![]() Thanks, Mike! It's been really fun and no worries on this--if you get it up and running at some point, I'll be ready whenever you are. For now, good luck with everything at work. I hope you get a little time to yourself. Also, I hope your dad gets better soon. Thanks again for everything--I know it takes a lot of time and effort to run a game. ![]()

I believe I'll join you. A cheery disposition is just what we need in times like these, so Sister Iona seems like the perfect person to see. Lem smiles and heads off towards his room, turning back briefly: I'll just be a minute! A few minutes later he returns with his cleric's vestments on. Official church business and all, have to look the part, right? ![]()

![]() I assume that Rose is going to the temple at some point to give the holy symbols to Iona. When she does, I will offer to accompany her. I'd like to see Iona's reaction. Just wanted to post this now since the weather is pretty bad and I don't know how much I'll be able to post today/tomorrow. ![]()

![]() Kendra A. Lorrimor wrote: Lem! Kendra cries in alarm, as he is the last to make his way in. Are you well? You look like...well, you look like you've seen a ghost. More than one, actually, and more than just 'seen'. The one who calls himself 'Father Charlatan' got inside here, for a time, the priest points to his own skull before continuing. He clouded my thoughts with visions, deceiving me as he did his victims in life. Because of this, I would not have believed the events I saw unfold before my eyes had the others not seen it as well. Pharasma herself grabbed his soul and carried him to the Boneyard for judgment. Harrowstone is a bit safer, now, and our journey is a little shorter. ![]()

![]() Lem, at first quiet in thought at the discovery of the items, notices Theron cautiously eying the axe. The Mosswater Marauder seemed the most likely to be a spirit with a chance of redemption--he's obviously dangerous, but I have some hope that we might ease his suffering. If I'm not mistaken, that leaves the Splatter Man and the Lopper. The Splatter Man seems to be somehow not confined to the prison, which makes him the most pressing concern, but I fear that axe may be cursed. A man who would call himself the "Lopper" and whose spirit would linger in undeath seems the most likely to impart some curse to his weapon of choice. Perhaps we should wrap the axe up in something and take it to the church? If we could consecrate the weapon, it may disrupt the spirit's hold on the physical realm... ![]()

![]() Lem sits up, coughing and with his chest itching like a healing wound. He looks around, gaining his bearings, and speaks quietly and solemnly. Back here again, huh? Thank you friends. For a long time there I thought I was lost... He steadies himself for a lingering moment before standing slowly. A long while there I thought I had passed, beyond this world into Desna's waiting arms. There was a woman, a woman of the faith, who told me you'd paid to have me brought back to life, that the evils of Harrowstone were vanquished. I was all prepared to scold you for wasting your money on an old man whose service was complete, but there was another presence there--dark, sinister. Sefick, and that's all he is to me, for I will never call him 'father', when he could not destroy my faith he sought to destroy my will. The priest looks at his companions in turn, smiling with pride. But Desna alone does not guide me. You all saved me from his machinations--your faith is stronger than Sefick's evil, and that is why he now awaits judgment. Walter, I heard a voice speaking to me, protecting me, and I know it was yours. Rajuna, I could feel Sefick's anger directed to you, and I thank you for the respite from his attentions. And as for the others... Lem pulls down the neckline of his robes to reveal a newly-formed marking over his heart, a butterfly with a spiral-pommeled longsword for a body. My flock sees me as an instrument of Desna, wielding vast powers, but it is not so. I am merely one of the many voices who carry her word. It has always been the faith of the people that moves the gods to action, as they have here today. Your prayers were answered, and another evil has been stamped out of this place. I am honored to be with you, and I will stand with you until Harrowstone's spirits have all been laid to rest and their souls judged in the Boneyard. Wish I could type more, but that's the best I can do in the 7 minutes I have to post. :-/ ![]()

