I was raised in Kaer Maga in varisia, with my only my mother. We spent the long nights together, where she tought me how to cook, and about the various knowings of golarion. When I became 14 years of age, I began to have terrible nightmares of undead creatures, locked in battle with knights and soldiers, and of a particularly powerful undead wizard slaughtering uncountable amounts of people with his arcane energy. Finally one day I was running from a neighborhood bully, and somehow willed a rock at him. The stone just picked up in flight and hit him square in the head. When I returned home, I asked my mother about the stone and the nightmares. Tears rolled down her eyes when she told me a family story. During the shinning crusade against the whispering tyrant Tar-Baphon, a wizard of my family betrayed the people of a city in Ustalav to the whispering tyrant in exchange for undeath. But before receiving lichdom, the wizard was able to sire children, and so the taint of undeath has continued down my families line, ocassionally manifesting itself. A few years later after honing my spellcraft, I discovered i could to more than just toss a rock. i could keep ghosts away, which helped with late nights at the cemetary, i could make things shine like a torch, and could even will my mark, a cackling skull, to etch itself onto things. my favorite tricks so fare are to make my weapons better, send out rays that weaken someone to the point they'll keel over, touch things to make them cold, and even make things grow bigger than they were( accidentally tried it on a rat once. will not be doing that again.) decided to see if there were any others like me, who had the same undead ancestry. with a kiss on the cheek and a promise to write, i told my mother i had to leave, and see if i could find others like me. after almost a year of traveling on the road, the cackling skull had become famous, as a symbol of secrets discovered, and the black humor that followed. sometimes when you discover things that are really.....dark, all you can do is laugh. not my fault if someone heard me. thankfully, my face and identity have remained secrets behind a black hood, and the nearest crowd. i don't think people would like to know that i had broken into their libraries, or disturbed their research in a thassilonian ruin. eventually My search had taken me to Sandpoint, where I was told another sorcerer like me resided, a man named Drake coincaller. but unfortunately, the man I was looking for had long since left the town, some say heading north. and as luck would have it, the last of my money and supplies has almost dwindled out. i was able to find refuge in a tavern called the Rusty Dragon, where the owner told me that if i could tell her a tale of adventure, she'd let me stay for free. i told her the various misadventures of the Cackling Skull(whoever that may be....) and she decided they were entertaining enough to get me a room. Having fallen on somewhat hard times, I’ll seek employment and any monetary gains i can. first i'll pay Aimeko back and pay for a room a few days in advance, then see if this guy working here named Lou has any idea where to go from here. That is of course, unless fate has other plans.
