Personally, I don't see a reason to lie about the encounter. We could just as easily spin the facts in a positive light. We ran into the elf that wiped out a large number of experienced gobbos. We realised the five of us couldn't take her... so we bought time for our tribe by 'negotiating' with her which gives us time to warn the tribe and prepare to ambush her with a lot more fighters. We also cleverly found out that all the elf really wants is some woman and if we find her, we can make the elf go away. We're giving the chief two good options: We can make the elf leave (and not lose a lot more gobbos) or we have enough time to prepare an ambush that will let us kill the elf. Win-Win.

However, if you guys want to lie to the chief, I'll play along. It really makes no difference to me.

At length, Laz tracks down the group investigating the goblin deaths. He listens quietly to the conversation and then looks over the wounds on the body, comparing them to his arrow-heads. Afterwards, he scampers onto the roof and looks for any indication of the stalker.

"I like puppet idea... got to make sure other gobbos aren't sleeping under windows to make stalker come to us. I should hide on roof close by and watch for him."

Laz sheathes his rat-hunting weapon, flexes his fingers and then rolls them into tight fists. His knuckles crack from the strength in his fingers and forearms. He eyes Gupy levelly. "That door better be open when I get to it, and you better be out of my way... or I'm going through both of you." He starts slowly walking towards the door, giving Gupy about 12 seconds to act.

Laz is trying to spot whatever might be sneaking into town to disappear goblins and/or spot goblins sneaking out and running into trouble. Basically, I''m playing along with the main mission.

Laz thinks on the offer. "Rat things not rats? They hiding below your house? What did they look like?" He weighs things a bit more, "Maybe I can help... Did Ki Ah have trouble catching them? And what kind of reward you got in mind?" Knowing Gupy's reputation, Laz is wary of what she'd call a 'reward'.
