About Korvek

Appearance:

As dwarves go, Korvek is a rather sizable one who stands taller than most of his kin. Built thick and primarily muscle, this fighter is rarely seen without his brutal greataxe or his sturdy full-plate. Thick red hair is kept short, thick beard resting freely on a broad chest. His face is rough, and a nasty scar crosses where his left eye once was, the ruined socket covered with a leather eyepatch.

Personality:

Indifferent of laws and regulations, he instead concerns himself with doing what he considers to be the right thing. Generally jovial and polite. A patient dwarf, very few have witnessed his fury; those who have wisely choose to stay on his good side.

Background:

Korvek hails from the foothills of the Mindspin Mountains, specifically the fortress-like town of Janderhoff. The son of Torgid Maidich, a proud wall warden, Korvek has always suffered from a wanderlust which betrayed his fathers hope of following in his footsteps. The young dwarf had yet to find his niche in the world, and pacing the relative quiet of the strong walls would never help him find it. Korveks first trek out into the world, unfortunately, was ill-fated. A goblin raid on the caravan he travelled with resulted in the normally confident and sure dwarf returning home with his head hung in disgust and his left eye ruined.

Years have passed, and word has reached Janderhoff of the goblin troubles in Sandpoint. Without hesitation Korvek packs his gear and prepares to travel. He has learned his lessons. He has grown. He is ready. He doubts these goblins have any relation to those who robbed him of his eye, but they're goblin raiders all the same. The fire of determination burns in his one good eye.
