---===: Special Abilities :===---:

Channel Energy (Su) Type: Good
DC: DC 12 Will
Amount: 1d6
Frequency: 4/day
Channeling energy causes a burst that affects all creatures of one type (either undead or living) in a 30-foot radius centered on the cleric. The amount of damage dealt or healed is equal to 1d6 points of damage plus 1d6 points of damage for every two cleric levels beyond 1st (2d6 at 3rd, 3d6 at 5th, and so on). Creatures that take damage from channeled energy receive a Will save to halve the damage. The DC of this save is equal to 10 + 1/2 the cleric’s level + the cleric’s Charisma modifier. Creatures healed by channel energy cannot exceed their maximum hit point total—all excess healing is lost. A cleric may channel energy a number of times per day equal to 3 + her Charisma modifier. This is a standard action that does not provoke an attack of opportunity. A cleric can choose whether or not to include herself in this effect.
Gentle Rest (Sp) Your touch can fill a creature with lethargy, causing a living creature to become staggered for 1 round as a melee touch attack. If you touch a staggered living creature, that creature falls asleep for 1 round instead. Undead creatures touched are staggered for a number of rounds equal to your Wisdom modifier. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier.
Gifted Linguist (Ex) Tengus gain a +4 racial bonus on Linguistics checks, and learn 2 languages each time they gain a rank in Linguistics rather than 1 language.
Natural Weapons (Ex) A tengu has a bite attack that deals 1d3 points of damage.
Recall (Su) With a touch, you can cause a creature to recall some bit of forgotten lore or information. The creature can retry any Knowledge skill check it has made within the past minute, gaining an insight bonus on the check equal to your Wisdom modifier. You can use this ability a number times per day equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier.
Senses (Ex) Tengus have low-light vision allowing them to see twice as far as humans in conditions of dim light.
Spontaneous Casting Clerics can channel stored spell energy into healing spells that she did not prepare ahead of time. The cleric can “lose” any prepared spell that is not an orison or domain spell in order to cast any cure spell of the same spell level or lower (a cure spell is any spell with “cure” in its name).
Swordtrained (Ex) Tengus are trained from birth in swordplay, and as a result are automatically proficient with sword-like weapons.

---===: Backstory :===---:

Age 0: “I know I’m in labor, just chase down those merchants!” She said in possibly the most calm tone one can possibly say such words.

---===: Background Questions :===---:

1. What is your character’s name?
Koga Davant
2. How old is your character?
23 years old, though at first glance he looks older and he probably won’t tell you that. Honestly some people aren’t even sure if he knows how old he is.
3. What would somebody see at first glance (i.e. height, weight, skin color, eye color, hair color, physique, race, and visible equipment)?
Dark cloak, hunched figure, the glint of a golden ring and two dark eyes from within a deep hood. Very slightly built, gray skin with a large white staff (see hero forge link for more)
4. What additional attributes would be noticed upon meeting the character (i.e. Speech, mannerisms)?
He clicks his beak as a bit of a nervous vocal tic, especially when stressed
5. Where was your character born? Where were you raised? By who?
The Shackles, on the ship of his mother, who was a pirate Free Captain.
6. Who are your parents? Are they alive? What do they do for a living?
My Mother was a Shackles Pirate Captain as previously said, she was killed leading a boarding party. My father was a deserted Cheliax navy crew member who was part of my mother’s crew. After the crew dissolved we moved back to Cheliax.
7. Do you have any other family or friends?
No siblings or family, and no friends here, though a few still in the Shackles.
8. What is your character’s marital status? Kids?
Unmarried, no kids.
9. What is your character’s alignment?
Lawful Neutral
10. What is your character’s moral code?
Don’t take credit for things, maintain neutrality, preserve history, aid those who are depressed. Very aligned with his god.
11. Does your character have goals?
I’d say that he’s still sort of in a depressive funk from the death of his mother (even though it was 6 years ago), but in general work for his god at this point, both his turn to religion and the inspiration of the rebellion have helped him start to come out of his shell again more.
12. Is your character religious?
Very (I’m a cleric)
13. What are your character’s personal beliefs?
Basically similar to moral code.
14. Does your character have any personality quirks (i.e. anti-social, arrogant, optimistic, paranoid)?
Generally anxious/nervous.
15. Why does your character adventure? Why would you join the rebellion?
Normally he wouldn’t; one of the tenets of his god is remaining neutral. However, the way in which the current government has been covering up history means he has been moved to action.
16. How does your character view his/her role as an adventurer?
I don’t really think he considers himself one, at least not yet.
17. Does your character have any distinguishing marks (birth-marks, scars, deformities)?
Piercings count? If so, a few.
18. How does your character get along with others?
Pretty well, kind of a timid people pleaser and tries to stay neutral.
19. Is there anything that your character hates?
Death, and the people actively trying to rewrite history.
20. Is there anything that your character fears?
Death again probably.
