About Kjolmar Greyhelm

Background: Ever since he was a wee dwarfling, Kjolmar was a bit off. While the other dwarves were content to stay in the mountains, far from the dragons, this didn't seem enough for him. He knew that dragons had lots of money, and so he wanted to take it. As a child, he would stab at the soup kitchen stew pots with his spoon, pretending to slay a dragon and lay claim to its wealth. He would be told that he was absurd, that none could slay a dragon and he was stupid for even thinking of it. But these comments only fueled his desire, only caused him to want to prove them wrong. As he matured, his desire for dragon gold did not diminish in the slightest. It wasn't just about the money; now he wanted to be able to claim the fame that comes with being the first dwarf who ever killed a dragon. He learned to fight, to aim for an enemy's vitals and to keep moving. And on his 50th birthday, he set out from his home in the mountains. He spent much of the 1st year learning to live on his own in the wild, to hunt and avoid being hunted. After a few misadventures, Kjolmar now finds himself trapped by a draconic slave caravan, yet doesn't feel deterred by this. After all, they're probably bringing him right where he wants to go.
