Thanks,we have always played using the "threatened area" instead "square" XD this make some tactics and feats MORE usefull XD
Hi,i wanted to ask some clarifications about AoP,movements etc
Example:
if a fighter with a sword charge something with, lets say, 3 square of reach
he provoke AoP for leaving that 2 threatened squares? or only normal movements count?

that too,but normally, that "force of will" bleeding, and bleed immunity how work from rules?i just cant use it?
GM Bold Strider wrote: How would you have Oracle 20 with any Holy Vindicator levels? 20 oracle,5 paladin,3 holy vindicator.

fast question/clarification,as a life oracle 20 (becomes immune to bleed),with some levels at holy vindicator,i cant use the stigmata power?
Stigmata:
A vindicator willingly gives his blood in service to his faith, and is marked by scarified wounds appropriate to his deity. At 2nd level, he may stop or start the flow of blood by force of will as a standard action; at 6th level it becomes a move action, and at 10th level it becomes a swift action. Activating stigmata causes bleed damage equal to half the vindicator’s class level, and this bleed damage is not halted by curative magic. While the stigmata are bleeding, the vindicator gains a sacred bonus (if he channels positive energy) or profane bonus (if he channels negative energy) equal to half his class level. Each time he activates his stigmata, the vindicator decides if the bonus applies to attack rolls, weapon damage rolls, Armor Class, caster level checks, or saving throws; to change what the bonus applies to, the vindicator must deactivate and reactivate his stigmata. While his stigmata are bleeding, the vindicator ignores blood drain and bleed damage from any other source and can use bleed or stabilize at will as a standard action.

Title say everything,i have found this feat reading this forum, and before start another long discussion with master and player,i want to ask:
if i apply Extend Spell to my druid with Summon nature ally 8,with augmenting summon (+4 str/cos) and have Spell perfection http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/general-feats/spell-perfection
my summoned creature (single for the 8,1d3 for 7th,1d4+1 for 6th) would get +8 str/cos?

Hello,we have a little discussion here about Shield Master feat.
Shield Master (Combat)
Your mastery of the shield allows you to fight with it without hindrance.
Prerequisites: Improved Shield Bash, Shield Proficiency, Shield Slam, Two-Weapon Fighting, base attack bonus +11.
Benefit: You do not suffer any penalties on attack rolls made with a shield while you are wielding another weapon. Add your shield’s enhancement bonus to attack and damage rolls made with the shield as if it were a weapon enhancement bonus.
The discussion start from the Faq:
Q: Does Shield Mastery remove the penalties for all attacks if you are using a non-shield weapon and a shield and two-weapon fighting? Or does it only remove the penalties for the shield attack?
A: Shield Mastery only removes the penalty for Two Weapon Fighting on the Shield Bash itself, it does not remove it for a non-Shield weapon in your other hand.
So for the question (we are from italy, and maybe was just a mistraduction or something like this):
Does Shield Master remove ALL the penalietes from the SHIELD BASH attack (TWF,Power Attack, etc etc,and keep them for the non-bash attacks), or just the penalietes from TWF from the BASH?
blackbloodtroll wrote: The sacrifice of feats is not worth it. yea,but with the 2 weapons, armor, belt, etc etc, 880k isnt enought for everything, and what i can get instead of those 3 feats?
blackbloodtroll wrote: Why are you taking craft feats?
How are you meeting the prerequisites for them without a caster level?
need alot of items for the build, and i have this one for craft as a fighter
blackbloodtroll wrote: Exotic Weapon Proficiency(Falcata)? yep
edited the build with it
blackbloodtroll wrote: What is the "competence falcata" feat? the feat for use weapon you normally cant use without malus, forgot how is called in english XD

free bullrush with shield attack,if no wall just move trough, and 12 damage each time, and armor spike damage on the first attack, high damage falcata critical, with a free action for another shield bash
how exactly work a defending weapon? i'm fighting with a falcata and a buckler with the bukler duelist archetype.
if i put defending on the falcata,,i can move the +5 as enchantment bonus on the shield, and with the bashing feats, make the shield +10 for that round?
i have already read that arcane strike may work with tiefling, but i ask for a discussion with a friend,he is not totally sure about it,and i link him this post XD
Does Arcane Strike prerequisite work wih Tiefling,or any other race that have only a spell-like ability ,and a character level 20 (like a 20 levels of Fighter) count as full caster level for the +5 damage?
any idea on something to change or optimize?

