Just thought I'd drop a line here and let people know that I just published a new game with Fat Goblin Games called vs. Moon Men! It uses the vs. M Engine designed by Philip J. Reed and pits the players against alien invaders from the Moon in an alternate 1970 (they didn't take kindly to the Apollo 11 mission)! It was really fun to write and we're trying to get the word out, so check it out here if you're interested! If it sells well, we've got a whole bunch of ideas for more content to publish over 2017 and maybe beyond!
Does anyone have experience printing out Paizo PDFs, specifically APs? I'm going to be running Reign of Winter and, well, finding volume 67 in print is next to impossible (for a reasonably price anyway) so I bought the PDF and I want to print it out. I was wondering if anybody had any pointers on how to do that without using so much toner. For one, I'm printing in B&W and, and while I'm leaning toward two pages to a sheet to save some space (and I'm only printing the adventure itself for now), if I could reduce the amount of toner put on the page (my printer's fuser can be finicky) that would be great. I prefer physical products for the table but, alas, that's not in the cards here, so if anybody who makes extensive use of the PDFs has any pointers, they'd be more than welcome!
My name is Jason, and I'd like to get a Pathfinder game together in Seattle. I'm currently running a very casual 5e game, and playing in a more regular 5e game, but I'd like to get some Pathfinder in there. I'm more than willing to run PF, though I'd also be happy joining a group as a player too. I don't have any particular campaign in mind or anything at the moment (or a schedule just yet). I'm mostly just testing the waters to see if there are any locals looking for a new game. If you're interested, please reply!
So I just picked up four modules during the Golem Sale that are set in Ustalav, Andoran, Cheliax, and Isger, all of which I'd like to run at some point. I'm gearing up to start a campaign in Golarion, and while working on my wishlist of things I'd like to do and how I'd like the campaign to work (logistically) I came to a realization: I have always wanted to run a campaign that can move freely about the world, but I've never actually done it. Back in 3.5 a lot of my campaigns fizzled out early on because I got bored with the region, but couldn't figure out a realistic way to move the campaign from one place to another to justify exotic locales. I love Golarion, and there's a lot of cool places that I'd like to make use of, so I want to run a game that makes use of those adventure spaces. What I'm thinking about now is how to go about moving the party from point A to point B quickly; although travel adventures can be fun, I don't really want to focus too much on the details of cross Avistan travel, primarily because I want to privilege the rule of cool when it conflicts with "realism." What kind of fast travel methods have you used in your own games, on either side of the screen? I don't mean methods for tracking how long travel takes or something, I mean how did you get your party from point A to point B quickly? Teleportation? Boats? Cool carriages? I think this is where games set in modern or future settings have an advantage because one adventure can cover Toledo, Tehran, and Tawau because airplanes. For that matter, what kind of fast travel methods would you like to see in Golarion? I know I would not in any way be angry about trains, for example. It dawns on me now that, since I own Photoshop, I could easily create maps of Golarion that indicate the party's travel with lines and arrows, like in Raiders of the Lost Arc, or The Emperor's New Groove. |
