I'm still here, just crazy busy. Been working extra hours, have to do over time on Saturday, hosting Christmas dinner for 30 people on Monday, still need to get the house cleaned up with three kids making a mess for every two I clean... It's hectic.

They didn't like us, because we wouldn't let them kill a cloud giant without proof of involvement with the war. They we're just indiscriminately killing every cloud giant they could find. Funny part is, if Jysson was in their shoes he would have done the exact same thing. Heck, he just did with a hill giant (that poor old girl we found alone in the tower). But beyond that, the leader of that dwarven group and Jysson got into an insult contest that didn't end with them on the best of terms. :) So when we saw them again and Jysson insulted them again, we all got into a fist fight.

Ya know, I didn't mean to get them kicked out. Just wanted to poke a little fun at them. Jysson heads outside to see if the dwarves are still around. If not, he'll just lean against the wall, maybe chew on a piece of straw. If so, he'll say, Hey. Come on back inside. Next few rounds on me.

Jysson takes a kidney punch and nearly doubles over, but he ducks behind a table and slides a chair into the dwarf who hit him before they can pile on him. Weaving around, he grabs a bottle and swings it at a dwarf's head, but at the last minute he "misses" and instead throws it at Molok! Slight of hand: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12 He grins to himself as he dives back into the fray, fists a-swinging.

I'd like to cast my vote for Yartar. I think having a bit of river adventure could help Jysson better connect with Urth and help ease their animosity.

While the others help destroy the damn, Jysson will help the halfling fellow they rescued collect some sheep for his farm. He'll also give his portion of the electrum pieces to the prisoners, split evenly. As far as magic items go, he'll only take them if the others in the group don't want them. While I as a player would like to have either one of those, Jysson isn't too concerned with material goods. So I'll let everyone else have the option first.

Still confused at Urth's response, Jysson asks, Why didn't you ask that about any of the humans? Does the barbarian get an automatic pass? Why target the half-elf?

Well, I'm glad to have you in my service, Snert. Jysson has Snert fetch his longbow from up in the rafters. Meanwhile, he dons his shield and flail. I'm ready. Let's release these prisoners.

Someone is still alive inside Guh! Jysson yells. He drops his bow and runs along the ramparts, jumping off onto Guh. He tries pulling apart the rolls of fat to see if he can remove whoever is stuck.

It helps to play smart. Also, aren't these Adventurers written for four PCs? We have 8, right? And everyone is going full Nova. Imagine doing all this at the end of yesterday. I'd still have some Hunters Mark left, but all our casters were out of spells.

There's a similar ability that's fairly self serving (rather than team oriented) in Starfinder, and we made the decision that if the call is made after the roll is known, then the ability is at 50% effectiveness. If it's made prior, then it gets full power. But SF is also a higher powered game. I don't think that solution would work well for 5e.

You need my games, I just let the bard make the decision even after they know the roll. It doesn't really hurt much, and only helps the party.

Jysson ducks out behind one of the curtains to try and follow the escaping hobgoblin. Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17 But, unfortunately, he's gone. So instead, he looks around to see who else is out here besides the dead body of a wyvern.

You're welcome. I'm Jysson. We're on a raid, trying to clear out this entire den of giants. Slow going. If you want to risk it, head out the way we came, and you can make your escape. Otherwise, stick with us until we head out.

Jysson climbs back down and looks around the shop. He looks for some cloth, pitch, and fire. Then he soaks the cloth in the pitch and wraps it around two different arrows. Is everyone ready for some war? We're right below the lookout tower. It's time to set it on fire from below, with their archers up there. He lights the two arrows on fire and walks outside. Then he fires them up to the bottom of the lookout tower. Arrow: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15 Arrow: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17 Naturally, if anyone objects or stops him, he won't fire into the tower. Arrows 18/20

Jysson follows Urth's suggestion and heads up the ladder while the rest of the team scavenges. Stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21 Jysson doesn't need any new weapons or armor, but he will replenish his arrows if he can.

Jysson will return and report what he saw. After that, if everyone is going to rest, he'll spend the next several hours keeping watch. He only needs four hours of rest to get his long rest.

While they're doing what Jysson considers useless interrogation (after all, it's never worked for him), he decides to do some scouting for himself. Molok provides the distraction needed, and Jysson skirts the compound to see what he can learn. Stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23 Note, he can travel at full speed while stealthing if he's alone.

Ok, while everyone else is interrogating the walking dead hobgoblin, Jysson will head out and see if he can save the mage. If he's alive, then upcast Cure Wounds using a level 2 slot. He'll also forego the short rest; he doesn't need it. If he saves him, he'll bring him back to the group. If he can't, then Jysson will stay out and keep hidden, keeping watch.

Uhh.. giants have always been in these parts. And they always been a problem; f&@#ers killed my whole tribe. But now they acting up 'cause of the Ordning. Their whole caste system is all f!&~ed up and some of those a bit lower on the scales are trying to prove they're better than those higher up. That's why they're using the orcs and hobs. Ain't nothing more than that. Seeing Urth take the armor, he says, Um.. You seriously gunna wear that? A fur covered flea-ridden hobgoblin has been sweating in it for who knows how long. And it's covered in blood and dents.

Jysson collects any intact arrows and adds them to his quiver. Book says I get half my fired arrows back. I think that's 3 for this battle, plus any unbroken ones the orcs just shot at us. 11/20 Arrows
