HISTORY (...will be fleshed out much more...)
Lythea grew up in orphanage sponsored by the church of Abadar. At one point as she matured, when she was still just a child, Lythea joined the church's well known choir and was immediately recognized for her talents.
Though, recognition can be bad as well as good. This was proved to Lythea as she was abruptly kidnapped after a performance by an evil wizard. The clever man had been able to detect the lillend blood she possessed, after becoming suspicious hearing her sing at a previous congregation. Magically subduing the girl, he whisked Lythea away to Katapesh to serve in his castle as a protege, interested in her peculiar magical bloodline.
If things ended up going this way, Lythea would most likely have become as cruel-hearted as her master. Luckily, shortly after taking Lythea the wizard accidentally died as a result of an experiment gone wrong. But not after revealing the nature of Lythea's powers and providing a small bit of instruction on how to use them. Lost and confused in the large foreign country, she wandered for days until her luck turned for the worse once again, stolen off the road one cold night by a band of slavers.
Lythea has served as a maid in several households for many years, her usefulness prolonged because of her elven heritage. Unfortunately, during her long years of servitude each of her masters have been twice as cruel as the last. She has a very polite, shy, and meek personality because of this treatment, which belies her inner will and impressive vocal talent.
Luckily, her freedom was finally offered to her by the Pactmasters of Katapesh in exchange for participation within Garavel's taskforce. Breaking her decades long subserviance and filled with a determination she's never felt before, Lythea jumped at the chance to break free from her shackles and finally begin to carve her own swathe through life.
