Not saying I did it right, but this was how I ran it.
Shaken is a troop condition in Bestiary 3. I reasoned that Brianna was the leader of the troop of bad guys and that her shaken condition was subject to the DC 11 flat check in the troop rules.
I targeted a square AC 5 that was closest to the most PCs, or I picked a PC if they were grouped close together and used their AC making them all PCs within the 5 foot burst roll the reflex save.
The influence successes levels are listed in the scenario, and it tells you how to ramp them up based on the number and levels of PCs at the table on page 5 of the scenario.
Hope this helped.

I personally never stopped gaming in public, even during the height of Covid. I did play some online games when Big Cons went virtual, but I played in person when, where and as often as I could. I and several local gamers got together and held what we called FriendCons in AirBnBs so we could continue to game in person even when other "public" Cons closed their doors. I worked every day all during Covid, got the shot, got Covid anyway. I partook of Virtual PaizoCon Online the first time, and GaryCon online, and a certain few others. I quickly found I detest online play! It really adds another layer of unwanted complexity, preparation and separation to my gaming experience. I have and never will GM online games for those reasons. I never really care to play online again. I am greatly disappointed that PaizoCon will only be virtual going forward as I have forgone GenCon the last 2 years(due to Covid restrictions)and have been saving that money to go to PaizoCon. Oh well such is life. Hopefully the influx of capital from all the former WOTC players, weaker and weaker Covid strains, will enable Paizo to hold an in person PaizoCon in the future.

These were the first adventures that brought me back to tabletop gaming after a long hiatus. They were also the adventures that I ran for my blended family of five children aged 13 to 7 that help bring us together as a family and foster a love of tabletop gaming that endures to this day!
Thank You Paizo!

If you scroll all the way to the bottom of the page you will see in the middle column a link called Retailer Portal. Here you can sign up and find links to sign up for the newsletter, find and contact your Regional Venture Coordinator as well as a link to Paizo organized play directly. You can also register your store with Paizo and the Organized play community.
Best of luck and good gaming!

Just have to say I am SUPER excited to read this! This group of adventures were the ones that I ran for my children as their introduction to TTRPGs and Paizo adventures! They loved the storyline and we had hours of fun together around the table. I cannot wait for the Special edition to come out. Maybe I can get them all around the table for nostalgia's sake!
Thank you James and thank you Paizo for doing this!
Logan,
Thank you for the timely response! I never had anything happen like this before and thought it was very odd. I don't know how long I would have went not knowing they were missing if I wasn't getting ready to run a couple of them.
Thanks again for fixing this for me so quickly!
You're Awesome!

Hello Paizo People!
Just went to my account to download some pdfs to prep for an upcoming Convention when I saw that they were not in my list. They say I have purchased them and the date but no Pdf in my digital content.
The two orders in question are:
36776692
From January 24th for PFS Scenarios, 3-08 and 3-09
36805147
From February 22nd for PFS Scenarios, 3-10 and 3-11
They all say I purchased them on each ones product page, but I have no PDFs.
I wouldn't have know that they didn't actually post/populate/promulgate? what have you if I hadn't went to download them for an upcoming con.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

I would love to have a poster or screen saver of the Goblins with Fireworks! Or why not both?!
AceofMoxen wrote: Halloween has me in the mood to run something like this. Is this a good introduction to PF2? Is it easier than an AP? Complete introduction for new players? No. It starts them at 3rd level.
Easier than an AP? Could be, but it is still a lot to prep. I ran this 2 weekends ago for a group of 5 players. They were what I would call a mix of experience levels. Two were very experienced, two moderate and one with some experience. They played smart, didn't waste time and keep after the main goals.
It took me 27+ over a three day Con to run the module, they defeated the main "boss", but there was still more they could have done/accomplished. I had to summarize and shorten the ending due to time constraints. I suspect that there was at least another 4ish hours to play.
It is a VERY cool, spooky, haunted mansion style game that I highly recommend and would run again! Just know what your getting yourself and your party in for if you decide to challenge the Malevolence!

Hello!
Please cancel my following subscriptions.
Starfinder Rulebooks
Starfinder Maps
Pathfinder Lost Omens
Not canceling in protest or anything, just not playing as much Starfinder anymore and would like to be more choosy with my Lost Omens purchases.
Thank you for your kind attention in this matter!

I think this is horrible news, but hopefully Paizo will prove me wrong.
I go to A LOT of Cons. I GM a lot at Cons. I love PFS/SFS! I have ran modules at Cons. I have done/ran Quests in the past and enjoyed them.
What I haven't done is play or GM a single bounty! I just have never seen the point or the attraction. Getting more things I don't/haven't used/played in the place of things I do use/like is not a benefit or cause of excitement for me at all!
As far as one shots go I think they are fun and make great Twitch/Youtube fodder to watch/listen too, I'm just not too sure about running them at Cons as PFS/SFS content.
I will also echo the sentiment that I feel a little thrown by the wayside with the perceived focus on more lower level/introductory content at the expense of higher level scenarios! Also my pumping out more level 1 content and curtailing 1-4,3-6,5-8 level scenarios you end up with a "what do I play now problem" for a lot of your long time players.
I guess we will all just wait and see how this all turns out since Paizo has numbers and data to show this is what the majority of people want. Hopefully I am wrong and my fears unfounded. Best case scenario would be this spurs so much new player growth that they HAVE to go back to the old model just to keep people in content to play!
I never really stopped playing in person. Online is ok for what it is but will never replace in person gaming for me. I will not GM online as I don't want to learn another system/software program just to play other systems I already know. Glad this is all coming to an end and we can meet around actual tables again!

