Jamila's face brightens as an idea occurs to her. "Perhaps the Wysps may be of assistance here. They are the guardians of this place after all!" She motions for Krakos to hold for a moment. "Should this not work then we can try summoning help." She then turns her attention to the Air Wysp and opens a telepathic channel to it. Telepathic message: "Hello, I am Jamila? What is your name? Once it has responded, she will continue Do you know what caused the rift to open and how to seal the rift up?"
Jamila would do whatever would help here. I assumed all of the Wysps were cured here. If that is not the case then Jamila would try to purge the corruption from the Rift.
"Good job Krakos!" Jamila smiles, adding "Perhaps I can be of assistance here. While I am no spellcaster I do hold the elements of all the planes in my being. I should be able to lend my efforts here."
Jamila floats into range and swings her sword at the protean endangering Rhyol. ;

Jamila gently strokes the unconscious form of her hawk. Do not worry I will revive you shortly... She then sets her jaw at the protean before she raises her arms up and her form swells and grows to nearly double her size! Once done she hovers slowly towards the battle, drawing her enlarged sword as she flies towards it.
Jamila heart constricts as she sees her faithful companion fall to the ground lifeless. She calls out "I shall join you momentarily," as she takes out a potion and a green pill. Dropping the pill into the potion, it soon froths out into a cloud that enjulfs both her and Targos.
"Fascinating! Those runes on the circle represent the seven runelords of Thassilon, and that the one in the center represents evocation magic which is associated with the Runelord Alaznist!" As she studies the strange wysps further she gasps in realization. "These wysps have been corrupted by the powers of Chaos rather than their own natural elemental affinity, (and thus empowering those of primal Chaos). Perhaps they could be snapped out of whatever is influencing them, but barring that, the might need to be destroyed!" She points out the protean creature as the larger threat, drawing her bow and readying to fire. "I shall attempt to influence the wysps here. Concentrate upon the protean!'
"Target the dark cyclone in the middle!" Jamila cries out as she draws her bow. "This is merely a resonant effect of Ranginori’s power, and will not take damage from positive energy—instead, it takes damage from chaotic, earth, evil, fire, lawful, or water magic... or from the physical attacks of Ayrzul’s faithful!"

Jamila takes careful notice of each of the rooms explored so far, and her face lights up on seeing the library. "Ahh, perhaps this room will yield some answers."
Jamila hovers a few inches off the ground as she contemplates the meaning of the wall reliefs. "Ranginori, you say Zephyr?" She motions to the images in the other room. "And now Ranginori appears again, this time wreathed in an aura of lightning with an expression of fury. Very interesting. Could it be this Rift we have encountered is related to the former Duke of Thunder?" She nods decisively. "We must investigate further."
Jamila recalls little of the history of the tower, being occupied with other matters at the time. "Does anyone recall the origins of this tower?"
Jamila stares at the oscillating tower trying to make sense of it all. "This must be a place being affected by those currents we saw earlier." She looks over each of her team members briefly, finally focusing her gaze upon Octaris. "What do you make of this?"
Jamila is nearly thrown to her feet as she barely manages to avoid the falling rocks and other shards of debris only remembering her natural flying skills. I really did spend too much time masquerading as a human... "Krakos! Rhyol! Go after the supplies furthest from us!" She yells out as she grabs at some of the supplies nearby. "Shift the gravity to aid your speed!" Squinting against the lightning-streaked sky she screams "I...I see something off in the distance! It must be our destination!"
Jamila shakes her head at the oread in response. "I have already been granted what I need to perform my mission." She glances back at the quiver on her back. "Although perhaps some extra arrows would be a wise investment. Also, do not worry about buying any sustenance. I can provide for us who require it for the foreseeable future."
"I do understand your concerns, truly I do Captain. I will tell you all I know, or at least all that we have been able to conjecture so far..."
Jamila nods briskly, her tone all business. "Yes a pleasure to meet you Captain. I have heard you have a good reputation as Captain. As you can see I need passage for myself and my companions on a trip. The nature of the trip is not an easy one. There is a region of disturbed currents where the flows of air upon which they rely have become erratic. I have been tasked by my organization to determine why." She shows the Captain the letter of credit for their airship fare. "Should you have any concerns about the Concordance and the risks to the airship I shall answer them as best I can. I can also pledge myself and my team to the defense of your ship."
Jamilia offers a small sigh. "Very well. We shall pay Captain Sisivel a visit now."
"Yes, that is my concern with approaching Sisivel as well. We would have to provide a strong argument in order to persuade her to violate the ship owner's contract."
While Jamila has her own ideas on who the best option for their transport, she does elect to open the discussion to the others. "While I have a good notion on who would be best suited to the task of transporting us where we need to be, I am interested in your thoughts as well. This mission will require all of us working as one in order for us to succeed."
Jamila raises her arms up to get the attention of the two arguing parties. "Perhaps I can take these fruits off your hands. I and my companions are taking a long voyage and some fruit would certainly be welcome on our journey. I would be willing to pay full price for the transaction, naturally."
As Targos returns to her she gives the hawk a small smile. ooc]Well done Targos. Do not worry you will get a chance to hunt soon.[/ooc] As the oread moves off towards the tower, her eyes narrow briefly before she gives Krakos a smile. "Of course Krakos. Please do not tarry overlong. I do not expect it to take long to find an airship." She points out to where the distant airship is approaching the dock. The noise of the argument between the market denizens draws a frown. "Perhaps we should investigate this further. I suspect the cause of the dispute has already been handled so we just need to smooth the currents here." She motions for the others to follow her as she approaches the air wysps, calling out in the Auran tongue, "Ho there! We could not help but overhear your dispute here. We did find the cause of the accident here, some chuspikis were playing a prank as is their wont. Perhaps we can come to an accomadation here?"
Jamila glances up at the rooftop and notes the cause of the problems Ember is having. "It seems as if something is having some fun at our expense." She looks over to where her hawk circles above the others. Telepathy to Targos:
Jamila nods to each of her teammates as they offer their own brand of expertise and advice. "Thank you all for your insights. I am sure we will all work together as we undertake this mission. However, time is wasting so if no one has any other questions then our next destination is the Docks."
Jamila accepts the letter from Ashasar with a nod of thanks. "Thank you. This will be one less thing to concern ourselves over." Knowing there may still be some questions her teammates may still wish to pose, she keeps silent until the others have indicated they have no further questions.
Jamila waits silently as Ashasar delivers his briefing, paying attention not only to his words but also the reactions of her teammates. Once he has finished the briefing she attempts to recall if she had heard tales of such currents occuring naturally.
She recalls the words in the letter provided her earlier and decides to allow one of the others to take the lead here with their questions. Once the others have contributed their insights, she nods to Ashasar. "I understand the urgency of this mission and I would like to get underway as quickly as possible. Where would you begin looking for a...reckless ship captain?"
