About Kyrana Lashaal

*Descended from (former) Galtish nobility who fled their homeland to the River Kingdoms after the Revolution.
*Desperate to regain their former status (via wealth and fame) her parents made a foolish attempt at sneaking into Mosswater to recover treasure. They barely escaped alive, only to be caught up in a Razmiran raid in 4688. Had Lady Lashaal not prematurely given birth to Kyrana they likely would have escaped the raid.
*Her parents were buried alive by the Razmiran raid for insulting the worship of Razmir and Kyrana was raised by the cult. Since magic is known to run on her elven mother's side she was taught the basics of wizardry. The cult let her know of her family's history and its 'blasphemy' was used to shame her for many years until she finally broke free of the brain washing and escaped.
*Kyrana discovered the burial site of her parents and reburied them properly. She kept her mother's ring, a symbol of the Lashaals' nobility in Galt given to her on her wedding day by Lord Lashaal.
*On her own she spent several years between Thornkeep and Daggermark, making a living buying and selling information on the black market as she tried to learn what she could about her family's history.
*It often appears as if she has been touched by fey influence (taking pity on her for her parents), though she will never acknowledge it.

*Her main reason for joining the Pathfinder Society is to learn useful secrets, particularly those related to nobility. Her interests are never academic - she is entirely a pragmatist when it comes to knowledge. The Sovereign Court's focus on nobility drew her attention and she hopes her involvement with it can lead to the opportunity to regain her family's status. A formal writ of nobility is her main goal at the moment. She knows that becoming nobility in Galt is not particularly safe, so she hopes for nobility in either the River Kingdoms or Taldor.
*She is tough to the core and harsh realities never faze her. However, she is prone to losing her temper and acting rashly, even when she knows it's not the smartest decision. Lower class individuals acting in boorish ways is her pet peeve.
*Kyrana is not above manipulating others in unethical ways. She has convinced herself of the value of bloodlines and wants to show that her noble heritage is more than just a lost title.
