"Another giant. Heh"

Warbeard sets himself low and kicks at the earth like a bull before the charge. Then he lowers his shoulder and rushes at the giant, 10-foot Durgan.

improved overrun (rage!): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30

Ledda hits Durgan's knees with such force that he bowls the bigger dwarf over. Then, he looks smug about it.

Warbeard attempts to shove through Durgan, but Durgan doesn't move.

Axes lock. Battle is joined!

Durgan wasn't going to pass within AOO range. Skirting the edge of the tower.

But if Warbeard speaks up with a challenge, I could have Durgan stop with a single move and fight him. Whatever makes for a better game.

That is completely your call, but Ledda does speak as Durgan comes into view.

"This area is off limits until things are under control. You and yours get back to the great hall." It doesn't come out as a suggestion.

Durgan takes another double move, hoping his 25' Invisibility Purge will reveal Hotspur.

As before, may change movement if he reveals Hotspur's presence, and might take a standard if he does so within a single move.

"Where do you think you're going?" Warbeard says to Durgan.

Durgan reveals Miles again, but no Hotspur. How close is Durgan passing to Warbeard?

Warbeard searches about for the client.

Warbeard takes a slug of one of his potions.

cmw: 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (4, 7) + 3 = 14

Following his captain's orders, Warbeard snatches up Alia's blade and stows it.

Warbeard angered at the jam-up on the stairs, and frustrated with not being able to stop Scarlet rushes round the other way to cut the red dwarf off, and incidentally plowing past Miles, nearly knocking him over.

improved overrun v Miles (rage!): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16

Zokon's blunt arrow THWACKS off of the warrior dwarf's helm.

"GRRRAAAH!" Warbeard roars in frustration.

Warbeard over balanced by his miss rushes to catch up, beard streaming, axe flat over his helm, held firmly in his two strong hand he brings it down in what otherwise might have been a killing blow but again misses.

flat of dwarven waraxe v Scarlet (aid, power attack, rage! 2-handed, buckler, nonlethal): 1d20 + 7 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (14) + 7 + 2 - 4 = 19 nonlethal damage: 1d10 + 14 ⇒ (6) + 14 = 20 Miss!

As Scarlet passes the dwarf warrior mutters. "I swore I wouldn't kill you for your brother sake, but that doesn't mean you get a pass on everything." The flat of Warbeards axe moves so fast it could have felled a tree but it just misses Scarlet.

flat of dwarven waraxe v Scarlet (AoO, power attack, rage! 2-handed, buckler, nonlethal): 1d20 + 7 - 4 ⇒ (1) + 7 - 4 = 4 nonlethal damage: 1d10 + 14 ⇒ (1) + 14 = 15 Miss!

"And where do you think you're going?" Ledda Warbeard says extending a hand to stop Scarlet.

The bathhouse There isn't enough real estate for separate bath houses. The party could bathe in shifts, or hang up an old sheet (probably full of holes ;) ). Either way it doesn't seem to bother Serena.

But once that's over comes the fun part: Meeting her old allies in the Company. Looking for familiar faces, greeting the newcomers, wondering if her allies are around.

Oh yeah, and what's been happening in Mivon? Why did the company have to leave?

"Got a job, and you should know what your brother says about jobs; 'A jobs a job. Do the job.'"

"Ledda, a newcomer. Okay, sounds good to me." She nods to Makdoon and approaches the heavily armored dwarves with a grin on her face.

"Oi, Ledda. Good to see ya." She reaches her hand out for a shake. "I'm BB's sister, Scarlet."

"Eh, I can tell you're gonna do great here."

"Hrumph." Ledda shakes Scarlet's hand--grudgingly.

Scarlet can tell that Ledda has some sort of problem with her.

Oh GM, you have Igor? Haha, he's an odd one.

Scraps too. ;)

Upon seeing the Angus and Arbalasti, Ledda orders someone below to open up.

The gates open upon on a dozen very heavily armed dwarves in arrayed with axes, pikes and crossbows aimed in the party's direction. Ledda arrives to to greet his two lost comrades who (well, one of whom) explains what's going on.

"'Sister' you say?" Ledda says with an obvious disapproving glance at Scarlet. "Hrumph. The boss is in war council right now, and won't be out until supper."

The dwarf mercenaries lower their weapons, but still seem wary.

"We can't be too careful. You weren't followed where you?"

"What's all this then!?" calls a gruff voice from high above.