It mentioned this: "If you fail the save, we'll wait to see what happens with the potion before we start making stabilisation checks etc." About an hour after that PM I posted a Fort Save (failed, 1 str damage indicated), dropped to 0 hp, and my will save was a 15. I believe Rose then healed me for 7? I'll have to go back and check that. Anyway, I didn't receive any more PMs after that and I didn't see any mention of whether the 15 WS was successful or not. Do I need to make another Will Save? Thank you, my good man. :-) ![]()

He looks around the room for signs of manifestation as he speaks in a booming voice. Show yourselves, spirits! We have faced your like and prevailed many times before. I walk with the light of Desna, and I will not succumb to fear over wayward souls caught between the worlds. Walk beside me and I will set you on the path to the ever after. ![]() I was having trouble getting on, too. I assume FS2 is crushed, right? With a few quick hops, Lem is behind Raj, placing a hand on him. The spirits have almost been vanquished, my son. Hold fast, and strike with Desna's blessing. Move to AK 26. Standard: Casts Guidance on Rajuna. ![]()

![]() After reeling in the rope, Lem drops it, examining his arms and hands. He pulls a vial from his pack and downs it before turning to the others. ![]() Will Save 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13 Knowledge (Religion) 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10 Lem tries to recall hearing anything about such restless spirits, but can't. He trusts Theron's judgment, though. The priest shrugs his shoulders, pulls out a scroll from his backpack, and says: This should keep me safe. Anyone got a rope? Assuming someone complies by tying a rope around Lem's waist... Lem nods to whomever is willing to hold the rope and prepares to climb into the furnace to retrieve the bones. Well, at least if I fail, you won't have to go through the trouble of burying me. He tries a smile, then nods to I assume the strongest person who isn't shaken and asks a quick blessing from Desna before casting the spell from the scroll and climbing into the furnace. ![]() Lem intones another spell, filling Rajuna with a slight tinge of divine power. He creases his brow as he thinks of a way to destroy the spirit for good, and recalls the professor's cache of mystical weaponry. The evil shades cling desperately to unlife, no doubt a result of fell deeds committed here long ago. The gods grant us power to drive back our enemies, but the fire here burns too hot with damned souls for us to tarry much longer. Pharasma, and through her, Professor Lorrimor, has granted us a mighty weapon to vanquish spirits such as these. We must use a haunt siphon here, before the fire consumes us. Standard: Cast Virtue on Rajuna, triggering Harmonic Spell. Inspire Courage, (5/9) rounds remaining. I think Rose, Karrik, and Theron should keep up with the disrupt undead spells, and then Raj or Dragomir (can't remember who all has the haunt siphons) should uncork one of the haunt siphons, IMO. Smoke 'em if you got 'em. ![]()

![]() Sweat rolls down the tiny priest's face as the fire spews forth, filling the room with unbearable heat from the unholy fire. Lem gives a start as the fire rushes past him, sighing with relief to see Walter, and not a pile of ash, still standing next to him. In the moment of hesitation the others spring forward, bringing their weapons to bear against the restless spirits. He snaps back to his senses, reaching into his pocket for the magical stone as he watches his friends' desperate fight. He raises his voice to be heard over the sounds of the roaring furnace and the swirling melee. Strike true, and fear not the flames! The light of Desna shines brighter than any pretender's fire called forth from evil. No mortal shade, man or machine, can stand against the power of the Great Dreamer! Move: Draw Magic Stone Standard: Inspire Courage, (5/9) rounds remaining. I have 10 HP and 1 temp HP from Virtue. ![]()

Lem produces yet another vial, handing it over to Dragomir. Here you are, friend. Best make it count--I don't have much left. Those stones will still do nicely, too, though they may fare better against more corporeal threats. I believe all three stones missed, right? If we can retrieve them, I'd give one back to Walter, one back to Raj, and I'll take one. Regarding healing--how many spells does Walter have left? If he has 3 or more I'd say have him use a spell to heal himself. If he has 2 or less, I'd say he should drink a potion. As for the other stuff, I'll weigh in on the discussion thread.
