Animal Companion (Ex) At 1st level, a hunter forms a bond with an animal companion. A hunter may begin play with any of the animals on the druid list. This animal is a loyal companion that accompanies the hunter on her adventures. The hunter's effective druid level is equal to her hunter level. If a character receives an animal companion from more than one source, her effective druid levels stack for the purposes of determining the statistics and abilities of the companion. If a hunter releases her companion from service or her animal companion perishes, she may gain a new one by performing a ceremony requiring 24 uninterrupted hours of prayer in the environment where the sought companion typically lives. The animal companion can use skirmisher tricks when commanded, a number of times per day equal to half its Hit Dice plus its Wisdom modifier

Animal Focus (Su) You can take on the aspect of an animal as a swift action, gaining a bonus or special ability based on the type of animal emulated. The ability is usable 2 minutes per day. The animal companion gets a constant benefit.

Attached You have a strong emotional attachment to a person or object that you're terrified of losing. The GM chooses the object of your attachment. Whenever the object of your attachment is either threatened, in danger, or in someone else's possession, you take a -1 penalty on Will saves and a -2 penalty on saves against fear effects. If the person or object to which you're attached is ever lost, killed, or destroyed, exchange this drawback for the Doubt drawback.

Bonus Feat Humans select one extra feat at 1st level.

Fate's Favored The fates watch over you. Whenever you are under the effect of a luck bonus of any kind, that bonus increases by 1.

Local Ties (Disable Device) You have ties to a prominent local in the town of Torch�the missing wizard Khonnir Baine. If you're a wizard, alchemist, or other scholarly type, he may have been your tutor or teacher. If you're of a more martial bent, Khonnir could instead have been a friend or business associate of your mother, father, or patron. He may even have been your adoptive father, in which case you likely have a bond of friendship or rivalry with his adopted daughter Val (your GM has more information on her in this case if you wish to know more for your character's background). Your association with Khonnir has given you insight into how technology works. Choose Disable Device or Knowledge (engineering). You gain a +1 trait bonus on checks with this skill, and it is a class skill for you. In addition, you are treated as if you possessed the Technologist feat for the purposes of resolving checks associated with that skill. If you gain the Technologist feat, your trait bonus for the selected skill increases to +3.

Nature Training (Ex) Count as druid or ranger for feats, traits, and options that modify or improve an animal companion.

Orisons Hunters can prepare a number of orisons, or 0-level spells, each day, as noted on Table 1-6 under "Spells per Day." These spells are cast like any other spell, but they are not expended when cast and may be used again.

Precise Companion (Ex) At 2nd level, a hunter chooses either Precise Shot or Outflank as a bonus feat. She does not need to meet the prerequisites for this feat. If she chooses Outflank, she automatically grants this feat to her animal companion as well.

Skilled Humans gain an additional skill rank at first level and one additional rank whenever they gain a level.

Threatening Defender You know how to avoid a blow while still maintaining your offensive posture. When you use Combat Expertise, reduce the number you subtract from your melee attack rolls by 1.

Track (Ex) At 2nd level, a hunter adds half her level to Survival skill checks made to follow tracks.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency Hunters proficient with all simple and martial weapons and with light armor, medium armor, and shields (except tower shields).

Wild Empathy (Ex) At 1st level, a hunter can improve the initial attitude of an animal. This ability functions just like a Diplomacy check to improve the attitude of a person (see Chapter 4 of the Core Rulebook). The hunter rolls 1d20 and adds 2 (Hunter level + Charisma modifier + any other bonuses) to determine the wild empathy check result. The typical domestic animal has a starting attitude of indifferent, while wild animals are usually unfriendly.

Jasper has a younger brother that was taken away by the Technic League that he has not seen in 7 years. His father was killed in a fight with a cave bear while out checking his traps.

Continue learning about the technology of the Numerian countryside in order to find a way to break the Technic Leagues hold on his country.

Someone strong, who is comfortable in the wild as well as in cities. Someone loyal and intelligent and not afraid to get her hands dirty.

I would say it is better to be wealthy than poor but the amassing of wealth is not a primary focus of mine.

A necklace given to me by my mother before she died. Just a simple leather cord with a skymetal medallion with an unknown rune on it. She did not know what it meant.
