Klo gives the woman one last lingering look, but Korum's efforts draws the big man's attention. He squeezes his eyes shut for a moment, listening to the half-orc's calming words, then the energy goes out of him. The end of the club clunks to the ground as he sags against the wall. "Yah," he says weakly, not meeting anyone's eyes, "a drink."

Not trying to scene-steal with Klo on that last post, folks. I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to reveal a bit more about his inner bestial nature. Don't feel like you need to let that dictate what happens with our quarry. :)

The woman surrenders ... and Klo’s violence-bent visage doesn’t change one bit. He takes a menacing step forward, his eyes murderous. He takes a second step, his teeth bared in a savage snarl. His augmented club rises into the air, ready to strike. He takes a third step — … and finally his momentum stalls. Uncertainty creeps in and colors—then slightly diminishes — his rage. His dark eyes, still suspicious, cast about the gathered pathfinders, as if wondering why they’ve stopped. Still taking deep, ragged, adrenaline-filled breaths, he lowers his club. The knuckles of both hands — fingers still wrapped around the club’s handle — remain white with strain. Tendons and blood vessels stand out on his arms and neck. Some core piece of Klo's true nature is fully revealed ... a wild animal stands in your midst. He holds his ground, casting hungry eyes at his prey one moment, then unsure glances at his teammates the next. (A little flavor/character development, as well as laying some ground-work for taking his level of Barbarian. Not trying to undercut the group's attempts to resolve this bloodlessly.)

Will DC15: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24 Klo roars as he throws off the woman's mental assault, and the big man sees red. He spins on the nearest threat, slamming his augmented club down onto the demon-thing's head in a brain-splatteringly-powerful attack. KLO SMASH! (the little demon-thing)

Klo begins a low, building chant, each guttural phrase accentuated with a strike of his club on the floor at their feet. Each strike sounds heavier, harder, and the club grows in his hand, becoming a dangerous-looking weapon of wicked-looking thorns. As he chants, he moves into the room, putting himself between the woman and his teammates. Cast Shillelagh on his club and move into the room.

Klo lumbers up to the final doorway, getting ready to move in without being in everyone's way. On a hunch, he draws a long, heavy wooden club from his leathers, gripping it in his meaty left hand. "Ready," he mutters quietly.

I'm generally looking forward to PF 2E. I've enjoyed 1E, but my only usage of it in the last year has been on the boards (and it's been pretty limited, at that). I guess with that limited level of investment, I'm just interested to see where the game will go next.

Yah, after much thought — and a few crits — I think i'm going to have Klo stick with his trusty spear. It's just so thematic for him at this point, even if it's just straight up crazy inferior to a greatsword or falchion. :D I'll just bank on high strength + rage + power attack to make sure his damage output is good enough.

’BONES THAT WALK!” yells the big Shoanti as he muscles his way into the fray. Finally stepping into range of the nearest skeleton, Klo jams his spear downward in a terrible, mighty, two-handed thrust. Move into position (likely provoking an AoO from Purple), then attack Purple skeleton

Klo gives Korum a hesitant thumbs up. "Um. Good hit." He lumbers in, eyeing the slits in the wall uncomfortably as he moves towards the room's far exit. On the way by, he shrugs at the crossbow bolts, but will happily bundle up whatever items the group chooses to loot and stuffs them an extra sack inside his backpack. As always, he's happy to carry the loot ... cause, ya know, it makes him useful. :D

I’m going to assume Enlarge Person has lapsed. Secondly, Klo has been marching along near (or at) the back of the group this whole time, so its a safe assumption he’s doing the same thing here. From his position near the back of the group, Klo stops when the group momentarily halts. ”What’s happening?” Klo will Delay until we get a better feel for what’s going on. Also, are we coming from the right side of the map again? I assume so, but wanted to verify.

If Klo is relieved from having to hold the gate/door open... The big Shoanti gives a confused look at Shaya, then Korum. Then understanding (slowly) dawns, and his deeply tanned cheeks flush crimson. "What? No ... I ... um ..." He sputters for a few moments, struggling to find any kind of response. Then Klo surrenders to his own embarrassment at the attention, retreating into an even deeper state of shyness than is usual (which is saying something). He picks up his spear, avoids eye contact, steps off to the side, and waits for whatever the group decides to do next.

Klo passes the creature as it smacks ineffectually against the elf's shield, risking retaliation to get into striking position. Then he jams his spear down at its thick, shapeless body. Move forward, provoking an AoO from movement if it threatens. Then STAB IT (the spear is just a regular masterwork spear).

Klo recoils from the rumble, shielding his head from another blast of flame. Hesitantly, he looks at the wall, and is clearly as surprised at anyone else that his idea worked. He gives a big, dumb grin of excitement ... even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while. After a moment, he squints into the darkness, holding his spear forward for light. "So ... we go down?" ”AAAH!” Klo yells as he stumbles back, covering his face ineffectually from the flames. After peaking reluctantly out from his sheltering forearms, he looks at the group, ”Dat didn’t work.” He scratches his bald, still-smoking head with one thick finger. ”Maybe da woman we follow is da girl?” He holds the girl piece at the top spot. ”And she wants ta use da demon to control Absalom?” He holds the city towards the bottom, leaving the demon for the mid-slot. Hoping to be helpful, Klo steps forward and picks up teh three 'toys'. The big man is swayed by Korum's confidence, so he slides the devil into the top, the city into the middle, and the girl into the bottom.

A few moments later, Klo's own spear-tip catches fire with a heatless, spirit flame. He takes up a position towards the back of the group, squinting into the room. Klo leaves his spear buried in the bad guy’s gut to kneel down over the fallen Yargul. He whispers words that seem to reverberate in the air, and when he jams two thick fingers into the stab wound on Yargul’s skin, the elf’s body jolts for a moment, then calms. Cast Stabilize on Yargul. After a second to make sure the power worked, he looks up at the group, ”Anybody got da healing stick?” Kul’Amon didn’t have the only CLW wand, did he?

Klo shoulders his spear, which THOKS against his dragon scale armor. He gives Korum a thumbs up and points to the door. ”Shout and we come break dat door down, yuh?” Klo will get as close as possible without having to cross any open ground. From their remote position (wherever folks think is smart for us to be watching from) Klo tries to watch their surroundings for signs that this place has lookouts or something.
