I'am going to drop out of this campaign. I don't even know what is going because the posts are so spread out.

Kalvin retrieves his bow and stows his shield as well. "Cover me as I try to force open the gate." Kalvin searches the gate to see if there is a simple way to open the gate. If not he will try to force it open.

After a few tries if the gate does not give way Kalvin will pull out his greataxe.

"Aranmon what do you see? Kalvin whispers to the Elf.

"I don't see any way past it. We may have to try to force the gate or climb it." Kalvin looks to the others. ...not sure I like any of those options....

Kalvin stops when he sees the palisade and walks very slowly to the cliff to take cover. "Guess the wizard does not like visitors." Kalvin whispers when the others join him taking cover within the shadows of the canyon walls.

"Shi..Da..OO...ouch." The wind gust takes Kalvin of his feed and he rolls down the slope about 50 feet. "This is unnatural I tell you!" Kalvin picks his self up, dusts himself off and begins to collect any gear that might have fallen off during his little tumble. "Someone is have a lot fun messing with us. Foul sorcerer I bet!"

Was looking at he Hit Point Totals on everyone and they look a little low I believe we are all at full or should be.

"Come dwarf we are almost there! I can carry you if you need me too." Kalvin tries to hide a sly smile.

"Looks like someone is throwing there trash at us. Do these mountains have anything living in them?" Kalvin turns to Buvet.

"That is quite a sight! I have a rope to help if we need it. Let's get moving unless we want to sleep here." Kalvin readjusts his pack draws his bow with arrow notch and marches in the direction of the Peak of the Vernal Dawn.

"Is this the place the old Sage lives from that story we heard about in the Inn?" Kalvin scratches his head very confused.

"Can anyone of you cook frog legs? We have some fresh ones!" Kalvin get his camp gear out of his pack and cleans off the frogs blood that is all over him. "Man that frog bleed more then a big hog at slaughter. I'll never get that blood out of my pants."

While eating Kalvin listens to the other talk trying to follow the conversation. "So the teeth will let us control the Sturgimate thing? If so that sounds like a good idea to go and get them."

"Foul magic is afoot here!" Kalvin spits at the large toad then wades back out of the water.

"The cave looks like it has been flooded. Is this all of it?" turning toward Buvet.

Kalvin quickly steps forward and thrust his blade at the large frog.

"I'll take the lead, someone light a torch." Kalvin straps his shield to his left arm and readies a javelin. After a torch is lit Kalvin wades through the pool at the entrance to the cave.

After he meal Kalvin sits quietly by the fire sharpening his weapons.

"Good morning. That smells good." Kalvin walks over to the fire and grabs a piece of meat.

"I'll take middle watch. I am not sacred of the dark or what lurks within it." Kalvin settles in and is fast asleep.

"I say we find a fortified position to set camp for the night. I am still wounded and if the cave has more Gnolls it may be to much for us to handle." Kalvin moves around the ruin looking for a building to sleep in.

Kalvin gets up rubbing his wounds."Nice work dwarf. I can't even feel a scar. Should we track the last one? He might bring back friends." Kalvin stows his ax and pulls his bow out.

The gnolls both hit Kalvin with a 17 to hit. Kalvin is using his Great axe which means his AC = 17 (no shield) so Kalvin should be at -3 HP.

Kalvin moves to flank the Gnoll attacking the wizard.

Kalvin charges into the pack of Gnolls trying to cleave heads off the beasts with his greataxe.

Seeing the Gnolls emerge from the bushes Kalvin looses an arrow at the northern most Gnoll. "Guys we have company." After notifying the group of the gnolls, Kalvin lets another arrow fly from his shortbow. Not liking the feel of the bow in his hands he drops the weapon and draws his great axe, ready for the gnolls attack.

Drawing his shortbow Kalvin keep a wary eye out for any trouble. "Looks like we found at least one Gnoll."

"All right then, sounds like we have a plan let's get a move on daylight is wasting."

"I say we move toward Twiggy Down and see how far we get. The day is near half over already so we might only make it to the abandoned village before we have to rest. Anyone know why the village is abandoned?"

Kalvin mopes around the scene acting like he is doing something but really just irritated by his inability to wrap his mind around any of the clues. "Where to next?"

At the market Kalvin will search for weapons vendor that is selling a net and longspear.

"Well, since that is done I am going to make my way to the market to get some supplies." Kalvin turns to walk back toward the market square.

"Hey!! In the house I grew up in stealing food is grounds for wrestling match. Next time you might get a fork in the hand as well."
Kalvin gives Gerund a stern look with a smile creeping in at the end. "Let's pay are respects to the boy." Kalvin stands and adjusts his weapons. "I still need to get to the market for the additional weapons I want."

"Ah, that ham and eggs smell good. Can I get an ale is well to start the day off right and get my blood flowing." Kalvin digs into his meal eating very loudly and talking with his mouth full.

Turning to Aranmon "That is an idea but I think we should check out this cave first then the sages house...chew..chew... unless of course the house is closer or on the way...chew..chew... then we can just go by it on the way to the cave."

"I hope it is just stories as well. The Sturgimate sounds like a powerful enemy."

Seeing Gerund up and about, Kalvin follows the dwarf down to the tavern's common room. "If dwarfs are known for anything, it's their healthy appetite." Sitting down with Gerund at the table he waves at the barmaid. "Make that two."

Kalvin raises early and sharpens his weapons while waiting on the other to get out of bed.

"Whatever it is my ax is going to have a conversation with it and tell it to stop causing trouble." Kalvin will spend the rest of the night singing very badly and drinking with the locals.

"Great Buvet, we will see you early in the morning and we can ferret this Zafron out from his cave." Giving the dwarf a firm hand shake and a smile to seal the deal.

Giving Buvet a sly smile."So you are going with us, but we are just talking price huh? Well how about a equal share of the reward and treasure we may find along the way?"
