Mindos has gotten to where he is through a combination of luck and skill. It started when he was in the right place at the right time to bump into, and trip up a fugitive, earning himself a friend in the police. Since then, he has used his contacts to gain a lucrative position as a private detective frequently hired out by the wealthy noble families. Then, a literal miracle happened to him. When he was part of a raid gone horribly wrong, a chunk of sharp metal flew towards his neck. Just before it hit him, it vanished without a trace. Since then, he wondered about what happened then, and why it happened to him. Eventually, he came up with the idea that a god had personally intervened in his life. Desperate after many fruitless hours looking for answers and large sums of money spent on priests who turned out to be charlatans, he heard about a paladin of the Old Lord working near the Capital. He hired himself out to the Ainsworths to get closer to this paladin, and hopefully find out more about what happened to him.
