Vaguely remembering the invitation to go on the hunt from the previous day Jinn leaves the gathering hall to find the man who gave him the invitation. He believes the hunt to be a good wait to work out some of the anger he is now feeling.

I hate to say this, but I too am going to be leaving town, likely for nearly a week as I travel to Magnimar and request additional troops to aid us should we be attacked again, or in routing the tribe that launched this assault. Once the sheriff is done speaking Jinn says. "I'll do whats needed for the town but once you get back I'm going with you on the routing. Those goblins need to die all of them."
When the guard comes to collect him Jinn is asleep having only fallen asleep a few hours before dawn. Tauni his mother attempts to wake him. She tells him that the sheriff and the mayor would like to see him after what happened last night. After hearing this he says. "Leave me alone." Then turns around in bed and returns to sleep. His mother understanding his mood at the time dose not take offense to his rudeness and returns to the guard informing him that Jinn will not be seeing the mayor or the sheriff at this time. Having been woken by his mother it is impossible for Jinn to return to sleep. Every time he closes his eyes he sees the image of Lennas chard remains and he begins to imagine the goblins that killing her. This infuriates him and so in order to get his mind off away form the though of the goblins he decides to go see what the mayor and sheriff have planed hoping that they are putting together a hunting party to go after the goblins. As he leaves his home he sees the the gnome from the night before and nodes his head as a greeting not in the mood to say anything.
"Young man, is there someone who you can stay and you need to notify of the girl's ill fate? I'll walk with you if you need it.... Approaching slowly, the middle aged woman lowers down to a squat beside the two, reaching out to gently close Lenna's eyes. She looks up at the three near her, tears filling her own eyes at the loss. "I can take care of Lenna. It has been a tragic day for us all, you should rest, grieve." She glances to the other two, clearly implying that it may be easiest for Jinn if they guide him away from the body. "My hospice isn't much of a boarding house, but I know you two are new to town. If you have no other place, you may of course rest there for the night." As Hannah take Lenna Jinn grabs the ring he had given to Lenna then walks with the elf and gnome as they guide him home. Remembering the gnomes earlier remarks that he had simply ignored he says. "Hannah will likely tell her mother and I'll speak with her in the morning." He remains quite the rest of the short walk to his home. Ignoring his mother and father Jinn curls up in his bed staring at the ring until he falls asleep.
Hearing the gnomes call Jinn turns around and makes his way up the pile of wood seeing the body of the woman he loves in such a state his expression takes on a look of utter bewilderment. Falling to his knees he exclaim. "No!" And takes the body of his dead lover in his arms as he begins to weep.
With the goblins gone Jinn takes a deep breath to refocus his thoughts. He looks around at were he had left Lenna before the goblins had arrived not seeing her he joins the little gnome in the bucket brigade. Once the fires are down he turns his attention to finding Lenna once again while the little gnome begins going through a wagon.
Hearing the sounds of the watch and seeing the fear in the goblins demeanor Jinn takes two calming breaths and then begins to walk to where the biggest concentration of goblins is seeing the goblin engaged with Damia he lets fly an arrow in aid.
More concerned with saving his home form the goblins then the pride and wishes of the gnome he met in Hannah's Jinn lets loose another arrow at the goblin that just attacked the gnome.
Sorry the change in order confused me and I didn't realize I was up till I saw Dannie's post just now.
Frustrated by his earlier misses Jinn moves forward to get better shot at the Goblin leader then lets fly an arrow.
Frustrated with concern for Lenna mounting Jinn lets fly to arrows at the goblin leader.
Quickly grabbing arrows from his quiver Jinn lets fly two arrows at the Goblin standing on the barrel. Then takes a step in retreat from the advancing goblins.
Taking a moment to look for Lenna among the crowd but unable to see her Jinn draws his bow and lets loose an arrow at the goblin behind the barrel then moves forward thinking the sooner this goblin raid is over the sooner I can get to Lenna.
Confused and surprised by what he is hearing and seeing Jinn thoughts focus on Lenna. He looks towards where he left her but sees nothing.
Taking a moment to collect himself Jinn takes deep breath then says. "I'm sorry I barged in like that , I was caught up in the excitmen, its nothing life threatening she took a fall and has likely sprained her ankle possibly she broke here leg."
Butterflies in his stomach and thoughts flying through his head at twice the speed of sound Jinn looks at the woman he loves and he sees here step back and thinks. ... No! You fool you're moving too fast .... Then seeing here fall he jumps forward suddenly in an awkward attempt to brake her fall that likely only made the fall hurt more. He sees her rubbing here ankle and begins to bend down to examine it but before he can she says. "I... I think I sprained it. Can you run and get Hannah for me to see if she can help?" "Sure" he says in a tone full of apprehension he begins away. The butterflies in his belly begin again and uncertainty begins to creep into his mind but then feels something pulling at his trousers and he hears her say. "Hurry back to me, my love. I want to stand so I can look you in your eyes when you put this on my finger." The butterflies fall away and his thoughts shift form doubt and the smile of pure joy returns to his face. He bolts off from where the woman he loves is on a ecstatic run for Hannah's place with only the though of On her finger on his mind. To excited to remember his manures he barges on Hannah and her guests then says first under his breath. "on her finger." Then remembering why hes there he quickly says "Lenna's been hurt can you come and look at her" to Hannah in a calmer voice then would be expected from his behavior.

Taking Lenna's lead Jinn moves with her towards the wagons where they find a nice cozy place to embrace. Jinn enjoys the moment, but then suddenly be for anything gets to serious he pulls back from Lenna reaches in to his belt pouch and pulls out a small bag that he immediately hands to Lenna. Lenna presented with the unexpected gift is surprised but grateful and with a warm smile says. "For me thank you." She then opens the bag and pulls out a golden ring with a small (very small) diamond on top. Jinn looks at Lenna with a smile that gos from ear to ear eagerly awaiting her next words.
Jinn and Lenna had made plans the week before to spend the morning of the Swallowtail Festival together. They had agreed to spend the morning at the beach. It had been day since the two had found time to spend together hanging out and just enjoying each others company. So it was with a good humor and a ferocious appetite that they made there way through the crowd at the festival.
I've changed a couple of things about the character (age) and have added an out line for his back story. I've been busy getting things ready for an important interview I have coming up next week so I haven't had much time to right down in a more story like form my ideas for this character.
This is the character I'm planing to use for this please give him a once over I was rushing when I stated him up. I should have something for background tomorrow but I'll probably keep it simple for now. I'm going to be busier this week then I expected to be. |