if i have done the right math.
plus a +1 anchoring battleaxe for the first attack when in open space (the bad thing abound shield slam with no walls XD)

also i'm thinking of make 1 level of zen archer for flurry of blows with the longbow, making 10 fight,9 ranger and 1 zen archer XD

damage: 1d8+34
i think to have done all the calculation in the right way

I am honest I am not sure how powerfull a eidolon is so that is why I am asking and yes she is the youngest but she is the best of the 4 and even the one most likly to become a power gamer both in this and in vidoe games.
eidolon is like the druid with an animal companion (the evoker) XD
i'd say to keep balance, keep the rule for the animal companion of the ranger, but instead of the animal, you have the eidolon as your ranger lvl -3
Wasum wrote: lol^^XD My exact reply after a night making her character ><
As I said, she started to play one and half year ago,the lol 25fighter was made from her alone, and we had take a break from campaign for now for some casual for fun games, but she changed for a rogue now,she have read all the bard and wanted to change the class XD plus we missing the barbarian,so I switched to a full armored dps
KainPen wrote: "things" XD without alot of focus,i got like +40 on intimidate, but after changed deadly stroke and later shatter defense,i have removed it. well, maybe i dump a bit of wis to pull up cha. and yea, maybe something for a ranged attack (already have an adaptive bow with seeking and endless ammunition from the first build) and that +5 damage on every weapon sound very good :P
KainPen wrote: eldrich heritage shadow requires at least 15 CHA. thanks, missed it,have made some changes in the late night xD
ok,removed shatter defense tree too, forgot now i have a full bab with better stats.
i can get greater cleave from ranger combat style without learn cleave?

Joshua Matherne wrote: don't waste your time on dazzing display or shatter defense they are not worth the feat and take 2 to 3 rounds to pull off. your not getting sneak attack so no need in doing those two at all. on the original build I would have did more fighter levels and did mobile fighter 11 levels or more then the rest Scout. eventual you can get sneak attack almost all the time. but even then sneak attack is not worth it. I noticed it when I play tested a Slayer. with a very similar build using a nodci. deep down Deadly stroke line really sucks. it take to long to pull off and by the time you do it, the fight is either over, and 1 point of con does absolutely nothing, you have to do 2 points for it to even do anything. Vital strike is better, and full attack is better then vital strike
blackbloodtroll is on the money.
i'm not focusing on dazzing display,i just combo shatter defense with the bonus dreadful carnage from ranger when we have to fight multiple enemies, having a very high intimidate, and for the 3 free feats slot,i was thinking on the 2 cleave and lunge (with the large from pauldrons) for some good extermination :3
ok,the bard girl have changed to rogue, and i have removed deadly stroke tree, but keeped the shatter defense one,and now i have 3 free slot, plus maybe a combo with guide ranger archetype
So,the new build looks like this:
STR 32
DEX 20
CON 20
INT 24
WIS 24
CHA 8
equip more or less the same
feats:
improved initiative
competence falcata
weapon focus falcata
dazzing display
skill focus stealth
Master Craftsman
craft wondrus item
craft weapon/armor
eldrich eritage shadow
eldrich eritage for the shadow lvl 9 ability
for fighter:
shatter defense
combat reflex
weapon specialization falcata
improved trip
felling smash
vital strike
ranger:
power attack
furios focus
dreadful carnage
attacks:
42/34*/29/24/19 critical 17-20x3 *with speed
damage: 3d6+51 / 6d6+51+trip with vital strike / 9d6+153 critical
if i use Juggernaut’s pauldron +2 damage and 1d6 more
if i'm correct
is better a vital strike tree instead deadly stroke, for start/single hit moment?
hmm or maybe is better to change deadly stroke tree in something better
like a free or swift intimidate (maybe area xD) check before dreadful carnage take effect
and, anything that can make deadly stroke more useful? over stunning assault, stunning critical and shatter defense? work as a standard move against a flat-footed or stunned enemy
blackbloodtroll wrote: Spells are nice, but some prefer spelless. It is a matter of taste.
Now, when I did this, I basically took information from this, and this thread, and combined the two.
It might not be your style, but it worked great for me.
What particular things are you looking to do?
What do you want to be good at?
i have to find trap, be sneaky, and i'm the main dps,as the other melee one is a barbarian that master another adventure for us,and we play this one when he cant come for now,the other are a gunslinger, bard, cleric and sorcerer. maybe we have a paladin (gm girlfriend, but i dont know what character she exactly use,and she is at the start)
Deadmanwalking wrote: Kevincondor wrote: what about 10/10, and fighter twohand archetype, with ranger 2H feats tree? Works, but loses out on skills.
Personally, I'd also argue Urban Ranger over Trapper. Spells are nice to have, especially Instant Enemy. If doing that, more Ranger and less Fighter is good. too bad urban cant fit in,we are death,in hell if i remember right (the game idea started some months ago xD)
so i dont think "hell" fit in a community XD
blackbloodtroll wrote: That's decent combo.
Oni-Spawn Tiefling is good for this.
and for the stat, are good like this(maybe the same dex-str after the onispawn, for the lose of armor training)
what about 10/10, and fighter twohand archetype, with ranger 2H feats tree?
blackbloodtroll wrote: Slayer is from Advanced Class Guide.
It is in playtest, and can be downloaded for free here.
dont know if master let me do it,we are only with core, advanced, the 2 ultimate and the iswg manual, but the fighter/guide-trapper ranger looks good on the paper :O
blackbloodtroll wrote: Trapper Ranger can disable magical traps.
No loss of BAB either.
btw what is the slayer? never seen it
oh yea,the high point/levels too (hide, intimidate, acrobatics, magic items, and some trick like this)
blackbloodtroll wrote: Dump Rogue levels.
Replace with Trapper Ranger, or Slayer levels.
slayer?
hmm right, ranger looks good too,i started as rogue when first making this character, and stiked to it,but for the ki pool and invisibility trick that come with ninja trik got with rogue talents, and because i'm the only one for the magical traps (offensive defense too xD)
any advice on this for make it a bit better maybe?

