After finishing C2:Ward Failure, the scenario says the players receive a +1 striking scalpel.. I can't find any stats for a scalpel anywhere. Is this just a dagger?
Any word on if there will be sanctioning for pfs?

Is that just me?
On the day that your order ships, that result is perfectly normal for everyone. If they actually used UPS or UPS-MI to ship the package, the tracking link should work in a day or two.
But if they used USPS, the link will never work (and indeed should never have been set up).
Just a heads up, my orders ship USPS (I live 45 minutes from Paizo) the links for tracking work 90% of the time.
With that said, lately they have not been as reliable the last 3 or 4 months, but with that said, last month's tracking worked fine. So the usps links do work, except of course when they don't

162 mb! This book is a beast!
Uncle Teddy wrote: THIS IS RIDICULOUS - NO CONFIRMATION EMAIL AND I CONTACTED PAIZO THREE TIMES PLUS I POSTED ON THE GAMES ON TABLETOP WEBSITE AND NO RESPONSE FROM PAIZO. I CHECK MY ORDER AND IT'S PENDING BECAUSE PAIZO CLAIMS THEY CAN'T SHIP IT USING THE SELECTED METHOD (THAT THEY CHOSE). I TRY TO CHANGE THE METHOD AND IT DOESN'T SAVE BECAUSE THE SITE REFUSES TO RECOGNIZE I CHANGED THE SHIPPING METHOD! AND NOW IT'S FLAGGED AS CHANGING SHIPPING!
AND NO PDF CODES EITHER!
THERE IS NO REASON FOR THIS! PAIZO FIX THIS NOW! I HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO BE ANGRY!
I believe Paizo's customer support people are very understaffed at the moment. It sucks, and doesn't help you right now, but when they do get back to you, they will take care of you. Paizo has always been great about fixing mistakes on their end.
And if it makes you feel any better, it looks like no one else got their pdfs today either so you aren't missing out on anything yet anyway

That's happened to me a few times the last year also.
I've had more than once when my package arrived before tracking began working

I got one last week that it was pending but didnt get my actual shipped notice yet It was the shipping with tracking information. Ooh lucky!

Anyone have difficulties with the last boss fight on this one? I'm running this for a group and between the high AC and hardness, they seem incapable of hurting the boss. Perhaps I'm running Hardness incorrectly? Hardness 8 = take 8 dmg off any attack or magic correct? After three rounds, the party has only done about 6 dmg total to this boss and with their challenge points, the boss is supposed to have 115 hp. Yikes, I dont want this to end in a TPK. Any advice?
i demand pictures of people wearing the silly hat
Just to give you more details also,
I sent the same email through the kickstarter project page and received this ticket# also:
148309
And I emailed directly to Customer.support@paizo.com 2 minutes ago and got this ticket number from the auto response:
150833

Hi!
Our sincerest apologies, but I am not finding a ticket under that number or one from the email associated with your account. Could you please resubmit your request and we will take a look! Here is what I sent in before, I will resubmit via email again also
"Hi, I am a backer of the Kingmaker kickstarter. I went to Gamefound to update my address and found it was closed and I was unable to change my address. Also while I was there, the website showed I owed 93 cents.
I send an email to gameon to resolve both of these issues and they told me to email you directly as the pledge manager is closed. Can I update my address and pay the balance so I can get my game when it comes out?
Jason Luke"

Awesome, thank you so much!
Although I got a notice that this order was shipped, the tracking number does not work and I haven't received the shipment yet

The animal one just isnt there and the dragon one when you download it is the Starfinder character pack.
I submitted a request to Drivethru to fix it but I figured it should be known here as well
Just a follow up
Drivethru fixed the Dragon one. They sent me an email saying they fixed the Animal one but it is nowhere to be found on Drivethru RPG anymore

Also here is a weird bit of trivia
Horses are not present on the Isle of Kortos as the centaurs regard them as invaders and the harpies like to eat them, so most farmers, merchants, and nobles on the island use camels or axe beaks.[8] Rumor holds that there is a race of winged camels on the north end of the island, but these creatures must be exceedingly rare.[8]
Here's a great fan made map of Kortos if anyone wants a nice reference

According to the tracking, it should be with the post office, but since you've already spoken with them, I've set up a replacement order that we'll get shipped out to you ASAP. If the original order ends up showing up, you can refuse the delivery and the post office will be able to ship it back to us at no cost to you.
Fingers crossed that there are no problems with getting the replacement delivered!
I don't know if it's too late but you cancel #36497195. The original package finally just reappeared.
If the replacement already went out I will just refuse it.
Thanks again!
awesome thank you very much, i will double check with them next time i am there!
Post office didn't leave this at my house and when I went to the post office to pick it up, they were unable to find it.
It's been several days and they still havent found it yet, what should I do?
Hi,
My name is Jason Luke
I had tickets for Paizocon 2020 and planned on letting them roll over to this year but I will be unable to take part in this year’s events due to work. I am requesting a refund at this time.
I sent an email requesting this April 15th but haven't heard anything so I'm trying here now.
Thank you for your assistance
Jason Luke
also not showing up in the black friday sale

