About Marshal Lucien Bron Yorke
Background:
Lucien was born on the forest world of Markellus IV, whose peoples are organized into various fiefdoms ruled by barons and knights. It is a world rich in natural resources such as lumber, minerals, food and men. Born to the noble house of Yorke, Lucien was chosen from amongst his brothers to be tithed to the Imperial Guard as part of the 202nd Markellus Chevaliers.
His initial training opened him up to the technologies most used by the Imperial guard, including the lasgun and laspistol, as well as the methods used by Imperial regiments as standardized by the Munitorium. Despite that, the regiment utilized a lot of tried and true technologies such as the sword, the shield, and the horse. Full plate as opposed to flak armor was common, though layers of flak fabric as padding instead of leather was the norm for such. Formation fighting and mobile deployment was emphasized, but not to the extent of over-specialization.
Lucien fought on the front lines of several conflicts over 19 years, against depraved cultists, brutish orks, and traitorous heretics. He gained much glory and honor in those years, and eventually Yorke rose to the rank of Colonel in the Guard, entitling him entrance to the ranks of the Grand Knighthood, the brotherhood of officers that kept in contact with one another to compare notes, share stories of victory, and debate new tactics with one another.
Unfortunately, the old adage about the cursed Demon Lord Murphy proved all too true, and Lucien's luck turned ill. Within the next three years, more than two thirds of the regiment was destroyed in engagements against both Ork and Eldar forces, and little chance of supply from the munitorium, the Chevaliers were left to their own devices as they fought against a Dark Eldar raiding fleet, hoping to grab some of the human forces as slaves while an Ork Waaagh thought it would be dandy fun to try and wipe out the guardsmen. Though eventually the Chevaliers were reinforced by Imperial forces, they were so decimated that there was no hope of bringing the unit back up to full strength. As a result, the Munitorium decided in their wisdom to amalgamate the remaining squads from the Chevaliers and other regiments into a new unit.
It consisted of both the surviving Markellus Chevaliers, a group of Sidan Beast Warriors riding their famed fanged Rhinocerox, the 114th Mordian's supply and support platoons, and a full lance of 127th Iron Serpents' Sentinel walkers.
Together, this new unit was all under Lucien's command, which he would name the First Fulbrecht Chevaliers. He would serve with this regiment for another decade before his next promotion...

Flaws:
Despite his ability to work with anyone, General Yorke can be quite judgemental. This has resulted in more than one incident of foot-in-mouth disease that appears chronic. He has a set of moral standards that he views are the minimum requirement for being a true servant of the Emperor, and those who don't at least try to measure up can find themselves staring down a firing squad. He means well though, and is willing to swallow his pride when proven wrong, or at least with sufficient evidence of doubt.
