Arcane Affinities: A legendary arcanist’s spell list is divided into affinities that describe the general themes they have natural talent with and which they can hone through study. Every legendary arcanist gains the universal affinity, and 3 more affinities of their choice at 1st level. The legendary arcanist’s spell list is made up of the spells from their affinities. They can prepare any spell from their arcane affinities if they have that spell in their spellbook and are of sufficient level.
If an exploit or archetype adds additional spells to the legendary arcanist’s class list, it is added to the universal affinity, unless stated otherwise. (Sabella has chosen Light, Theurge, and War).
Arcane Edge (Su): At 1st level, the legendary sorcerer becomes skilled in basic magic. Whenever they use a legendary sorcerer cantrip that does damage, they may add half their Wisdom modifier, rounded down, to the damage done.
Arcane Experience (Ex): The arcane seeker uses their Wisdom, rather than their Charisma, to determine all class features and effects relating to their legendary sorcerer class, such as bonus spells per day, the maximum spell level you can cast, and the save DCs of your spells.
Arcane Reservoir (Su): A legendary arcanist has an innate pool of magical energy that they can draw upon to fuel their arcanist exploits and enhance their spells. Each day, when preparing spells, the legendary arcanist’s arcane reservoir fills with raw magical energy, gaining a number of points equal to their Int modifier + their Wis modifier. Any points they had from the previous day are lost.
The legendary arcanist can also gain these points through other class features (consume spells) and some arcanist exploits, but points gained this way are only temporary. The legendary arcanist spends these points first but loses one temporary point at the end of each of their turns. There is no maximum to the number of points that a legendary arcanist can have in their reservoir.
Points from the arcanist reservoir are used to fuel many of the legendary arcanist’s powers.
Arcane Surge (Su): The legendary arcanist can enhance their spells in powerful ways using their arcane reservoir. When they cast a legendary arcanist spell, they may expend 1 point from their arcane reservoir as a free action to surge the spell. The surge adds a +1 bonus to the spell which can be applied in a number of different ways, and that bonus increases by +1 every 4 levels after the first to a maximum of 5 at 17th level.
There are 2 ways to surge a spell:
Potent Surge: The bonus is applied to the caster level of the spell.
Persistent Surge: Half the bonus (rounded up) is applied to the saving throw DC of the spell.
Aura of Power (Su): The legendary sorcerer exudes an aura of magical power that is detectable by abilities that detect such things, such as detect magic. They appear as a magical item with a caster level equal to their class level. They do not register as a specific school, but a successful Spellcraft check against a DC of 15 + half their class level can identify them as a legendary sorcerer, determine what archetypes they possess (if any), and identify their bloodline. A spell may only be surged in one way. Multiple uses of this ability do not stack.
Consume Spells (Su): At 1st level, a legendary arcanist can expend an available legendary arcanist spell slot as a move action, making it unavailable for the rest of the day, just as if they had used it to cast a spell. Doing this adds 1 point to their arcane reservoir, regardless of the level of the spell slot consumed. Cantrips (0 level spells) cannot be consumed this way.
Divine Domain: The theurge has learned enough about divine power to acquire a domain. They choose one clerical domain: at 1st level, they add all that domain’s domain spells to their spell list as part of their theurgic affinity.
They also gain the 1st level domain power as if they were a cleric of equal level.
This replaces the arcanist exploits gained at 1st and 10th level. (Sabella has chosen War).
Fearsome Arcana (Ex): The arcane seeker may use their Wisdom modifier instead of their Charisma modifier when making Intimidate checks.
Magical Expression: Respect for the divine is a form of magic, and faith in you is a part of your power. Allies who can see you and are aware of your abilities are considered in range of your legendary sorcerer spells (including spells with a range of touch), if they want to be.
Soul Shield (Su): As the legendary sorcerer learns to tap into their magical powers, their power affirms their reality, making them harder to hurt, as if their body were more real than the world around them. The legendary sorcerer receives a untyped bonus to AC equal to their Wisdom modifier or class level, whichever is lower. This bonus does not stack with any armor or shield bonuses they may receive, or with any other effect that adds your Wisdom bonus to your AC. This bonus applies to touch attacks and even while the legendary sorcerer is flatfooted or otherwise denied your Dexterity bonus.
Symbols of Power: A theurge can use divine foci as material components as a cleric would to replace the material components of some spells. They may also benefit from any special properties a divine focus they are using possesses.
Theurgic Reservoir: All of the theurge’s class abilities, including their arcane reservoir and all of their exploits, use Wisdom in place of Charisma.
