From a game I am running "Sorry yes, its just that well, let me start of the beginning, you see in the planes there is this silly idea of alignment, kind of ideas of being. Some say good, some bad, some say law some say well you get the idea any how, we liked to think of out group as being True naturals, truth is most beings are most of the time, but wile sailing the dimensional ways it was a real asset to be, well on no ones side. We in fact became proud of the fact, Even old Tippy Toe was natural well he was after Ruby cleaned his soul with the hover thing of his. You see what upset us all was the fact that every plane we had been to there always seemed to be some place with extreme views, no matter how much they said they where True naturals, some where, darkness lay or light for that matter. So once we found the root plane, the prime plane, we wanted to make our new plane True natural, as pour natural as we could. But how? That's when Ruby had his brain wave and when it all went very wrong. He said the reason why now plane was truly natural, was the fact that some place some where on every plan some one felt left out, or hid there feelings and actions from others. He said if we made every living thing on our new plane so that every thing could talk always to every other thing, then no one could hide a and living thing would have a voice, no one thing would be left out a whole plan common unconscious. He said there was this thing call Psionics. That if we made every thing living in out Plan Psionic, then every living thing could talk to every other living thing and so always have the same views on every thing. That the extremeness would balance out and we would end up with a truly neutral world, Simple he said, how bloody wrong he was. You see we made the plane, and yes for a very short time it worked very well, every living thing did in deed talk to every other living thing and there was harmony and extremeness balanced out, a Truly natural world. But we forgot to think about what would happen when this new collective started to ask questions, like "when most of us are not plants, why do we allow animals to harm most of us and even eat us?"
Well seeing how plants out numbered animals 100s to 1, the vote was very one sided. So that was that, the plants moved to not kill the animals, just make them plants, and that in a nut shell is the Green war. The good an the bad news is. Mr Cup stands up and drops his robe, To your shock you see hes part plant, its grown over his body and seem to be part of him. "The bad news is we only just got out in time, and some of us not cleanly, but with the right drugs I can keep myself from being fully converted to plant. The good news is we "We Locked that plane as we left so can not course any trouble. So I have to ask, why are you here other than to give me apple pie? and how do you know about the green war?" Gives you some idea
Gone over to Demi-god Thread as thats a good move for this. Hay no nicky idea, (only Joking.) well after reading through all of the posts on my old 40+ game thread (man you guys went to town.) heres some feed back I hope that will help here. The horrid thing with alignment is that its part of the very game mechanic, I hate it to, deeds are what count. But saying this your PCs on at the Point of becoming gods. So you will have to pick alignments and also Domains to represent if you wish to be the root of any form of Faith. The game world GM as DM Jelani would have put in some real hours of time to build the God-Slaver world, its a place very inhospitable to gods to showing up and then trying to become one is all uphill. The God-Slaver revolt some 2000 years before, may have warped the world into nothing like the Pathfinder world. When gods themselves are seen as the enemy what could have arisen and who was behind the revolt. I think as some one who may run this I will have to put this on hold for a time, I just can not give it the time it needs, My research is starting up again and that will take most of my time sorry guys. Please feel free to nick any ideas I have put up on my thread, this is a open game place and as such we all share. I would add i think Levels 20 cap is a must
Yep spotted that, and I think again the game if it ever gets past the problems I have found, will keep the 20th cap on a level, I know some give you + so should give higher spells but OMG the work Ok Thanks all for showing your Interest the feed back has been great, and I found some things out. Im going to go away and have a really good think about a way to do this, that will let players play and still get past some of the problems I can see. Lots of reading for me. But all good fun. Just hit what I think is a brick wall, Immunity, A Pm has been sent me (Sorry player but this may be a game breaker) with an Idea for a PC that has Immunity to just about every thing, I will not post the PC as its a players but you get the Idea. Disease, poison, Death like magic, level drain (just about) Silly PR, and so on. Looking it over I can see how they did most of it but here is my problem, to make a challenge for the player I would have to ether, strip them of there PCs Immunity or just by pass it, I ran a few tests and it comes out as Nurf then killed. That is no fun for a player,

