Following in the tradition of his family, Jovan and his brothers trained to serve in the merchant guard. Upon impressing a Pathfinder on a mission, Jovan and his brothers were offered field commissions in the Society, which his eldest brother, Dovan, accepted. Jovan, however, initially declined.
Months later, Jovan lost contact with his brother. Soon thereafter, rumors of Dovan's death in distant Absalom began to surface. It was then that Jovan sought out the Pathfinder and was able to gain a commission into the Society.
The identity of his brother's murderer is unknown and city politics seems to prevent further investigation. Unable to obtain the vengeance he seeks, Jovan has channeled his anger into his work. Though a competent Pathfinder, he presently remains dedicated to his merchant patrons in Qadira.

World Traveler: Jovan gains a +1 trait bonus on checks with the Knowledge (local) skill, and it is always a class skill for him.
Power Attack Jovan can choose to take a –2 penalty on all melee attack rolls and combat maneuver checks to gain a +4 bonus on all melee damage rolls. This bonus to damage is increased by half (+50%) if he is making an attack with a two-handed weapon, a one handed weapon using two hands, or a primary natural weapon that adds 1-1/2 times his Strength modifier on damage rolls. This bonus to damage is halved (–50%) if he is making an attack with an off-hand weapon or secondary natural weapon. When your base attack bonus reaches +8, and every 4 points thereafter, the penalty increases by –1 and the bonus to damage increases by +2. Jovan must choose to use this feat before making an attack roll, and its effects last until his next turn. The bonus damage does not apply to touch attacks or effects that do not deal hit point damage.
Cleave: As a standard action, Jovan can make a single attack at his full base attack bonus against a foe within reach. If he hits, Jovan deals damage normally and can make an additional attack (using his full base attack bonus) against a foe that is adjacent to the first and also within reach. He can only make one additional attack per round with this feat. When Jovan uses this feat, he takes a –2 penalty to his Armor Class until his next turn.
Weapon Expertise (great axe):
Weapon Focus: Jovan has extensive training in fighting with a longsword, granting him a +1 bonus on all attack rolls made with this weapon. This bonus has already been added to his stats.
Armor Check: Wulthur’s armor weighs him down when he attempts physical tasks. He takes a –6 penalty on skill checks with Dexterity- and Strength-based skills. This penalty is already included for the skills listed in his stat block.
