About Malachi Tarchannen
Malachi was born into a strict household and trained well in martial arts. However, his father was NOT his father, but was a mentor of the Darknight methods, a fact Malachi did not learn until his early 20s.
He has traveled far and with several different adventuring groups, but always in search of his real father. Along the way, he encountered another Darknight, who began to instruct him in the finer aspects of The Way, passing to him an ancestral katana and lightweave bodysuit.
Recently, Malachi thought he had met his father in Aizhan, a Darknight of another order, who had begun using his power for personal gain. But Aizhan was only posing with the intent of ruining and killing Malachi. The two faced off in an epic Ancestral Battle, each calling on their lineage for additional power to defeat the other. At great personal cost, Malachi won, slaying Aizhan and all his ancestry forever.
He hopes some day to find his father. He believes this is his quest.
