About Khepri Chitin
Alt. Racial Characteristics:
Academician-replaces Obsessive
Warden of Nature-replaces Hatred and Defensive Training
Character Traits:
Honey Harvester- Your frequent exposure to bees—and their stings—makes all such creatures seem more like nuisances than actual threats. You gain DR 3/— against damage dealt by swarms and a +1 trait bonus on saving throws against distraction and poison from swarms.
(Potential Trait if Drawback taken)
Vermin Wrangler(Gnome)- You have become intimately familiar with the desert's many-legged pests.
Benefit(s): You gain a +2 trait bonus on Knowledge (dungeoneering) checks to identify vermin and on saving throws against vermin's extraordinary abilities.
Necropolis Native- You gain a +2 trait bonus on saves against fear effects. In addition, your knowledge of the city grants you a +1 trait bonus on Knowledge (local) checks, and that skill is always a class skill for you.
Feats:
Vermin Heart-You have a special bond with things that creep, crawl, skitter, and sting.
Prerequisite: Wild empathy class feature.
Benefit: You may target vermin with spells and special abilities that only affect animals (although they are still affected by spells targeting vermin as well). You may use wild empathy to influence vermin as easily as you influence animals.
BACKGROUND
1. Visual description of character: I think the profile is close enough. Deeply tanned gnome with BRIGHT turquoise eyes and orange/gold hair. Dressed in simple Osirion fashion.
2. Why do you care about tomb exploring? Why risk death at the hands of ancient traps or untold horrors buried away? Isn't there an easier way for your character to make a living? Is it just greed for gold or something else? Curiosity mostly, to get to go where noone has tread for ages and see how the wildlife has fared during that time.
3. Brief history as to how you heard about lottery and came to be in Wati
Native of Wati, will probably take the local campaign trait. He's snuck around the grave city before, though he did find a freshly molted beetle on one of his excursions, he never got very far. An opportunity to do so would be most stimulating. He's offered his services as guide to several parties.
