Lady Firehair has tasked me with finding and preserving lost artifacts of significant artistic merit! Oh, excuse me! Where are my manners?" Lizbit turns to address everyone assembled. "I am lady Elizabeth Applestar. My father is Lord Cornelis Lukas Applestar. Maybe you know each other?" She turns back to the nobleman. "Well, anyways, tell me about your family and this ring! Why is it so important that you need it now?"

Going into crypts and looking for old jewelry and stuff is literally what Lizbit does lol

Lady Elizabeth Applestar rises fashionably late.

Her room at the Red Lady inn isn't anything special. A bed and a dresser. It lacks all the luxuries and niceties of her room at the Applestar manor, but then it also lacks the drama. Drama brought on mostly by her cousins. Maybe that's why she decided to stay here.

As part of her daily worship of Sune, she paints a watercolor picture of the street outside her window. She dons a sarashi that shows off her extensive tattoos, light brown linen trousers, and a wide brim straw hat to keep the sun off her skin, then she heads to the common room. Hopefully she's not too late for breakfast.

I have meticulously rebuilt Lizbit from the ground up. Actually I just changed archetype, deleted the unwanted trait, and dropped VMC.

Here's Crisischild's submission. A Hospitaler paladin of the Radiant Prism VMC Cavalier Order of the Star. Plan is to go into the Holy Vindicator prestige class and make use of Channel Smite, Flame Blade, and Flame Blade Dervish. She's a paladin, but she's a fun paladin, not like those Ragathiel paladins! Sorry her background is a little long.

Lizbit:

==========Description==========
Picture of Lizbit.

Height: 5'3" | Weight: 145 lbs. | Hair: Red | Eyes: Light Brown
Lizbit is on the short side for a human, with an athletic build. Her eyes are dark brown and her red hair hangs nearly to her waist, her face heart-shaped with an angular jaw and small, pointed nose. Her complexion is tanned.

She usually dresses in loose-fitting brown or black cotton trousers and brightly colored, loose-fitting, sleeveless silk blouses. The sleeveless tops not only display her impressive musculature but also the tattoos – songbirds all colors of the rainbow are tattooed from the tips of both her fingers and running the lengths of her arms up to her shoulders. The birds turn to kaleidoscopic leaves near her shoulder blades, forming the canopy of an oak tree that covers most of her upper back. The trunk of the oak tree runs down the center of her back where it meets a pool of water at her lower back; Lizbit’s nymph mother lounges in the pool. The tree’s roots plunge below the surface of the water, down her buttocks and snaking down her legs, turning into multicolored ribbons, tapering off and ending at her toes. This large tattoo is not visible under her normal clothing, but she dresses to show it off when she can. She carries herself with confidence and moves in a way that suggests both grace and power.

==========Personality==========
Lizbit is confident, patient, and kind. Outgoing and extroverted, she has a huge circle of friends and acquaintances. She quickly flits from one group of friends to the next, not favoring any groups or individuals over any others. She takes the tenets of her faith seriously, promoting ideals of peace, forgiveness, love, and acceptance to those she meets. She can often be found counseling quarreling couples or business partners. While she often comes off as naïve due to her insistence that all conflicts can be solved peacefully, she was raised in circles of duplicitous nobility and is more than capable of sussing out those with ulterior motives.
Lizbit adores all forms of artistic expression. Very often she is late to appointments because she stops to enjoy any street performance she comes across. She spends a probably foolish amount of coin attending theater and the opera. Never one to take things too seriously, Lizbit is quick to laugh. Free-spirited and bubbling with positivity, she always offers a bright spark of hope in dark times. She has a burning passion for all forms of art and loves to sing and dance, even if she is not very skilled at either.

==========Story==========
Dandelion Honeywood, nymph of the Sanos Forest in central Varisia, was used to the little gnomes of the forest bringing her petitions from outsiders. Most of the petitions implored her to save failing crops or relocate dangerous magical beasts. Lord Cornelis Lukas Applestar of Magnimar’s request was unique: sit for a year as a model for a marble sculpture. Magnimar was far further afield than she had ever been and the idea of leaving her secluded spring for a whole year frankly terrified her, but the flowery prose of lord Applestar’s petition and the rough sketch of the finished sculpture, as well as the adventure of traveling to and from the city, convinced her.

