Male Human Rogue 2
Morganst looks at Hosz with a mixture of horror and disgust. "Uhh... Hosz, where did you find that severed hand? Most of us only have two?" "Oh... I know you're strong enough there. But we may need you to carry out gold and loot. Or, uhh pretty sticks and shrubs?" Morganst looked over at the others, completely unsure of what else the druid. He pats him on the back. "Which way are we going?" 1d20+11=20 to pick his pocket and remove the spider egg sac. He will casually toss it behind him to be squashed.

"Secret doors sound good to me." Morganst looks around at the others, then follows Faldor. Suddenly he stops and looks back. "Maybe we should hide those bars first. It's not a good idea to wait until Hosz's back gives out on him first." I'm not sure where you guys have been before... I'll follow your lead I guess.

initiative1d20+3=18+1= 19 Morganst had drawn his bow when the door was pulled open. Unlocked of course with his usual panache, if not quickness. Before he could congratulate himself (nobody else seemed to want to) the spider dropped down on Abe. Taking quick aim, he fires an arrow at the spider. attack (1d20+3=21)

Morganst steps forward and cracks his knuckles. "Well, I can see what I can do." With a flick of his wrist he pulls out several small tools. Disable Device1d20+8=19

Morganst sits back watching the others stash excess gear. The good thing about being one step above dirt poor is, he had no excess gear. "If you need someone to go ahead and look around, I happen to be pretty good at not being noticed. If not, tell me where you want me to hide and I'll get my bow ready."

Morganst smiled over at Faldor. "I find that if you roll everything into a tight little bundle, it's both functional and not as bulky." Morganst took another bowl of the mushroom wine and sipped. Turning back to the Lizard Folk he took a deep, long bow. "And many thanks to you, kind folk. May your gift be the difference in our succeeding."
Male Human Rogue 2
"Oh... Interesting." Morganst looks over the bow and the fox armor. After several moments of hard thought he picks up the armor and tries it on. "This seems to be a nice fit. Not sure about the helm though..." He tests the fit for a moment to work out some of the snugness of new leather. "What do you know... Fox skin is actually quite slimming." Thanks!
Male Human Rogue 2
Morganst sips quickly. Actually it was a bit earthy but not too bad. A quick tilt of his head and he swallowed the mushroom wine down. 'It's not elf-wine, but it'll do in a pinch." He was still uneasy around the lizard folks. But the others seemed fine so he tries to stay relaxed. Morganst glances over to Keegan with a shocked look. "Wait... You don't drink?"

Morganst settles in by the fire. While eating, he checks through his equipment to make sure everything is in good shape and it's proper place.
"Nailed to the tree? What would do something like that?" Morganst will take 2nd or third watch. He's not picky.
Male Human Rogue 2
"Ok! OK! I'll do it again Hosz. It'll have to be a copper though... I don;t have all THAT much silver laying about." Morganst continues to walk along beside the cart flipping the copper piece along his fingers and making it disappear and reappear. Several times he reaches out to "magically" pull it from Hosz's ear and hair. slieght of hand- 1d20+11=20

Morganst sits lazily against a tree in front of the house. Several small children play around him as he lounged. Out of habit he starts to roll a silver coin along his knuckles. After several giggles, he flips his hands palm up to show the coin had disappeared. With a wave, it was back, then almost as quick it was gone again. Reaching out to a mousy haired boy he winked. Making an overly grand gesture Morganst pulls the coin from small child's ear. "Best get that to Jeva, eh?" He was ready to go. Children and houses in the woods require far more work than he was comfortable with. Slieght of hand- 1d20+11=23