Thank you! You guys rock!
My last couple of orders should have put me at Paizo Advantage tier 2, but I am still only receiving the starfinder society scenarios. Am I missing something? I sent an email out about this a couple of weeks ago but saw the forums are caught up so I figured I would try here

I think the ability to react to whatever crazy ideas your players throw at you in an appropriate and fun manner is the best ability a GM can have

Hi all, I'm Jason from Seattle, WA. I used to play D&D back in the early 80's and then started playing Pathfinder about 3 years ago. I've been GMing on the Roll For Combat discord for the past couple of years and really enjoy it but am always ready to learn some new tips or techniques to improve my game!
Katina Davis wrote: Jasonomicon Ex Mortis wrote: I preordered these and just got my shipping notice. When will the pdf become available for download? Hey there! The preorder only includes the download if you have a Pathfinder Accessories subscription. If you just preordered the deck with no subscription, the PDF is a separate purchase. If you think there may have been an error, please contact our Customer Service team and they'll be happy to help you. Thanks! Ah, I see. That wasn't very clear in the blog post. Oh well, thanks for the quick reply though!

Bill Baldwin wrote: Why did the player choose to Power Attack another player anyway? Was he just being a jerk? No, I told the players they were surrounded by monsters, and then I just randomly assigned monsters to each character
Robert Hetherington wrote: Strike, as in the specific action on page 471, not any other action that might happen to generate a Strike, like Power Attack, or Penetrating Shot or Whirlwind Strike. Perfect, well done!
Doesn't change the death of the player but at least I know that for future reference!
Thanks
Robert Hetherington wrote: I don't think you can power attack while confused. -24 damage still gets you to 40 which is double 20 though. Hmm, that might be a possibility but it says nothing about that in the rules
"You use all your actions to Strike or cast offensive cantrips" I suppose that could be interpreted as only a strike, not a power attack..
**shrug**

ZomB wrote: Nils Janson wrote: ZomB wrote: Well the organized play FAQ says:
"Can I use the massive damage optional rule from the Core Rulebook in the Pathfinder Society Roleplaying Guild?
No, this rule is not legal for play."
But that has not been updated for PF2, so who knows.
Just rename the PC to Schrodinger for now.
But this clearly references the old optional rule.
The PF2 rule is not optional. Yup, but you are also not allowed to ignore PFS rules you don't agree with. The PFS rule is also not optional. Like I said Schrodinger. Except in the society primer it says,
"While we don’t advocate fudging die rolls, consider the experience of the players when deciding whether to use especially lethal tactics or if a character is in extreme danger of death, especially when the player is new to the game. Most players whose first experience in a campaign results in a character death don’t return to the campaign."
So in this circumstance maybe it is ok to ignore the pfs rules...
Still hoping the hero points could be the savior in this circumstance but will wait to see if anyone has any input on that part
Robert Hetherington wrote: As a note I'm also having trouble getting to 60 damage from a low level pick crit. Ok, well after you wrote this, I decided to dothe math and make sure it was right. I'll explain how I did it and see if we were wrong in our math
The first level fighter has 18 str and a great pick
D10+4 dmg
He chooses to do a power attack
2d10+4
Gets a crit, the great pick has the fatald12 trait so
2d12+4 +d12
And then double dmg for the crit
2(2d12+4)+d12
Heres where things get nasty, the fighter rolls 2 12's and then an 8 for the fatal bonus
So now we are at
2(24+4)+8
2(28)+8
56+8
64 total dmg at first level.
Actually 4 more dmg than the player thought...
Ugh

Just for further clarification:
** spoiler omitted **
Any ideas?
Sorry for the lack of spoiler tag!
One last thing, since they are now dead, can they use a hero point to save them from death? In the rule book it says
"Spend all your Hero Points (minimum 1) to avoid death. You can do this when your dying condition would increase. You lose the dying condition entirely and stabilize with 0 Hit Points. You don’t gain the wounded condition or increase its value from losing the dying condition in this way, but if you already had that condition, you don’t lose it or decrease its value."
It says when your dying condition would increase, but.. they never gained the dying condition, they skipped it entirely and went straight to dead.
Any thoughts?

Awesome, thanks for the reply!
One session I played in was credited to the wrong character. I checked the chronicle sheet and it had the wrong character number in it, so I might have given the GM the wrong number accidently. Is there a way to fix this, I tried to get a hold of the GM but havent been able to.
Got mine today, look great, although i got 2 john carters and no Tars Tarkas

Can anyone explain the purpose of Stalker's Shot to me? This is a reaction, you must be unseen, and the enemy must fail a check to detect you and then you get to shoot the enemy with a -2 penalty to hit. You then become visible to everyone. I have no idea what this is for, why not just take the shot without the penalty, with the exact same effect afterwards. I might not understand the action economy well enough yet to get this.. Can anyone please explain?
