Mick von Jaeger is a younger son of a minor noble family in the Taldan colonial community of Amanandar in Tian Xia. Mick was something of a wild child, preferring time with his exotic pets and rowdy pals to boring social events with his pampered peers, and hunting in the wilderness to debutante balls in the city. He’s a scrapper and no-holds-barred brawler, better suited to local fight clubs than to organized sports like boxing. His family thought a stint in the militia would instill a little discipline in their boy. It did not.

Mick and his fellow Pathfinders convinced Princess Eutropia of Taldor to correct the historical record and restore the good name of Taldan General Honaria Alcasti, but that unlike Remaio Alcasti's valiant ancestor, Remaio is unfit to carry on the Alcasti name. As a reward, Princess Eutropia granted Mick a visbarony near Old Serif in Taldor, about midway between Oppara and Cassomir. She also presented Mick a gift of a nobleman’s outfit, a signet ring with a cat’s paw, and complementary jewelry worth 100gp.
