Hello there!
Im playing a summoner and I've hit level 14, getting the "Life Bond" class feature. It's stated that:
"At 14th level, a summoner’s life becomes linked to his eidolon’s. As long as the eidolon has 1 or more hit points, the summoner is protected from harm. Damage in excess of that which would reduce the summoner to fewer than 0 hit points is instead transferred to the eidolon. This damage is transferred 1 point at a time, meaning that as soon as the eidolon is reduced to a number of negative hit points equal to its Constitution score, all excess damage remains with the summoner."
I have a question about this. Would I be able to transfer damage that the eidolon is immune to?
Lets say I spent 2 evolution points to make my eidolon immune to fire. My summoner has 10 hp left. My summoner then takes 20 points of fire damage. Would life link activate, and transfer the remaining 10 fire damage to my eidolon, even if it's immune to fire damage? Would it just be converted into normal damage?
What would happen? Thanks!
