone is getting called in the next two lies. ![]()
![]() Dice:
1d6 ⇒ 2
1d6 ⇒ 4 1d6 ⇒ 6 1d6 ⇒ 6 1d6 ⇒ 4 With the most gentle sip of rum he has taken all night Morvius looks under his cup, "Six Sixes." without preamble he glaces to the next competitor. before you call me a liar remember how many players there are (about 8 so thats 40 dice) and that ones are wild ![]()
![]() Turning to the young lad Karn, "I know something of the Pirate Queen, come over here so i can freshen your glass and teach you a turn." Holding up the remains of the bottle Morvius pours himself a glass, which he then deposits on the floor of the tavern before refilling his drink and speaking with a fevour in his eyes, "One for the Queen and one for me, thats how She likes it. Take heed that She favours not the loud and annoying cries of the faithful, a man gets what he deserves through cunning and skill so a minor gesture to the Goddess will get you naught but a minor look. If you are blessed you will find yourself aboard the Seawraith with Her as your Captain once you finally shuffle from this life of plunder. With luck she will take Morvius once his time is done." His outburst done he drinks down his rum then slumps to his chair, refilling his drink once more. ![]()
![]() Overhearing the conversation at the other table, "Besmara is a fickle mistress to be sure. I say she has her eye on all who ply the seas, but sometimes only to watch them sink." Standing with glass in hand, spilling a little as he wobbles upright. "A rougher bunch of scallywags and buccaneers i ain't never seen, but I'll drink to our good fortunes. Cheers." ![]()
![]() The door to the Formidably Maid opens slowly as a man in long sea sprayed leathers walks in. Taking a look around the room he spots the bawdy drinkers, stopping off at the bar to quietly pick up a bottle of rum he heads over. "Room for another lads? After that long at sea i need a seat to stop my swaying!" Pulling up a chair and gesturing around "These glasses won't be filling themselves..." |