Lord Cornelis Lukas Applestar of Magnimar was the youngest son of lord and lady Applestar. With many older brothers and sisters to fulfil the families’ noble obligations, Cornelis was free to pursue his own desires in life. His passions turned out to be the arts, primarily painting and sculptures. In a vivid dream one night he was inspired to create a sculpture of a nymph standing in her pond. Cornelis decided to pursue the dream and create the statue. It was to be the largest sculpture he had ever produced and, in keeping with his dream, he sought out an appropriate nymph to be his muse, and a muse he found.

Dandelion Honeywood was the most beautiful being Cornelis had ever seen or could even imagine. It took him some time to acclimatize to working with such a stunning subject, but eventually work on the sculpture began in earnest. Despite having no other obligations to distract him from his work, the sculpture, made to be twice as large as Dandelion was, took over a year to complete. The artistic duo got to know and enjoy each other’s company over the months and were sorry to part ways as the project was finished. The pair were not romantically inclined towards each other but, perhaps with their passions fired by the long-awaited completion of the sculpture, they spent Dandelion’s last night in Magnimar together. Dandelion returned to her spring and Cornelis returned to smaller artistic projects.

Some months later, Dandelion surprised Cornelis at the family manor. She had not written that she would be visiting and, even more surprising, she carried an infant swaddled in oversized leaves in her arms. Their one night together had been more productive than they had planned. Dandelion, a flighty fey who lived in the woods and oft fought with owlbears and werewolves, had no desire to raise a child and she left their daughter with her father.

Elizabeth, who went by Lizbit, had a typical childhood for the daughter of a noble artist. Her education was focused more on the arts than practical knowledge and her father, who absolutely adored her, gave her free run of the manor and grounds. It was clear from early on that the girl was favored by the Radiant Prism; songbirds flocked to the half-nymph, announcing her presence wherever she went. Lizbit spent much of her time traipsing through the expansive yards of the noble district of Magnimar, drawn to nature by her fey ancestry. Her skill with traditional arts surpassed most children her age, but there was one art she excelled at: martial arts. Her family was not entirely pleased that Lizbit was traveling the path of a warrior, but it was obvious Sarenrae was calling her to something bigger than sculptures and paintings.

As an adolescent, Lizbit was sent to the far side of the Inner Sea region to Oppara, the capital of Taldor, to be trained at the Golden Rose and House of Dawn's Redemption, the oldest and largest known temples to Shelyn and Sarenrae. Her father traveled with her to experience to art scene of the Taldane. It took much grooming and gentle but firm guidance from the priests, but Lizbit learned to tame her wild, fey nature; she was molded into a warrior of strong morals, reflecting the virtues of the Radiant Prism. She was no stick in the mud, though, and enjoyed the city life.

Years passed and Lizbit entered adulthood and completed her training. She was finally ready to set out on the missions Shelyn intended for her. Guided by her Muse and the scholars of Shelyn and Sarenrae's temples, Lizbit was to delve in to forgotten crypts and temples and recover lost artworks to be catalogued and displayed as they were intended. Before leaving on her first mission, Lizbit took the name “Freewind” to represent her free-spirited nature.

After many successful missions for Shelyn, Sarenrae called Lizbit far to the north, to the haunted lands of Ustalav. Fragments of a powerful artifact, posited to be related to the Whispering Tyrant, had been uncovered deep in an old salt mine in the county of Barstoi, on the northeastern edge of Ustalav. The artifact was too powerful to be destroyed by the three temples of Pharasma the small county boasts, and needed to be transported to the Grand Cathedral of Pharasma in Korvosa to be properly disposed of. Many paladins and clerics of Sarenrae and Iomedae, led by a rather unpleasant paladin of Ragathiel were drafted into the important move, and Lizbit was included. The Sarenties were to meet the procession of Iomedaean in Caliphas to aid in moving the artifact through the treacherous Gravelands and then on through Varisia to Korvosa.

On her way to Caliphas, somewhere betwixt Grayce and the capital at a long forgotten and grown over cemetery, Lizbit met professor Lorrimor, his scream through the fog drawing the young woman's attention. Using the haft of her glaive, she vaulted over the rotten wrought iron fence that bordered the lost collection of graves, sprinting over fallen headstones and cracked sarcophagi exposed by erosion or something more sinister. The sight of the two ghouls circling the scholar, hopelessly throwing various instruments of archeology and surveying at the undead, may have been enough to halt most people, but not Lizbit. She had spent plenty of time in old necropoli searching for lost artwork and she was familiar with the monsters that haunt dark tombs and, being part fey, she was not threatened by the terrible diseases ghouls and their ilk carry. She quickly cut down one of the monsters, her polearm keeping her safe from its reaching claws, but lost her glaive when she struck an overhead tree branch. Quickly shifting to her shield and scimitar, she called upon the purifying holy flame of Sarenrae and cut down the second ghoul.

