It is clearly stated that melee energy weapons come with a battery, but what about ranged weapons?
It is also clear that projectile weapons come without ammunition "Most projectile weapons use rounds, while most injection weapons use darts. Ammunition is purchased separately from a weapon, at a cost of 10 projectiles per credit."
The question is, do ranged energy weapons come with a battery?
I did check the equipment costs of the 1st level pre-gens. CHK CHK is the only one with a ranged energy weapon and the totals suggests that their commercial arc pistol came with a battery but that could just be an error in the character creation.
