About Joel Jodin

(Character Created 12-12-14) As a mundane worker from the city of Absalom Joel Jodin led a relatively normal life, until he came upon an encounter that would change his life.

While walking the streets of Absalom he heard a noise in one of the alleyways. It was the sound of a kidnapping in progress. Joel immediately pulled his knife and jumped in to save the child but he was outmatched two to one against him.
He could barely stand after the beating he received at the hands of these criminals. He wished to whatever force would hear him that he had someone who could help him in this dire situation. Then out of nowhere standing before him was a strange creature. The creature howled an unnatural sound while claws emerged from from the palms of the creature's hands. Finally having the odds placed in his favor Joel called out the name "Otherland!" and the creature sprung into action. The fight was won and the child was saved as a result of the eidolon's intervention.

One thing he wondered after the fight is how did this creature come to him? Wishing to find this answer he joined the Pathfinder Society in hopes of finding out if the true nature of his new companion is innate to his very being, or if his eidolon was bestowed upon him by an outside force.

As far as his personality goes: Joel Jodin is not generally a social person, his only force of personality being symmetrical facial features and his generally intimidating and off-putting presence. He is also soft spoken leading most to believe that he may have little going on in his mind but this is not the case, he is always appraising a situation quietly, although he can be preoccupied with is own thoughts and miss what's going on around him at times. Thankfully his eidolon is always keeping watch for any danger that may threaten it's master.

No matter what answers he may find one thing is for sure: It will be a Bizarre Adventure!