"He said unpleasant, not down right disturbing." Morganst felt the shiver run down his spine. Ewww this is gross. It was horrible that this was a little girl, but... UGH! "Don;t know about you all, but I could use a nice drink after all this." he stepped aside to help hold the wolfling down.
Male Human Rogue 2
Oh... I didn't remember seeing his name and don't think Morganst was there in any event. "Wait... THAT Cleff? Oh... Errr..." Morganst's face reddened. He turned to the others, "Maybe we do have it with us then?" He immediately starts rummaging through the contents of the cart to see if he can find it.
Male Human Rogue 2
Morganst rubs his chin thinking back to the trip out. Did we pass someone? "What town did Clef go to? How long ago did he leave?" Glancing back down to the poor werepuppy. "I think she's down and tied. Open the door so we can bring her in." He smiled wide and waved toward the orphanage.
Male Human Rogue 2
Morganst stood by holding his useless bow. "Boy am I unprepared here..." He moved to flank the werewolfling, the pointless bow still armed and waiting. Well, it was better than nothing. And just as effective. Turning to the Orphanage he yelled back, "Where do you want her once she's restrained?"

Sorry I've been slacking. My internet connection has been flakey from home and I've been swamped (3 month old kid). I'll be better, promise! Morganst stands on the back of the cart stretching his legs. His bow and gear on the cart next to him. "Yes, no kids. It seems too quiet for anyone to be around."
Male Human Rogue 2
"So then... A yes and a yes. And please, do try to hold back your out pouring of love and affection. I'm startin' to get a bit weepy over here." Morganst kept a look out around the area. It just would not do for a guard or loud mouth to wander past them fooling about with the well. Especially if it's known to authorities that it's been poisoned. "If you says so Abe. Not so sure myself about them. But if you trust them, I'll give them a passing shot then." He turned back to Jaden and returned the man's smile. "Would you prefer me keeping an eye out for passersby, or down the well myself? I'm of more use in the background. Suits my skills more, eh." OOC: is there a site you use for dice rolls?

Morganst stopped pulling out a wrench from a back pouch. "Oh... I guess we won't be needing... Er, never mind that then." He slipped it back into a pouch. He sipped his mug, nervously looking around the room. "So then." He gave a nervous cough, "You sure you want to be lowered down there to wait?"
Male Human Rogue 2
"Now your talking. I can help keep an eye on the well if you'd like. I know a few hiding spots around there I could watch from." Morganst drained his second mug and put it on the table. "I may even know someone who knows someone, who could talk to a guy about leaving some of those missing tools around there." He gave a wide grin and a wink. "I know some people. They get things done. May add a bit of truth to things."
Male Human Rogue 2
Morganst gave a quick laugh and pulled again from his mug, draining it without effort. He gave a wink and waved for another mug of ale. "Noodling my crust? And what's wrong with my clothes? Anyways, Abe can vouch for me. I'm good people, I am." He took his drink and gave the lass some coin. He took a deep drink. Morganst looked over at Abe and then to Faldor. It seemed like Abe trusted them. And he was a paladin. And let's face it, if you can't trust a paladin, who can you trust? The drunken drawl was dropped and Morganst looked over to them and shrugged. Morganst kept his voice down, not wanting the whole inn to know what they spoke of. And especially how he spoke of it. There was his reputation to uphold. "Abe says you're good then I trust him. We found some tracks by the well. Looks like some type of lizard folk, two legged. They seemed to lead out of town. I'm not a woodsman, so I couldn't follow them that well. "Well.. That and I had a few pints in me."

"And what would such a nice group of sirrahs such as yourselves be wantin' with the well, eh?" Morganst wasn't sure what they were about, but he'd seen them around the town some. With everything going on with the sickness and the wells lately, it's best to be safe. He walked forward, sloshing his mug of ale a bit as he did. Exaggerated a bit, for sure, but it's best to be underestimated. He trusted the paladin becuase, well... He was a paladin. You could trust them. These folk he didn't know. Morganst wore plain brown leathers, durable, practical and very nondescript. He took a long pull from his mug again and ran his fingers through his dark hair. "Makes a man curious. Especially after a few good pints."

I have a good deal of the character up now. Please let me know if it's OK. I'll have the background and description up in a bit. Morganst will definitely have been in the tavern as well. And he'd definitely have an interest in art and beauty. Even if he can't walk away with it. ;) |
