About Leandra Larendriel
Born in Kyonin to an elven mother, Larendriel never knew her father – a hunter from the River Kingdoms, whom her mother nursed back to health after finding him wounded in the woods. Her happy childhood came to a sudden end when her mother, unable to face the prospect of her beloved daughter growing old and dying before her eyes in a few fleeting decades, took her to the nearest human city and left her in the care of a temple. Larendriel has never seen her mother since, and neither has she forgiven her.
What her mother, unfamiliar with the human society, didn't realize was that that city was Xer and the priests she entrusted her daughter to were the masked adepts of Razmir. Thus began Leandra's – as her new human "family" now called her – youth of poverty and thankless labor, which ended with her contracting tuberculosis at the tender age of 17. When the masked priests failed to cure her, she took it as a sign that Razmir had abandoned her and, with her last strength, fled Razmiran for the River Kingdoms. She was discovered by a Tymonian patrol on the verge of death from sickness and exhaustion and taken to the nearest town.
The priest who cured her there was a servant of Milani, and his magic was Leandra Larendriel's first encounter with the divine. As she recovered, she came to believe that by saving her life, the half-elven goddess of rebellion had chosen her as her agent. She trained herself in the art of the wind hunt, knowing that her ultimate quarry would be people – like the fake priests of Razmir. As soon as she could, she traveled to Andoran in hopes of joining the fabled Eagle Knights, but a chance meeting with the Varisian bard Christobal convinced her to join Major Maldris' network instead. While undergoing Pathfinder training on Kortos Island, Leandra had began establishing a reputation of a relentless, if selective bounty hunter.
Leandra is a slight half-elven woman with shoulder-length brown hair and piercing silvery-grey eyes. She prefers functional armor over elegant clothes and is rarely seen without her signature cloak that seems to shift colors to match her surroundings. She empathizes strongly with the abandoned and the betrayed, and cannot stand the corrupt and the duplicitous. One day, she hopes to meet her father or, at least, learn what became of him.