Congratulations to the new 5 Star and 5 Nova GMs!
BREAKING NEWS!!!
Phoenix Con in Neenah WI, August 13th,14th & 15th, will have Organized Play! Myself and four volunteers have submitted 15 tables, over 60 hours, of PFS1, PFS2, and Starfinder gaming goodness! We have applied for Convention Support so hopefully we will have those sweet, sweet, increased ACPs, as well as the usual chance for prizes!
Find and register for Phoenix Con on Tabletop.events and Facebook!
Hope to see you there!

Alex Speidel wrote: Hilary Moon Murphy wrote: So... About those bounties... They have Society content! Will this be a short exception, or can we expect to see more bounties with Society tie-ins now? And will they be for Level 1 only? These Society tie-in Bounties are a one-off (well, two-off), then we'll go back to the Society-agnostic products. They're also still perfect for non-Society play; the storyline assumes you are hired adventurers just like all the others, but in this case you're being hired by the Society.

Marc Waschle wrote: Any word as to when these will be available Drop date for subscribers and VOs will be August 25; they will go on sale on this date as well. GMs at PaizoCon Online Europe will get them earlier, but only to run them at that convention. If you're looking for new player content for your convention, I recommend PFS2 1-01: The Absalom Initiation or PFS2 2-11: The Pathfinder Trials, both of which fill the same roll that these intro scenarios will! That's what I figured.
Thanks Alex!
These sound AWESOME!
Any word as to when these will be available? I'm try to put OP games for PhoenixCon, a new Con is NeeNah Wisconsin, August 13,14 and 15. These would be perfect to run there because, new Con outreach and introduction!
Any chance of getting them early for subscribers?

SUPER DISAPPOINTED! This sucks so bad! I was already to attend and run more games than usual just to help out/take the place of people that would not be attending for various reasons. Can't even express how I hate this news! No reason to go to GENCON at all now and put up with whatever restrictions will still be in place if Paizo is not going to be in the Sagamore. Guess I should have seen this coming and not been as surprise as I was. Hopefully next year will be "safe".

What an awesome story! Very cinematic scene that illustrates that time and wisdom can often create luck all on their own.
It could be referring to swashbucklers with a fly, swim or burrow speed as well.

If I can volunteer to run games for Paizo again at GENCON then I will be running games for Paizo at GENCON! Hopefully both Specials again and as many slots as I can sanely run. I will be running games at Farmaggedon in April and planning on running games at GameholeCon in October. Ready to get back to normal the normal Con circuit again!

I know its not a vote, but I cannot tell you how disappointing it is to have completed a great scenario and seeing a mostly blank page. It was a shock to say the least, a VERY unpleasant shock. I have no problem with the ACP system now that it is up and working, but the loss of chronicle boons is a profound one at least for me!

Zachary Davis wrote: Killing of the chronicle boons IMO will hurt more than help. A lot of players enjoy getting boons the add flavor or options to their characters.
One of my favorite boons I received, added a third ear to my ratfolk in the middle of his forehead. It may not have added any mechanical benefit. It did add flavor to my character. The boon could be cured with a remove disease or curse, not sure which one, if you wanted to.
If chronicles are going to be something that just track adventures, gold and what not. Might as well just move to a single sheet that tracks multiple adventures.
I loved that one too! It allowed my Swashbuckler got to have six fingers on his right hand!
Just to clarify, if we earn an item on a chronicle does that satisfy the access requirement to purchase the item?
Or do we also need to also purchase the Avid Collector boon to meet the requirement?
Nefreet wrote: The PtP could be used to purchase a variety of Boons, including a Boon allowing you to start a brand new character at either Level 2 or Level 3.
I think a bunch of us were hoping you could do the same with AcP, but that is currently not an option. [/QUOTE
Ah, ok now I understand.
Thanks!
TwilightKnight wrote: Is there consideration to adding some of the PtP exclusive boons to the AcP, specially the experienced adventurer boon allowing start at level 2? I know that might have to be balanced against the Envoy’s Alliance boon that generates a similar effect, but some of us simply do not enjoy 1st level play and would like to use our play experience to buy 2nd level. Some can just GM and use those chronicles for the same effect, but not everyone does, or should GM, and would like the same opportunity. And since we already have multiple options to start at level 2, and there is already an existing boon, it’s not like there isn’t plenty of precedent so really no reason not to extend that boon to AcP Bahb,
I thought the PtP boons were for new 2nd edition characters and you could start a PC at 2nd or 3rd level? Did I miss an update, or am I not understanding what you are asking about?
Question as I am running this on Sunday.
In the final battle the BBEG has a specific magic weapon, this weapon has a critical effect. The critical effect is not listed in the stat block.
Do I add the critical effect that is in the CRB if the BBEG scores a critical, even though it isn't in the stat block?
Second a Search Function!!!
I hope so!
I struck out on the 7-8 and 3-6 had to settle for a 1-2 of 2-00 Special. Really wanted to play my 2001 but I guess I will have to play one of my alts. Or start a new one if the APG comes out soon enough!
This breaks my three year streak of GMing both PFS and SFS Specials at GENCON. I just don't feel comfortable with Roll20 and really don't want to give a subpar experience to my players. Hopefully next year we will be back in the Sag and it will be bigger than ever!
Well I have 2 stars on my Organized Play Summary page, and only one Nova. I have 30 tables for Starfinder so I should have two of each.
Hopefully, after the next, final, whichever roll out my stars, novas, glyphs and ACPs will be correct.

I can hardly wait till the end of the month! These classes represent three of my favorite characters to play. Alexandria Andrpov my witch, Ernesto Vencini Caparina swashbuckler extraordinar, and Thadeaus Grimm classically trained investigator!
Will they continue into second edition? Will a new breed of heroes step forth? I can't wait to find out!
