![]() Thank you. My internship is a development engineer with Zimmer Biomet, and the main project I'm going to be working on is researching the cause of abnormally low density in trabecular metal. In layman's terms, we're trying to figure out why the materials used in knee replacements aren't as strong as they're supposed to be. Although today I spent a good hour and a half smashing a hammer into a prototype to make sure it wouldn't break. The blisters on my hand are not happy with me. ![]()

![]() Sorry for the delays and absences in my posting. I have now completely moved into my new apartment and just went through orientation for my internship. It seems I will have a pretty normal 40 hour work week, a 9-5 job (eastern time) for Monday-Friday. So my posting will mostly be in the evenings and weekends, although I usually play with my local group on Sunday. Thanks for bearing with me through this time of change. ![]()

The wild one gives a savage, bloody grin and raises his sword. NO!!! Jietin lurches backwards like a drunk man and pants heavily, eyes going wide as he falls to a knee. He throws down his sword and sits back, staring down and taking deep breaths. ![]()

Jietin growls at all the wary looks. "I'm fine. That wasn't even hardly a scrap." I never raged this fight, so no worries :P Jietin is eyeing down the human when the explosion is heard. He growls and twists around. "We need to get back, now. See what's going on. I have the feeling we're not the only ones in a fight." ![]()

If that drops the skeleton... Jietin crouches and springs after the glowing blue undead, crossing the gap with terrifying speed and bringing up a sudden strike! ![]() Rescue Party: Jietin sees the flashes of red, but holds onto his composure for now. He feels the presence of his allies behind him, and trusts that they will handle the skirmishers on the edge that he leaves in his wake. He roars again, challenging the dead and living alike to face him as he charges in, rushing past the frontline to crash into the center of the fray, bringing down his brilliant black weapon on one of the skeletons. Movement will provoke from the skeleton that is farthest south unless the acrobatics succeeds. I've included a red arrow to show Jietin's path. Acrobatics: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8

But as he says that his ears twitch and he looks to where Tsakua is pointing. He draws his new black greatsword with a grim look and nods. "Aye, that's them. In battle too. Anybody that wants to be stealthy, break off and flank. Everybody else, behind me." Jietin gives the quiet members a few moments to get ahead, then takes in a deep breath. "RRAAAAAGGHHHH!!!" With a bloodcurdling war cry, Jietin charges directly at the fray. ![]()

![]() Rescue Party: Jietin follows along quietly, keeping an eye out for any unwanted attention as Pazeek tracks. As the sun starts to set, he frowns and looks back, then looks forward. "Either we abandon them to death to save our own hides, or we risk ours to save theirs. I'm not in the mood for leaving anyone behind, let's keep pushing. I'll track for this part, help me out."

![]() Sorry for the long absence of posting. You guys have been writing up a storm! As the battle ends, Jietin pants heavily, leaning on his greatsword and tossing his head to clear the last flickers of red. He nods wordlessly to Octavian's warning, keeping an eye out until they start leaving. As Octavian starts talking about working new metal into his blade, Jietin scoffs. "That ain't how metal works. Gotta put it in when you make it." All the same he hands over his weapon. Not that he understands what the hell is going on with magic anyways, so who is he to judge? He starts watching on his feet, but after ten minutes of hammering it appears this was going to take a while and finds a log. He sits down nearby, watching with curiosity but not really understanding what's going on. Eventually he starts drifting off and thinking about some of the places he's worked at. Where he has slaved and toiled away, the people he's met, the people he's hit, the times that he has struggled and bled and sweated... Octavian's call jumps him out of his daydreaming as he realizes the hammering has stopped. He stands with a dull grunt, stretching out his stiff legs. He looks at the blade with surprise, then awe. "Damn. If that ain't gorgeous..." He runs the blade up his hand. "Oi, shit!" He flicks the blood away and swears again, placing his cut flesh against his shirt. "Gods be damned that is sharp." He takes a few experimental chops with it, a grin spreading across his face. "It's heavier." He makes a vicious uppercut and grins. "I like heavy, hard to turn aside. Better at cutting through shields and guards." He puts the weapon on his back, wrapping up his hand in a torn bit of shirt. Then he makes eye contact with Octavian, a new respect and trust in his eyes. "Thank you...Octavian. It feels good to have a real weapon." ![]() Hello newcomers, good to have you aboard. Jietin is the big, ugly, scary front-line barbarian that smashes things in his way. He can lose himself in his rage too, so you might learn to keep your distance or get some calming techniques for when I finally fail one of the will saves ;) ![]()

Jietin may be a creature of pure rage and death, but he is also one of instinct, and raises his arms defensively to shrug off the explosion. As the thing he was attacking no longer stands there, Jietin looks around at all the movement. That one...no...yes...die...cut...death...no...that one... He shakes his head, looking like he's confused and angry at what just happened. He glares at some of the party for a moment, eyes red and angry. Then he shakes his head again and roars loudly, turning to the other golem and bringing down his greatsword upon it! Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (9) + 11 = 20

He roars and steps over, going into a mindless frenzy as he starts beating down the northernmost golem with his massive greatsword. Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25
Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (13) + 11 = 24
Strength score of 29. Sweet heavens above help them... I need to know the result of that action before I can post my next one.