As it happened, professor Lorrimor was also headed to Caliphas once his research in the graveyard was finished. Lizbit helped him, then the two made their way to Caliphas. the professor promised he would never forget what she had done for him. True to his word, months later, long after she had left Ustalav behind, a courier found her at a roadside chapel. He bore a letter sealed with wax—the crest of Petros Lorrimor. A summons from beyond the grave.

The paladins of the Dawnflower are fierce warriors, like their goddess. They provide hope to the weak and support to the righteous. Their tenets include the following adages.
- I will protect my allies with my life. They are my light and my strength, as I am their light and their strength. We rise together.
- I will seek out and destroy the spawn of the Rough Beast. If I cannot defeat them, I will give my life trying. If my life would be wasted in the attempt, I will find allies. If any fall because of my inaction, their deaths lie upon my soul, and I will atone for each.
- I am fair to others. I expect nothing for myself but that which I need to survive.
- The best battle is a battle I win. If I die, I can no longer fight. I will fight fairly when the fight is fair, and I will strike quickly and without mercy when it is not.
- I will redeem the ignorant with my words and my actions. If they will not turn toward the light, I will redeem them by the sword.
- I will not abide evil, and will combat it with steel when words are not enough. I do not flinch from my faith, and do not fear embarrassment. My soul cannot be bought for all the stars in the sky.
- I will show the less fortunate the light of the Dawnflower. I will live my life as her mortal blade, shining with the light of truth.
- Each day is another step toward perfection. I will not turn back into the dark.

The paladins of Shelyn are peaceable promoters of art and beauty. They see the ugliness in evil, even when cloaked in the form of beauty, and their mission is to defend those who devote their lives to the creation of beauty, bring it forth themselves, and prevent the weak and foolish from being seduced by false promises. Their tenets include the following adages.
- I see beauty in others. As a rough stone hides a diamond, a drab face may hide the heart of a saint.
- I am peaceful. I come first with a rose rather than a weapon, and act to prevent conflict before it blossoms. I never strike first, unless it is the only way to protect the innocent.
- I accept surrender if my opponent can be redeemed—and I never assume that they cannot be. All things that live love beauty, and - I will show beauty’s answer to them.
- I live my life as art. I will choose an art and perfect it. When I have mastered it, I will choose another. The works I leave behind make life richer for those who follow.
- I will never destroy a work of art, nor allow one to come to harm, unless greater art arises from its loss. I will only sacrifice art if doing so allows me to save a life, for untold beauty can arise from an awakened soul.
- I lead by example, not with my blade. Where my blade passes, a life is cut short, and the world’s potential for beauty is lessened.

Oof. That is a solid team comp. I don't envy the dragon's chances.

Alright, took longer than I wanted because work is the big dumb, but Lizbit is finally ready.

Unchained Rogue, but she's more fighty than most rogues. I think she'd fulfill more of a Ranger or Slayer roll; a fighter with decent skills more than a skillmonkey. Granted her attacks will be a bit anemic until she gets 1.5x dex to damage at level 3. The more I thought about it, the more enticing UnRogue 4/UnBarb 2 sounded, so that's the build plan.

The only thing I haven't decided on is deity, but I've narrowed it down to Calistria or Desna. I think I'll wait on final party composition to decide. If Lizbit will have a flanking buddy with an X3 or X4 crit weapon, she'll worship Desna and take Butterfly's Sting at level 5. Otherwise, she'll worship Calistria and take Wasp Familiar at 5 and 7 just because it sounds cool.

I took the You're Seeking your Fortune campaign trait. Lizbit is looking more for fame and recognition, but it's close enough.

Lizbit Freewind; Badass Swordstress, Occasional Thief:

======Description======
Lizbit.
Lizbit in her 'pirate' outfit. It's not as if professional sailors need practical clothing or anything.
Height: 5' | Weight: 90 lbs. | Hair: Shoulder blade length, unstyled pale blond hair | Eyes: Icy blue

Lizbit Freewind is a slip of a young woman. A Shoreborn half-elf, she presents few of her father's elven traits, instead taking after her Taldan mother in most aspects. Unkempt blond hair, sun-bleached to a pale gold, hangs to her shoulder blades, framing a triangular face. Her almond-shaped eyes are pale blue, her nose small and upturned. A perpetual smirk, hinting at mischief recently or about to be committed, constantly graces her face. Androgynous with a petite, boyish build, she can easily pass as a young boy or girl - a fact she takes advantage of to weasel her way out of trouble. Her fingers and toes are partially webbed like her father's.

