Mia Vanderholt is a woman in her mid 20's with bright red hair, a warm smile and a bad limp in her left leg. She dresses in cleric vestments of pale green and walks with her staff to help her along.
Mia was injured by Nisany Blim, a gnome alchemist, when she was run over by a cart she was driving. As she lived in small town in Andor there was no high ranking cleric or even a proper church aside from a few shrines, and the cleric who tried to heal could do nothing to fix her leg properly. Though he tried many cure spells and channeled positive energy into her she was stuck with her limp. Unable to be properly cared for she was raised by the cleric and his church as they tried different things to heal her and she in turn learned the healing arts and how to be a proper cleric.

Not a true cleric but an Oracle, her power isn't drawn from Sarenrae or any other god, but pulled directly from the positive energy plane in a link that was forged from her failed healing. She has a pet rabbit that she keeps with her (A familiar, though her bond with it is weak but will eventually be a divine emissary to her once she takes improved familiar bond and improved familiar.)

Since her healing at the hands of clerics of Sarenrae failed to heal her leg, she's begun researching other gods and forms of healing, looking for ways to fix her limp. Since the accident she's become friends with the gnome alchemist who ran her over and is very curious as to the alchemy that she practices. But while they wait to see if that will lead to any positive results she's looked to other faiths, such as Pharasma or Dalenydra, hoping to find if their ways are different enough to aid her.

Because of her injury she's lived a relatively sheltered life of the cleric and has spent a great amount of time reading. This reading has led her to a very romanticized view of the world, loving especially the tales of the redeemed heroes. She is very willing to give second chances and will often spare those she fights, not usually willing to kill outside of the last defense of her life or someone who's done something truly heinous.
