Being an half-human in Egorian means to be regarded as third class citizens, even below sub-races such as halflings and gnomes. Marak hates that!

He is a people person. He wants to be loved, he wants to be accepted, like all other are, only because they were born as full fledged humans.
Marak has learnt as a child to hide his ancestry, to lie through his teeth about everything. He wants to be the center of attention. Being only half human left him with an empty hole for the other half, he wants to fill that hole and so he tries, with people, things, pleasures.
Wealthy people are loved, powerful people are loved, worshiped, well known. So, rich and powerful Marak wants to be.

Devoted to life most fine pleasures Marak developed a plum build, very uncommon for elves, thing that helps him in his disguise and fills him with pride as it puts distance between him and his hated kin.
He always dresses up to the situation, fashioned but not opulent, with the right taste to be noticed but not mocked.
With people is always kind. Showing the most polite of behaviors. Pleasing as a lifestyle trains to read other people in order to anticipate their wish and needs. Marak is always delving into others people manners eager to understand what makes them tik and unveil their secrets.
Marak is making a living working as a barrister. He fooled an old man, not too smart anymore, into believing he is a nephew of his, again pushing his lies about being human. Marak lives in the old man house and attends to the him, helping him in his job. This helps him building connections in the city, day after day.
