Background:
Raised in the vast Mwangi expanse among her tribes people, Kelisa had only heard stories about other races, most of them full of horror and violence. The stories all spoke of how the shorter races would chop and eat your legs, while the light skinned people would take your home and burn it for fun, laughing the whole time. So when a group of explorers stumbled into their tribes land, it was only by sheer luck the explorers were not killed on sight. The only saving grace was of this short leg eater, who the others obviously defered to, seemed somewhat more surprised to have found a village. Colewin Binderbook, instead of proving the story of the leg eaters true, befriended the village. Kelisa of course was entranced by this small creature, who told stories of vast cities where people did not know one another. Of course at this time she thought it was all just stories. It was not until a few months later when Colewin went to leave did he hand out proof. Some children got small daggers or other metal workings, but all she got was an old book of Shelyn. One that she still carries to this day, lost in the idea of seeing the world that her people had forgotten. The dark heart of the jungle was nothing compared to the excitement and danger she encountered on her way to met again with her childhood hero.
