Duergar High Priest

Kagnin Alemaster - Helmed Lady's page

2 posts. Alias of Stormstrider.

I'm looking for 2 new players to join an ongoing Emerald Spire module. We already have 2 melee types & a witch. Need some utility and/or buffing spellcasting different from the witch. NO SUMMONER TYPES. PERIOD. Could also use a healer or trap-finder/lock-picker. Milestone leveling. Preferably players that have never played the Emerald Spire module, but not obligatory as long as you do not use any previous knowledge. Please see My Profile page for more details.

Campaign Page.

Starting at 5th Level, standard wealth, Full HP for 1st, roll in Discussion tab for HP per level, re-roll 1's ONE TIME. Two traits & one drawback. Background skills. Hero-lab characters are a plus.

Knowledge of Azlanti & Aquan language is recommended. We are just starting a level with water hazards, underwater passages, possible in-water fighting, etc, etc. Be prepared!

All choices to be approved by me (the DM = Stormstrider, aka 'The All-Seeing Eye') Anything not in the corebook, you should provide me a link to the info.

If I have cast Flaming Sphere or Aggressive Thundercloud and then move it behind a wall or other sight blocking things, on my next turn, am I still able to control its movement even though I no longer have a line of sight to the sphere or cloud?

If a character chose to jump into a pit, but failed his reflex save and gets impaled on 4 spikes, what are the rules about how to get off of those spikes and will he take more damage as he gets off of them? Help me please.

Just started a few months back running the Emerald Spire. Still on the first floor, but have lost our front-liner due to RL issues! We need at least one front-liner type and willing to take on one more besides, perhaps an arcane caster type? Maybe another healer type as well?
We currently have an Elf Inquisitor, an Aasimar oracle of life, a Werebat-kin Skinwalker (Bloodmarked) Witch, and a Dhampir Sniper Rogue. The Aasimar oracle/healer, is also an NPC run by the DM. If someone wants to replace him I'd be fine with that as well beside the other two I'm looking for!
I will not allow any type of summoning just because I'm a vary new DM and am not familiar enough with it to handle it and I don't want to cause any friction between DM and players. Friendly role-playing friction between players is fine. NO evil alignments.
For further details feel free to check out the campaign page. The recruitment tab will have all the info for character creation. You will also see many useful links at the top of the page to give you an idea of how I do things, plus a LOT of info on the campaign setting under the campaign tab. Please do NOT post anything there unless I have invited you to do so.
Darkvision is HIGHLY recommended!
If interested please submit a character concept to me on here and I will check it out. Depending on how many applications I get to see what I will do, but since this is an on ongoing campaign that is on pause waiting for this, I won't wait for long.
Any questions? Feel free to ask!

Can 'humanoid' target spells, be cast on an Eidolon?

Under the Summoner section, it states: "A summoner may cast spells on his eidolon even if the spells normally do not affect creatures of the eidolon’s type (outsider)."

But in this case the Eidolon is a quadruped beast. It definitely does NOT have the humanoid qualifications. One of my players is saying that since it says: "... normally do not affect creatures of the eidolon’s type (outsider)" then that means that any humanoid spell can be cast on it.

I tend to think that for a 'humanoid' target spell, the target still has to meet the humanoid qualifications. What do you all think please? Or is this clarified anywhere in the RAW?

Can a Witch, who can transform into a bat, use her hexes and spell-like abilities? her argument is that hexes & spell-like abilities do not require a verbal or somatic component. Also the magic page says SLA's are activated mentally, so my tendency is to say yes?

Feel free to discuss.

We are starting at level 1.

Max HP at 1st level & then roll your HD & re-roll one's one time.

Max GP for your class.

Stat Generation:
2d6+6 roll three sets of six, pick your favorite set.
I’m going to put an 18 limit on all stats BEFORE racial bonuses. So, yes, you could potentially start with a 20 in a stat, and I’m prepared to adjust the game accordingly.

Alignment:
As previously mentioned, no evil alignments will be accepted. Anything on the Chaotic/Neutral ~ Good spectrum is fine.

Races:
All - pending my approval after reading the info you send me in a link.

Classes:
There are just a few restrictions here. Obviously, because of alignment restrictions, no Antipaladins allowed. I’m also going to block the gunslinger, because: no guns. In addition I’m going to restrict the unchained classes. I’m not familiar enough with those unchained rules to mess with it at this time. Everything else is fair game. I’m also fine with any archetypes. Again, everything (and I do mean EVERYTHING!) is pending my approval once I read the info in the link you send me.

Two Traits and one Drawback:
I LOVE the Traits and Drawbacks for the purposes of creating a fully fleshed out character at inception. GM favor points (these are invisible and arbitrary “points” that may or not amount to any real in game benefit) available for anyone that uses the background generation rules to gain access to story traits! If you would prefer not to have your character have a Drawback, then you may instead choose to select only one Trait. Those that select two Traits, must also choose a drawback. Also! You may only select one trait that augments starting character wealth.

Posting Your Character:
Ultimately what I’d like to see is a complete character sheet for your character with an appropriate alias/avatar. In addition, I will require you use the Paizo: Race, Class, and Gender boxes to their full potential. In other words make tag lines just like you did for Mended's campaign & include a link to your character sheet in that tag line please.

I do believe that covers everything. If I remember something, or somebody points out something I missed (which happens pretty often actually) I’ll adjust the rules as necessary. As always, if at any time you have questions, don’t hesitate to ask, either here in the discussion thread, or just PM me. Looking forward to some great characters!

To make it a little easier, you should be able to copy these arrays from here, you'll just need to add the beginning bracket if I have this right.

I'm going to copy a LOT of what Mended said for his character generation. Giving him credit where it is due.