This is a hard one, with ramping its simple you just make the hit harder and hope a PC can take the hit, but with Immunity its On or Off.
Im going to have to have a long think about this, its a a hard one.
/artifacts going to have to say no /psionic yes with (Transparency rules) /Quarterstaff magus 20/Quarterstaff monk 20 - nuff said sounds good. /yep just looking at Interest and basic Ideas for now, /gestalt's going to have to say no to them. Please do not make a PC or work up a back ground, I have an idea some have started seen just how much time it takes and bowed out, Im looking at how to run this madness and its giving me the willy s, if I get this wrong at the start the Players will me mad they wasted time on a duff game. :( scary. Yep Same alignment of fine now, with this simpler idea for the setting Gold is 50mgp at the start, 50,000,000m spent on your own stuff or what you can carry be a 30' Portal in 1 round 8 seconds as a whole party, f or clerics metaphysical (ideas) beliefs are find over gods, in fact the idea is you will be come the god of your own belief mad as that sounds. I'm going to say no follows, you have to get therm there, class specific things like Animals and mounts fine, Only one Intelligent item and so on. the whole party has to get there in one round v a 30' whole etc. Looking for the Epic feat link but can not see it.

On the game, you HAVE to be based on the same Prime,
Your mortal or once mortal beings looking to become gods, to do that you need follows and daring deeds in fighting others like yourself you need to build a reputation and a following, gods need faith to power them etc. The world has a pool of god-want-to-be's gods and powerful none god beings and the real gods like to thin the ranks of such from time to time, thats why they have let it be known that there may be a number of openings for new gods to fill the ranks of the fallen. Fallen gods, well yes, there has been god war for over 2000 years, The great god Pantheons have been fighting each other. Some good v bad some North or Jungle, some Elf v human gods and so on, So your making not just yourself a god but other to work with you to make a new Pantheon.
making a PC, well hold on that for a wile, just outlines for now.

Its been playing on my mind of late as a GM that we all have books with stuff that will never be used, the mage high level stuff. I asked myself some "what if's?" and "hows?" What if a group of players could play 40th level PCs?
But who are you, what kind of faith are you trying to get started, where is your base of operation, who are your flock in a world at war above and bellow the lands. What if you could be ANY race 3ed party and all, and number of classes that add up to 40. So I was thinking, All players of said game must make a PC and the mean underlings they have + there base of operation, for Faith and God-ness you need followers, temples and such. You will have to used all that gold you get at 40th to pay for the lot. then its down to the GM and other players to see what he can do that's fun to mess up your plans of becoming a good, wile still fighting in a war. All players will get a Higher god as a patron, so think gods and aliments, you may be a half good offspring a an under Demon. They make ask you to fight on there side in the god war. well let me know what you think.
I just realized whats been bugging me about this offering GM, your making a Pathfinder build of that Classic and amazing PnP RPG "Traveler" with some Warhammer40k races and magic dropped to fit the system. I just love traveler, and its a great game world, all ready fleshed put and ready to go. Sorry to say now that, I will have to drop out. I know Laz at mongoose publishing who's the main writer for their Traveler and I'm a play tester, hell the robots book is based on my write up of core system AIs.

Had a much better Idea - Spugly and Fuglet are Taddol, that is one body with two heads, (I will split skills and such between the heads but its one PC in all but name with two voices and personalty's. Ya I could have max with the AI but two heads! has to be done for a doctor.

Im in love to play the medic have to ask SiFi game would you let in Psionics? would love to make an AI Psionic pacifist healer. Using Race elan as the AI base, it would be a Biomechanical construct. the class vitalist to aid others cybernetic Mind/energy tech. It would work under some kind of medical code of saving life 1st. States: Age 5 Str 8 -2 Dex 10 con 10 Int 20 +2 race +6 17point spend WIS 10 Che 10

so the 1st level "Obscuring Mist" spell stops ALL channeling. A misty vapor arises around you. It is stationary once created. The vapor obscures all sight, including darkvision, beyond 5 feet. A creature 5 feet away has concealment (attacks have a 20% miss chance). Creatures farther away have total concealment So your 10 feet away and that 20th level evil cleric that just channeled a can off whup-a*s dos an epic fail with a 1st level spell. Sweet!.

stuff: a tiefling click 10/ fighter 5 Shes TN, her god being Ng the hooded. The idea being she really is an Outsider, her whole look and her belongings are odd. Some other things I was looking to give her DM Rosa has uses an Intelligent Antimonium + 3 Greatsword called "Dark contact" (note: she uses no other hand held weapon or shield) as well as a Antimonium suit of full plate, her magic items tend to be tattoos and not objects as such. |