Lizbit's 'adventuring outfit' includes sturdy calf-high leather boots, black linen trousers, brown linen gloves (custom made to accommodate her webbed fingers) a black and pale blue long-sleeved linen top, and a blue hood that doubles as a face mask. Any buttons and buckles are painted with a rubbery black coating to prevent them from clinking or reflecting light when she has to be sneaky. Her primary weapon is the elven curve blade which, including the hilt, is almost as long as she is tall.

======Personality======
Some might describe Lizbit as confidant while others would call her arrogant. The wealth of her mother and the influence of her foster parents shielded her from any real consequences for the petty crimes she committed as a young child, giving her a sense of untouchability. She is a reckless thrill seeker, diving headfirst down whatever path interests her without planning for a way out should she get in over her head. A troublemaking tomboy, she is fond of pranks, heists, or simply inconveniencing others. She is something of a hedonist, but she does not shy away from challenging or difficult tasks, so long as they lead to an end she desires. Selfish but not cruel, she wants to help others and to be recognized for it, but she struggles to resist the temptation of the fun to be had by misbehaving. Slow to forgive slights against her (real or perceived), she always has to get the last word in one way or another.

======History======

Elizabetth O’Shannon was born at sea on the merchant ship Freewind to a Taldan mother and an unknown aquatic elf father. Her mother, Sophia O’Shannon, not only captained the Freewind but owned the vessel. The clipper could haul any cargo it could fit in its hold, but the Freewind specialized in transporting large or fragile works of art; ancient statues and obelisks; sarcophagi and burial artifacts; fragile tapestries and paintings that had to be transported in special, airtight containers to protect them from the harsh sea air. If they had no art to move, the swift clipper hauled fresh produce and herbs to make ends meet. Elizabetth's mother, not wanting an infant on the ship, ordered the ship to Absalom, where she purchased a cottage overlooking the docks and her first mate took the Freewind back to the trade routes. A wealthy woman, Sophia told herself that her daughter would not go through childhood a near-feral ragamuffin like she had. Sophia would stay on dry land and raise her daughter to be a respectable lady herself.

Perhaps it was the view of all the ships coming and going, perhaps it was just her nature, but Sophia only lasted six months. As soon as Elizabetth was weaned, Sophia turned the girl over to old business associates and returned to the sea. For six years Elizabetth was raised in Absalom by Brassouck and Gossilynn Goldeye. The old dwarven couple and their warehouses and cranes had long been a staple of the Absalom docks. Recently retired, they were looking for something meaningful to fill their time - dwarves could be retired for hundreds of years - and they happily took Elizabetth in, assuring her mother that they would mold her into a proper lady befitting the daughter of someone as wealthy as Sophia. They were met with little success.

Despite being free of her mother's rebellious influence and being raised by patient, levelheaded dwarves, Elizabetth was a terror. She had no interest in learning to be a "proper lady”. Instead of learning proper posture and speech, she ran barefoot through the alleys; instead of learning genealogy and coats-of-arms, she pickpocketed merchants; instead of learning to dance, she fought with boys. Elizabetth fell in with a group of poorer youths, some of whom needed to steal to survive, but she did it for fun, even learning to pick locks from one of the older boys. The only activity suitable to a child of wealth she enjoyed was fencing lessons. The Brassouck’s hired an elven swordsmaster to teach her to use the elven curve blade – the weapon of her father’s people – though they were careful to lock her sword away after lessons so she would not take to carrying it around everywhere she went.

Elizabetth’s mother stopped by to see her when she had business in Absalom. When the girl was seven, and with it clear that Elizabetth was not going to submit to her mother’s wish to see her grow into a lady, Sophia relented to her daughters nagging and allowed Elizabetth to board the Freewind. They were hauling spices from Sothis, Osirion to Magnimar, Varisia. An easy and safe trip. Not surprisingly, the Shoreborn Elizabetth took to ship life quickly. Her version of ship life, at least. Elizabetth did not want to learn of sailing or mercantilism, instead doing a lot of running around and climbing the rigging. The moment they docked in Magnimar, the girl absconded. After two days of searching, the crew of the Freewind found Elizabetth at a Calistrian temple, wearing a makeshift dress of black and yellow silk fashioned by the clerics of Calistria. When told it was time to leave, Elizabetth responded that she could not leave because she lived there now. Sophia was just happy to see her daughter in a dress for once. This became the norm for the curious young girl. Each time the Freewind docked, she set out to explore the strange new locales. Often, she would be escorted back to the Freewind by local law enforcement, pockets stuffed with nicked trinkets and petty change.