and when we start to play,i try to do the splat job with a rogue XD (i have posted the build in another post xD)
So she is aware how skill checks work, how Bardic Performance works, and how Spontaneous Spellcasters operate?
Then it's not a completely lost cause. yea she know some easy mechanics of the game, maybe isnt at our levels, that read everything from everywhere, and come from 3.5 (someone from 3.0 too),but she can play a character,if you make her one,and tell more or less what he do,what abilities have, etc etc (this for high levels)
in this 1,5 year we have played some other oneshot,or short adventures in the range of 5-15,sometimes with a pg made from us,sometimes from herself (i remember a dancing shadow of 14 made like 80% from her,and using it pretty good too).
and, finally thankyou, thats more or less what i needed, just a simple guideline on how to make this damn support bard XD
Wasum wrote: How old are you? No offense, just curious:) 28,and i work as kitchen helper like most of the days

CraziFuzzy wrote: If you don't need level 20, then seriously, play lower. You can't learn how to properly play any character at a high level. Even the fighter you mentioned was likely not played like a 'proper' level 25/30 fighter would have been. Just sounds far to video-gamey to jump right to those insane levels.
Of course, it is my opinion no one would ever adventure to the point of level 20, as they'd be lording over others to do the adventuring for them at that point.
I don't think you'll get much advice on 'building a level 20' anything, because most here would agree that you never 'build a level 20' anything. You grow it from lower levels over time, and it's experiences shape how it forms.
i know that,we just finished a 1-15 campaign after like 3 years (she play with us for one and half year),and thats why we just want a little fun break, doing some 3-5 sessiong games with strange builds or test character.
so i just try to make a random bard with what i find around T_T
is just for fill a role, isnt anything to keep for future things,or play hard
didnt say anything about being male or female xD btw the game is because we want to try some new character at high level,we dont play hardcore, and the masters are player friendly,we just play for fun some random games,so isnt really important for her being lvl 1 or level 20,if she need,we do a bit of meta and tell her some option or how some abilities work
lovecheese45 wrote: Exactly what Darksol says. It seems you want her to play a bard because it increases your ability to do damage. if she's played a fighter to 25/30... why do you need a whole level 20 bard built? this is another game, and she wanted a bard, plus she have to learn how to play better, thats all,and as i said,i never built a bard,so i dont want to make a mess,or go into strange character build,as i normally do >.<