Sophia hired a tutor-cum-blademaster, Riluaneth Raloralei, to travel onboard the Freewind to continue Elizabetth’s education. She was a bright enough girl but had no interest in education that was not sword related. As she entered her tweens, the short stays in port to resupply or deliver goods was not enough to sate her appetite to explore new lands. She wanted to depart the Freewind and stay, to be picked up a few months later when the ship made its return journey. Sophia agreed on the grounds that master Raloralei traveled with her. Elizabetth argued that she should be allowed to travel alone because her mother had been alone at her age, but Sophia hardly saw that as valid. It was true she had been alone, and she had eventually succeeded alone, but it had not been the romantic adventure Elizabetth thought it was. Elizabetth agreed to “allow” Raloralei to travel with her after many tears and tantrums, and they departed the Freewind in Goka on the western edge of Tian Xia. Their plan was to travel east across the continent and meet up with the Freewind in Zetang four months later. It was an uneventful journey, which pleased Raloralei and Sophia, but Elizabetth enjoyed it despite the lack of the dragons she fancied roamed freely over Tian Xia.

Elizabetth spent her teenage years bouncing back and forth between different cities and the Freewind. Sophia gave up any hope that her daughter would join high society or even follow in her own footsteps. This did not upset Sophia; in the end, what she really wanted was for her daughter to have the freedom and ability to live her life as she saw fit, happy and safe. As she entered adulthood, Sophia could no longer reign in her daughter – Elizabetth was a woman and could do as she pleased, for better or worse. Raloralei had taught her everything he could about the blade and what little she was willing to learn of history, mathematics, politics and so forth and it was time for them to part ways. Sophia O’Shannon was legendary in her own right amongst ship captains and Elizabetth wanted to strike out on her own and make her own mark on the world and a name for herself. Raloralei had a contact in Belhaim, a man called Silas Gribb, who might have just the adventurous job for Elizabetth to cut her teeth on. And so, at the familiar docks of Cassomir, “Lizbit Freewind” kisses her mother goodbye and departs the Freewind, perhaps for the last time.

Ok, I read this over last night, slept on it, and frankly, other than making the ability seriously OP, (which I would not prefer) I think the best I can do is to ignore the update Paizo has done. Since we're talking a character that is a rogue and not a full spellcaster, I'd run it exactly as originally written. Minor Magic Talented would no longer have unlimited uses per day.

Not sure if that kills your enthusiasm for it, but if I were DM'ing tabletop, that'd be my call. It was balanced as it was, so that's how I'd run it here, methinks.

It's certainly less exciting, but Minor Magic is just a tax for Major Magic anyways. I wouldn't take it at all if I didn't have to.

I'm putting together an UnRogue (this profile) to submit here and I have a question that requires GM interpretation.

Paizo never updated the elf minor magic FCB for UnRogues. You need to take the minor magic FCB at least as many times as the Major Magic FCB, but the minor magic rogue talent was changed to give unlimited uses of a cantrip instead of x times per day, so the minor magic FCB doesn't technically do anything.

Elf UnRogue FCB:
Add +1 to the number of times per day the rogue can cast a cantrip or 1st-level spell gained from the minor magic or major magic talent. The number of times this bonus is selected for the major magic talent cannot exceed the number of times it is selected for the minor magic talent. The rogue must possess the associated rogue talent to select these options.

So how would you rule the FCB works, GM Minotaur?
1: The Minor Magic FCB can't be taken so the Major Magic FCB can't be taken - Makes me sad.
2: Each time you take the Minor Magic FCB it gives a new cantrip to use with Minor Magic - Seems OP.
3: Ignore Minor Magic FCB and just take Major Magic FCB every level - Also seems OP.
4: Take Minor Magic FCB at least as many times as Major Magic FCB, it just doesn't do anything.
5: Something else?

I want to take Mage Hand as the Minor Magic talent and Shield as the Major Magic Talent, if it matters.
